If i could give this place zero stars i would. This place is a SCAM and waste of time and money. Im currently in their medical billing and coding program and being forced to drop out and not be able to finish my externship. 6 months of hardwork down the drain, $1400 of my hard earned money wasted, and a pointless $17k student loan sitting on my credit. I had to go without paying certain bills and spending time with my infant to focus on this scam of a college. I have 2 months left of this place and being forced to drop out bc they waiting until the last minute to say they have all of these stipulations and requirements in order to start externship. Having immunization records and whatever shot they require you to get wasnt a priority during enrollment when my money was happily taken from yall. Im dang near 30 and from a different state i dont have access to child immunization records from 2 decades ago and none of the staff is helpful what so ever. im looking for attorneys to try and *** this place bc they shouldnt be allowed to BS people like this.

The immunization requirements at Arizona College are in place to meet agreed upon patient safety
standards with our clinical partners. We have investigated the claim that the immunization and
externship requirements were not made clear upon enrollment and disagree with the claim.

As part of the application process, all prospective students review, discuss and sign, documents detailing
the expectations around clinical externships and immunizations. Students are subsequently made aware
of the externship requirements during a required externship orientation held the session prior to the
      clinical experience.

The campus leadership team at Arizona College has reached out to the complainant and has scheduled a
meeting with the complainant to discuss the concerns on December 6, 2023.

after my meeting with **** and ************** was given the runaround with no real resolution and being forced to drop out of the program wasting my time and money. instead of trying to work with me on a schedule for my externship, they said i would have to find another job. i have a family to support and theyre expecting me to find another fulltime job just to be in the exact same position im in now. even during orientation it was mentioned how majority of the students that attend were older and have families so im trying to understand how you expect your students in my position to commit to a fulltime 40/hr a week job/externship of free labor. there were several instances while i was attending class (including *******) that it was mentioned how some of the externships were subpar (one student mentioned how she was studying to be one thing but her externship site had her filing paperwork all day and not doing anything pertaining to what she was studying and theyre only resolution was that she needed to advocate for herself).

During our admissions process, the requirements of externship are explained by the admissions representative to all incoming students prior to signing the Enrollment Agreement. This Enrollment Agreement specifically explains externships are a full-time class during the daytime and the immunization and vaccination requirements. The complainant initialed that they understood all these requirements.  In brief, the timeline of events for the complainant are as follows:

February 8, 2023 Complainant signed the enrollment agreement for the Medical Billing and Coding program.
March 13, 2023 - Complainant started classes at Arizona College. Participated in ADM 101 ****************** course during the first term (10 weeks) that includes information on clinical externship expectations.
August 26, 2023 Complainant participated in the Externship Orientation where the requirements of the clinical externship were once again reviewed. The externship agreement was also signed by the student that included the expectations of the clinical externship course. This included the need for immunizations to be submitted to receive details on an assigned clinical site experience.
September 4, 2023 Complainant scheduled for the clinical externship course. The session started on this date. However, due to her failure to submit immunizations a site was not assigned.
September 27, 2023 Arizona College provided confirmation of the clinical externship site name and location. Immunizations still pending submission by the complainant.
October 2, 2023 Complainant did not show up for assigned site.
      October 16, 2023 Complainant dropped for non-attendance.

We remain committed to helping the student complete their program. We will continue to work with them and hope they will reconsider modifying the current work and personal schedule to complete the externship requirements so they can graduate.

I signed up for this college they send a list of things that cant be on your background the enrollment officer told me to mark no because it was a ticket now theyre saying I cant continue the program or get reimbursed although they never stayed your background must be 100% clear to attend.

      Business Response

      Date: 08/25/2023

The background screening requirements at Arizona College of Nursing are in place to meet agreed upon patient safety standards with our clinical partners, as well as to provide the prospective student a pathway to Nursing licensure within their state.  We have investigated the claim that the background screening requirements were not made clear upon enrollment and disagree with the claim.

As part of the application process, all prospective students review, discuss and sign, a document detailing the background screening requirement of the Bachelor of Nursing Science Program (***). Prospective students are required to disclose any event listed in the document that *** be disqualifying or rises to a level of concern.  All prospective students sign the document affirming that they have done so honestly and accurately.  The College depends on the accuracy of student disclosure to determine the appropriate next steps in the application process.  If a prospective student marks Yes to any potentially disqualifying conviction, they are required to initiate and clear a background screening prior to entering the *** program at Arizona College of Nursing.  Both via document and discussion with their ******************, prospective students with questions or concerns regarding the nature of their background are encouraged to initiate and clear a background screening prior to matriculation.  They are further reminded that regardless of disclosure, all students will initiate, and must clear a background screening in semester one.  Failure to complete, and / or clear this background screening will result in dismissal from the program at the end of semester one.

The Student Advocacy Team at Arizona College of Nursing has been attempting to contact the complainant but has received no response.  Please contact the Student Advocacy Team at ****************************************** for additional assistance.

I graduated from AZ college in 2017, 5 years ago. Im trying to continue my education so I called to get a copy of my transcripts. I was told I have a balance but I had used my GI Bill. My email has remained the same and they have my updated number. They are telling me 5 years later that I have a bill just sitting there. No agreement to pay, no invoice ever sent. So now I cant get my transcripts to start school until I pay this bill. Also this bill cant be forgiven because its not under a school loan. How can this be resolved? This is very unprofessional. I cant afford to pay this as Im trying to go to school and because its now an old loan I cant get it as a student loan Im also upset it cant be forgiven as its not considered a student loan. I just need my transcripts to continue my education.
