    I have a 2017 Chrysler 300 that is having trouble with delamination of the radio screen. It make the my car make *** calls. It also will turn on the air conditioner then go full blast then switch to the heater. It will continue to switch from face to feet to defrost then go from hot to cold. It is 120 degrees in the town I live in the summer so it is not a good thing to have the heater blowing on your face. Or right now its very cold and the air conditioner will blow on me while driving full blast. The car will make random phone calls to whoever I spoke with last and it will proceed to call that person non stop. It will change radio stations every 2 seconds and when I hang the device up and turn off my radio it will turn back on by itself and continue to make call. The *** calling is random. This is a safety issue when I am driving on the highway and my car is doing random things with radio due to the lamination between the face of the radio and the inner face. This is not something I could have prevented it is something that happened for whatever reason. It is a distraction and when you are driving you should have limited distraction but you are driving and all of a sudden your stereo turns full blast and you cannot turn it down that can cause an accident with significant injury. I reached out to cooperate who suggested I go to the dealer I bought it from. I did so and they quoted me $2800. to fix this problem. I do not think I should be responsible for something I have no control over. Their reasoning was because I have a lot of mile. Of course I do I have had the car for 7 years. I am unsure what to do at this time. I cannot afford that kind of money and I should not have to seeing this is a manufacture problem. Radios do not just delaminate. There is a recall on it that I discovered after they would not help me but they state the recall is only for certain vin numbers which makes no sense to me. I am disappointed that this company would allow this safety issue

    We have acknowledged customer complaint. We have retrieved serial numbers and SDARS information. Submitted to ********** for after warranty Goodwill. Goodwill was denied due to time and mileage of vehicle. Manufacturer warranty is first 3 years and ****** mile warranty. Vehicle in service date was 6/20/2018 and current miles are *******. We provided customer with with estimate of parts and volunteered to provide labor as dealership goodwill participation. ****** ******** General Manager
