      uni adjusting received a check for ******* for hail damage on my roof.they received this check on10/07/2021 i have not heard from them..liberty mutual is my insurance company.claim number ********. i have been unable to reach uni...first callrecording stated closed for covid all other attempts to reach them were a waste of time all different messages never a person calls always end the same way mailbox full cant accept message looks like a scam..... i want to cancel my contract with them but i cant talk to a person or leave a message

      In November of 2019 a UNI representative knocked on my door and talked me into and helped me file a claim for my roof with my insurance. Covid locked everything down for months soon afterwards so the company said it was backed up and did not know when my roof would be installed. I signed over 1 check to the company in 2020/2021 when the insurance finally agreed to an amount and then they were negotiating through the pandemic with my insurance to get my entire roof covered instead of just the partial that the initial check covered. I had no issue waiting because they told me my entire roof would be covered and I would only have to pay my $1000 deductible. I have been trying to contact them for months. Whenever I get the woman who works at the front desk on the phone she says they are behind and no date is given for roof installation. I have left multiple voice mails and at the beginning of December 2021 there was a voice mail recording saying there was a covid outbreak and the office was closed until Dec. 15th. It is now Jan 6th 2022 and I have still not heard back. I am only able to leave voice mails. I spoke to my insurance and UNI cashed my check that was given to them so I cannot cancel it and go elsewhere. Is this company a scam? I have the one check stub that I signed over to UNI and I have my contract with them but that is all I have for this entire ordeal that I have been dealing with since 2019.

      Hello,

       

      We informed ****** we do not have a preferred contractor at this time, she is able to wait for us to find one or go with her own contractor. She choose to wait, since returning from a massive covid outbreak and having to be hospitalized. We have written the funds owed back to ****** and this issue has been resolved.

      I was never informed that there was not a preferred contractor at this time. I was told that they were behind because of Covid but that was a year ago. Then my voicemails and emails were not returned. I also have not received any funds. The $6,647.28 check from the insurance company was cashed by UNI adjusting in January 2020. This issue has not been resolved. I ask that the company send me my funds and/or return my calls to resolve this issue.

      I was contacted by someone from UNI Adjusting group stating they could help us get a new roof that was on 06/02/2021. They told me they would do the whole process with our mortgage insurance. Our insurance send someone to do the inspection of our roof. *********************** was here the day they came out to inspect our roof that was on 6/10/2021. First American Property Insuance approved for us to receive a new roof. They issued two checks one was dated on 07/28/2021 in the amount for *********. the other check was dated for 07/28/2021 in the amount for ********. Uni cashed them both on 08/12/2021. I talked with them the second week of Aug. and they informed me that we were scheduled for our install for Nov. I asked her why is there such a long delay since you have already received our money for the new roof. She said the roofing companies they use are all behind due to covid and building supplies. I contacted them the first week of Aug. She said that someone will come to our home on Nov 18 2021 to go over the roofing companies contract work they will perform for us and we will pick out our color of shingles. Then we will give them our ******** deductible that we have with our homeowners insuance co. We never heard from anyone that day. I called several times that day and never got a phone call back even left several messages. I waited a few days tried contacting them by phone and several emails and nobody responded back. Dec 01 2021 I went to their office at **************************************. Just to find the office cleared out with a note on the door stating they were working remotley due to covid. for any questions call the business number ************. and had an email address. I called them several times have emailed them several times I have three emails for them and nobody has called or emailed me back. UNI has over $13.000.00 dollars for our roof they promised to get installed for us. We have no way of contacting them. We want and need our roof installed. ASAP

      We informed Mrs. **** we do not have a preferred roofer at this time and she is welcome to wait until we have one or she can go with her own contractor. Mrs. **** decided to wait for us to find a contractor that will work within her price range. Our job is not to install roofs, we negotiate with the insurance company and this informed to everyone who signs up for our service. The funds were written back to Mrs. **** within 2 weeks of her asked. No more funds is owned to Mrs. **** and this issue has been resolved.

      The check was in the amount of  $ 10,214.33

      I hired UNI to help me in submitting a roof repair claim to my homeowners insurance on 7/24/20. ******************************* was assigned to my case. She never kept me updated on the status of my claim. I only knew what was going on because my insurance company CC me on the info they would send UNI. UNI charges 20% of the awarded amount plus $250-500 dollars for the appraisal/expert fees. The insurance agreed to award me $7261.24 in 2 checks. The 1st one was for $4041.63 on 5/26/21. Which we signed and *** said as soon as it cleared we would get our part. We never did. The repairs were done the second check was issued for $2219.61 on 8/31/21. This is the only money I have receive. I am having a hard time contacting anyone through phone or email the office is deserted. *** said the accountant (***************************, The owner) has been out sick, that is why I have not received my money. I would really like to resolve this out of court. Them keeping my money is FRAUD.
