Date of Problem: 26th August 2024.Amount Company Billed: $3025.Service Provided: Pool repair by Arizona Pool and Spa.Problem Description: I hired Arizona Pool and Spa to perform a pool repair, for which I was quoted $3250. The company committed to properly repairing the pool system, but the work was done poorly and resulted in severe damage. Shortly after the repair, the pool system failed, causing my entire pool to drain into my backyard and my neighbor's yard. The water rose dangerously high, almost affecting my AC system.Upon investigation, I discovered that the actual cost of parts used was significantly lower than what was charged. The filter they installed -- the centerpiece of the repair -- retails for only $1450 at national pool supply stores (see attachment "Competitive Quote for Pool Filter"). I also have concerns about the qualifications of the technicians sent by the company, as the work was substandard. When I contacted the company's owner to address the issue, I was met with verbal threats and insults over the phone instead of assistance. The company has not made very limited attempts to resolve the problem, offering only to "pay for the lost water" ($300 dollars), and I am now left with a price gouging repair bill, a damaged relationship with my neighbor (whose entire backyard was under water, as was my AC system), and additional expenses to inspect and overhaul Arizona Pool and Spa's work with another pool service company.Nature of the Dispute: I am seeking compensation for the damages caused by Arizona Pool and Spa's negligence, including the cost of repairing the damage to my property and my neighbor's property, as well as the cost of refilling the pool. I also want to ensure that other consumers are aware of this company's unprofessional conduct and poor service quality.I have documented all relevant details, including photos, invoices, and a timeline of events, and I am prepared to provide additional information if necessary.

      To Whom This May Concern:

This complaint has been resolved. The bill has been paid with an apology. The person who filed the complaint wrote

and I QUOTE " I will take back the BBB complaint-- I will call them Monday (when hotlines open) and say the matter is settled.  goes on to say If they message you, till then, just know that I will retract that complaint. Meanwhile, I can give you a 5 star ****** review as a first sign that my heart is open now." end quote.

He sent me a snapshot of the ****** 5 star and posted, and i QUOTE "Great business (he names us cont. we are A+ in pool maintenance and repair with thumbs up " end quote.  with another apology.

He then goes on to say..........I won't to continue pool service, (please call my wife r n). also says" if he could do over, he would". again, apology for getting emotional. I QUOTE he says, "he will take BBB complaint off the table". end quote.

They had cancelled pool service 3 days before filing complaint with BBB. At this time, we have not reinstated pool service.

We will see what happens come Monday
