After speaking with Castillo Electric LLC multiple times working out the details of a solar plan, we wanted for our home in the Trico Electric district. We applied for a loan and was approved funding for $33122.62 for solar upgrade. On 10/2/2022, i signed a contract with Castillo Electric LLC and was assured that Castillo Electric LLC was an approved Solar installer for Trico Electric. We have made multiple inquiries for updates on our solar install. We were directly told multiple times a month by their sales team that the plans had been submitted and we are only waiting on Trico Electric to approve the solar upgrade. This continued from 10/2/2022 until 01/27/2023. I did not feel comfortable with the continued delays. Our install date was supposed to be 01/18/2023 and we have not seen any movement in the process. My wife called Trico Electric to see what was taking so long. At this time, we learned that Castillo Electric LLC was not Licensed to install solar with Trico since 2021. Trico has no records of an install packet ever being submitted for review. On 1/27/2023 at approximately 1100, we reached out to Castillo Electric LLC for clarification. We then were told that isn’t true and that they did submit plans and are an approved installer. We requested a call from Gilbert Castillo himself and our request was denied. Their sales team informed us that they were cancelling our contract agreement even though Castillo Electric was in breach of contract. We applied for a large loan with a locked in low interest rate and a low Kw hr plan that we can no longer get with a legitimate installer. Castillo Electric LLC scammed my family with the hope and promise that they were a legitimate professional Solar installer in the Trico district. They are not licensed, trustworthy, professional company. We have pages of text messages as well as signed agreements for everything stated above. This unprofessionalism has caused an unnecessary credit hit to our account. UNACCEPTABLE!
