    My father broke his hip in July, 2021. After surgery, he went to Sierra Winds for rehab. Sierra Winds told us that they would require full payment up front as they didnt want to wait for insurance payment. We needed to get my dad into a facility so we agreed and paid over $12,000 to them. Of course we checked with dads insurance before doing this to make sure he was fully covered for these expenses. They informed us that he was. My dad entered the facility and on August 4th had a bleeding episode and was admitted to the hospital where he later died. He had not been in Sierra Winds as long as they had already charged us for. We have been trying to get monies owed us ever since. Sierra Winds has stalled us repeatedly and are not returning calls. Their billing **** is in complete disarray as there have been at least 3 billing coord. turnovers since Aug. They have paid some of the money but still owe us over $2,000 7 months later. I have a letter from them stating they still owe us money, but we cant get them to do anything about it. Our insurance *** says they havent received a **** from them since Sept of 2021 so what are they doing - not processing the insurance forms necessary so as to avoid paying us back? This outfit is really unorganized and poorly run as far as administration goes. We want the remainder of the money owed us so we can put this nightmare of an experience behind us. This organization seems a bit of a joke to be honest.
