Seeking refund for faulty furnace repair work completed on February 17, 2023. We had Rush Air come out to repair our furnace which had stopped working in February of this year. They replaced the pressure switch which did not fix the problem as the furnace would run for a short duration and then shut down. After conferring with other workers, they decided to run a new vent pipe through our roof and that seemed to fix the problem. We paid bill of $419.00 for the repairs. On December 5; 2023; we hired a different company, ************* to do a routine maintenance check of the furnace. We were advised by ******************* that the prior repairs on our furnace were unsafe and there was carbon monoxide leaking into our attic! They told us they would need to shut off our heat unless repaired correctly as they did not want to be responsible for death/injury. They told us carbon monoxide had been leaking all along since Rush Air had made the repair with dryer venting that was taped together with duct tape. ***************** had to redo the repair with the correct piping. This cost us an additional $427.50 to redo the work done by Rush Air in February. This could have resulted in the death of my wife and/or myself due to carbon monoxide poisoning! We have tried to contact the owner of Rush Air by phone and have left several messages that were not returned. We have also written a letter to the owner of Rush Air with no response. I am enclosing photos of the letter to the owner of Rush Air, *********************, a copy of the bill from Rush Air with the invoice number on it, and photos of both the shoddy repair by **** (photo #1) and the correct repair by ***************** (photo #2).
