August 2023 we had our solar panels installed by Synergy Power LLC. We paid them $24,441, this covered installation (which was appeared to be contacted out to Apache Solar) and enough panels to generate part of our electricity consumption.During the sale process we were assured that we would see savings. However we are still paying the same amount as before and sometimes more plus $98.70 a month for our solar loan. We are not seeing savings. I thought maybe after a year of the panels we could see some improvement but we have not.I am disappointed in the sales technique used to get customers who don't need ********************** to buy into solar. Synergy wasn't the first solar company to come knocking at our doorstep. A company came by beefier them and they told us that financially we would not see any benefit from solar. We used the federal and state tax credits to help bring the loan down but it is still sitting at $17,079.Side note, the solar panels have also become a sore subject as we are attempting to sell our home.I wasn't planning on filling a claim but others have had the same issue it seems.Initial Complaint

In December 2023, I was contacted by a door to door sales person from Senergy Solar regarding a system for my residence. They were friendly and seemed honest. They set up a consultation with one of their sale agents and told us they would use our previous electric bills to determine our usage, then develop a plan to determine how many solar panels it would take to power our house and reduce our electric bill to $30 to $50 a month. Since we have had the solar panels that are so called powering my residence, our electric bill is more expensive than before we got them. The last two months weve paid $380+ in addition to the loan amount we committed to for purchasing the solar panels. This is unacceptable. *** reached out to Senergy Solar and my sales agent and advised him how much my monthly electricity bill was. He agreed it was outrageous and to send him my last two months of electric bill statements. I sent the requested information and never heard back from him. I cannot get ahold of anyone or receive any help to figure out why my bill is not what I was told it would be. With installing solar panels, I know I am bettering the environment, but I was guaranteed to lower my electric bill. It is bad enough SRP over charging residence with solar, but now not getting help from Senergy Solar is infuriating. Why is it with many business they treat you like royalty until they get your money? Solar panels are NOT cheap and as of now, only months in I am paying double. Before signing the contract, they said we could trust them. That clearly isnt true. I feel trapped- for the next 20 years until the solar panels are paid for.Initial Complaint

My system has been installed for one year. My system is having issues with the solar edge. After reaching out to solar edge a few times they informed me to call my installer. The installer, Senergy solar has been contacted on many levels yet no response back from anyone. Not it says the phone number is no longer in service. Its pretty trusting that they prey on people to make sales and then when an issues arrives they are impossible to get in contact with. Let alone the many other issues along the way that have been addressed numerous times.Customer Answer

I would like the company to fix the issues I am having with the system and be able to fix and address any issues that may arise in the future. All parts are under warranty and the coronary signed a contract as well. Why can they void the contract but Im stuck in a financial crisis? They need to be held accountable

Senergy promised a $600 incentive to cover the first 3 months of the cost of adding extra solar panels. I have not received this and it was written in the contract. I was also promised that I would be able to consolidate my previous solar panels with the add on. I was instructed to call after everything was installed and have the loans consolidated. When calling to consolidate I was informed that they would not consolidate my loans. I only agreed to adding panels on the notion that I would be able to consolidate the loans at my previous interest rate of .99%. The new loan is now 5.99% and I would not have agreed to this at this interest rate. I was told my monthly payment would be $300 and I am now paying $460 because they would not consolidate the loans. I have attempted to call more than 5 times and have not received any response. I also was able to get the CFO of the companys phone number and have reached out over 10 times about the issue and have received no response. Now when calling the phone number listed for Senergy it says the number is no longer in service. Another issue I had was I was electrocuted following them working on my panel to set up the solar panels. They wanted me to cover the cost of the electrician visit stating it was not them. I had my own electrician come out and states the wires were not grounded correctly and I had to get this fixed in order to not get electrocuted again. They also promised to put bird netting around the panels which was not done. They missed the beams on the roof so I have nails coming out visibly.Initial Complaint

Last fall synergy hired titan to put our solar panels on our roof. We were promised a 25 year warranty. A week and a half ago. I got a notice that there is a problem with my inverter. I have been calling synergy and emailing synergy and texting their representative that promised to always take care of me and I have not been able to have this issue taken care of. My solar production says 0 kW.Initial Complaint

