Three major issues here: one is the poor level of customer service from the ******************** **** (***********) service department; another is the attempt to pass off a misdiagnosis to obtain a repair at unfounded expense; and the third is that the infraction occurred in March, and despite sending this by registered mail, to this August date we have received no feedback of any kind from the dealership silence! Extremely poor customer relations. Long story shorter: our a/c problem was fixed by a local mechanic for ONE TENTH what Jones **** wanted to charge us for a fake problem! While on an extended vacation in Casa Grande, we discovered our vehicles air conditioning was not working. We made an appointment and a service advisor filled out paperwork and a work order for a multi-point inspection of the a/c system. **** explained that the inspection charge would be nonrefundable, but would be applied as a credit if we decided to have the recommended work done. We understood the inspection would take several hours maybe three or four. We were driven back to our resort, assured the service department would call when we could be presented a repair estimate per inspection results. After four hours, no word from Jones ****. After five hours, I called the dealership and left a message for the service advisor. The clock moved on to six hours with no word from anyone at Jones ****. I called again with a message, and Guido (the service manager?) returned the call, saying they wanted to keep the truck overnight. My husband had made clear he wanted his truck back before the end of the business day, so declined Guidos suggestion, and insisted your dealership pick us up at the resort so we could get his truck before Jones **** closed for the day. This was done. My husband initially signed off on the paperwork which showing the techs diagnosis that a compressor issue existed which would require an approximate $2000 repair for which we would return next day. Then, we waited for half an hour for our truck. What the hecks going on? Wheres the truck? Finally we were told the key to our truck was not in the garage as it should have been. It was in the pocket of the tech when the tech went home for the day! We were returned to our resort, the key was obtained, our truck returned before dark. We cancelled the work order the next morning. Upon return to Utah, we took the truck to a local repair shop - whose check the a/c system and repaired it for a total of $186.25 incl parts, labor and tax, a TENTH of Jones ****s misdiagnosis.