Senergy was the seller of the solar system that they sold me and contracted with ******* to install. They sold me a Wattwise system that was supposed to eliminate any demand charge. Since install the wattwise system has not worked and is nonconforming. Additionally, the president of Senergy at the time, ******* promised me that at the worst case my electric bill would average to no more than $40 a month. This was a blatant lie and material misrepresentation. Senergy being the seller who sold the goods, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) ***** governs this transaction. According to this provision, the buyer has the right to receive goods and a tender of delivery that conform in all respects to the contract requirements. Under the ***, non-conforming goods may be rejected, or the buyer may accept all or a portion of the goods without losing any remedies otherwise available. The watt system that was sold, which was a material aspect of the contract, was defective from the outset. I notified Senergy and Arcadia of this defect within a reasonable time frame. Therefore, I have the right to reject the goods sold, and Senergy is liable. From the beginning, I was misled and assured that the issue would be resolved, and I was asked to be patient. Despite my patience, the system remains unfixed. Senergy keeps telling me to go through ******* since they are who they contracted with and installed the system, but they are no longer in operation according to ******* an employee of Senergy. I have requested my money back for the wattwise system and also requested my money back for the solar system since Arcadia is unable to repair or service the unit since they are no longer around. Since Senergy is the seller, once we entered into the solar contract, there was an implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose and warranty of merchantability. Since the wattwise was defective from the onset it was not fit for it intended purpose and therefore a breach of this warranty.Business Response

Senergy is the one who sold me the defective system and therefore has fraudulently misrepresented the performance and functionality of their system. Their system has not worked since day 1 as promised. I would like them to take responsibility and either give me my money back for the defective wattwise system they sold me or take off the system and refund the financed amount and the money I have spent thus far.Initial Complaint

I was promised savings in cost along with a refund of over $20,000 to offset the monthly payment cost. There is no LEGAL way to obtain the funds by tax filing within the 18-month grace ****** allotted to apply the amount to keep payments from increasing. This was a sale under false pretenses. I am also not confident I will produce the outline amount of solar. There has been no savings but increased expenses for my family.Business Response

***,
We apologize for any confusion. Our aim in sharing the 30% figure was to provide homeowners with an estimate of their potential reimbursement. However, tax responsibilities differ for each individual. We highly recommend seeking guidance from a tax professional to determine the precise amount you might receive. Regarding the system on your property, while we cannot remove it, we assure you that we will ensure your solar system operates at its installed capacity.
Thanks,
Senergy

Solar panel installation that had a signed contract date of 9/15/2023 with a installation date of November ************************************************* the original contract. Identified the issue after installation on January 31, 2024 and requested that the company replace the SE7600H that was installed with the SE10000H inverter that was on our contract. I have not received a plan or date that they plan to make this change and give me what i paid for. They did pay for my February solar bill but I am loosing over 14Kwh a day with this limiting inverter that is currently installed.Business Response

Dear ********************,
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We acknowledge the discrepancy with the inverter and understand the impact it's having on your system's performance. Rest assured, we are actively addressing this issue.
As our project management team has communicated, the installation of the larger inverter necessitates additional electrical work on your main service panel. To comply with city and utility guidelines, we must obtain additional electrical permits and utility approvals for this equipment exchange. We recognize the frustration this delay may cause, which is why we've reimbursed you for a full month's solar payment.
Please be assured that we are fully committed to resolving this matter promptly and optimizing your system's performance. We are currently waiting for the updated design plans to be completed and we will then promptly submit to the city and utility for appropriate approvals. Our project management team will keep you informed every step of the way, providing detailed updates as we work towards a resolution.
Should you have any further questions or concerns about your project, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Best regards,Customer Answer

I have been receiving the same information from this company, "we are working on it", it has been almost 2 months since this issue was discovered and no plan or permits have been issued or communicated to me. This problem has been costing me money every day for over 4 months now, paying me for one month does not resolve the overall cost that I am incurring while I continue to wait for resolution.Business Response
