I left my Dogtopia in ******** on ************************************* The manager at that place is **** *******, She tried to tell me that my dog always weighed 9.2 pounds and I didnt know what I was talking about. I tried to tell her that ***** was a healthy 12.8 pounds, when my family and I came back from our vacation two weeks later my dog was nothing but skin and bones. She went down to 9.2 pounds. I had a rush her to the vet so she can be on IV for two days. And then when I told him that they should pay the vet bill because she left there so sick they said nope were not paying your vet bills. And they offered me two months doggy daycare for free. Do you honestly think after everything that they put me through and my dog through that I would actually accept that offer . You gotta be kidding me. Dont ever leave your dog there for boarding never ever ever. Through a bunch of liars and they call you a liar. And when I submitted all of her forms from when she was weighing 12.8 pounds from the vet, they called the vet as well. All I want is for Dogtopia to pay my vet bill $935.53. Thats all.Dogtopia

If you love your pets NEVER let them stay at Dogtopia in *********, **!We did a board from Sept. 22nd-25th and not only did they lie about their pricing but my dog was injured the day I dropped her off and no one called me. I learned of it on Saturday and that was only after I inquired about them because the webcams were not working. The worker claimed she was scratching at the crate, but my dog is 9 years old and has been board plenty times and never did anything like this. Later I learned it was the toenail on her back paw and not the front paw that was injured. When I picked up both dogs, her toenail was completely gone and she had a scratch on her nose. When I got her to the vet they said her injuries were more consistent with a fight than her scratching at a crate. They removed the rest of the imbedded nail and wrapped her paw. She is on antibiotic for 22 days and pain/anti-inflammatory meds for 5 days. After the vet appointment, I spoke with the owner, *******. I gave her the details. Her only explanation was her general manager was out, they had new people, and there was a bad storm in the area which affected the cameras. Of course, I told her this was no excuse and she mentioned the general manager was back today and terminated someone. However, if there was a termination, it was not due to my dog. She never offered to cover any part of the vet bill, but made it sound like I should be grateful for the price I received because it was incorrect, and she still gave me the military discount. All I could do was shake my head in disbelief! I did not give myself the quote and the military discount is what they offer! She was neither empathic nor apologetic for what her employees let happen to my dog. It is NOT hard to believe they leave the dogs unattended because when everyone came out to the front to watch me. There was NO ONE in the room with the dogs! UNBELIVEABLE!!!Dogtopia

Dear ***********************, We sincerely apologize for the experience you and your beloved pets had during your recent visit to Dogtopia in *********, **. Your feedback is invaluable to **, and we deeply regret that your trust in our services was compromised. We take these matters seriously and want to address your concerns. First and foremost, we are deeply sorry for the toenail injury your dog sustained during her stay with us. Our team's top priority is the well-being and safety of all the pets in our care, and it is clear that this situation fell short of our standards. We have not received the vet bill as of yet, but rest assured, we remain committed to resolving this issue and reimbursing you for any related expenses promptly. We are happy to report that our franchisee generously refunded you the cost of boarding for one of your dogs as well as your miliary discount, due to the fact that the quote you received was not clearly communicated that it represented a per dog rate and not the total for both boarding pups. We understand your frustration with the explanation provided regarding the storm affecting our internet access which interrupted your opportunity to access the web cameras. Periodically, our team checked in via web cameras and found them working during the playtime hours, but we do not have them on during the night since the lighting is too low and the dogs are sleeping! We appreciate your patience and the opportunity to make amends for your negative experience. Your pet's health and happiness are of utmost importance to us, and we will work diligently to regain your trust. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to improve our services.Review fromValerie B

DTC location I have no complaints about the facility but to turn away a sweet dog like my Jax just because I wanted to only bring him every other week is just sad. *** enjoyed going there very much but its obvious they care more about making money. Also, they automatically take money out of your account every Sunday. Its frustrating so be aware.Go to Canine Fitness. They are cheaper and you can schedule whenever you want and only get charged AFTER you pick up your dog. Care about doggies over making money. And have excellent reviews!Dogtopia

Hi *******, There are many reasons why we adopted a weekly enrollment model for our facility, but the foremost is the safety of the dogs in our care. Dogs that attend daycare every week, with the same group, experience significantly less escalations and enjoy a better play environment with familiar peers. Additionally, our coaches become intimately familiar with each dog and their individual needs. If our primary goal was to maximize profits without considering the best interest of ********, we would offer drop-in daycare. However, we established this business model to enhance each dog's individual experience in a safe setting. We recognize that this model may not cater to everyone's needs. However, many of our clients who value this consistency have noticed a positive change in their dog's behavior and comfort at Dogtopia DTC. Jax is such a delightful pup, and we're pleased to hear you've found a service that aligns more closely with your goals.Review fromJessica E

********, ** I adopted a senior dog and wanted to get him acclimated to a place, when I needed to have him boarded. I brought him once a week for 2 months, with no issues. When I attempted their grooming services, they could not complete the nails, because they said he was stressed out. I had him groomed there only once out of convenience, and I was disappointed. I have brought him to PETCO for ************ multiple times with no issues, and they did a much better job. When I finally committed to boarding him at Dogtopia, he didn't last 24 hours before they were having issues with ***** being there. I was 3 1/2 hours away and had to have a friend pick him up. I thought I was leaving him in professional and capable hands; I was mistaken. Mind you, Dogtopia is one of the most expensive places to have him boarded, but since he did well with daycare, I figured it was somewhere he was familiar with. I truly don't know what the issue was with the staff all of a sudden, that they couldn't handle a puggle; a puggle that they claimed was such a good boy every week. After that experience, I decided it was best to part ways with Dogtopia and not say a word, until now. I brought my boy to get his front nails completed, and feared that ***** would have an issue, because of Dogtopia's assessment, of my boy. When ***** returned him to me, they said he did great. Dogtopia is lacking in experienced groomers and coaches, which forced me to part ways with the company. I believe they take on more dogs than they can handle and don't have an outdoor space for the dogs to let out some energy, which I'm sure stresses the coaches out. I don't blame the coaches; I blame the company for allowing the facility for biting off more than they can chew.Dogtopia

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We truly value your feedback as it helps us understand where we can improve. Firstly, I would like to extend our sincerest apologies for any stress or inconvenience caused to both you and *****. We genuinely care for every dog that steps into our facility, and their well-being and safety are always our top priorities. ***** was indeed making commendable progress during his daycare visits, and it was our hope that he'd have a seamless transition into boarding. However, dogs, just like humans, can sometimes react differently to new environments and situations. Unfortunately, during his boarding stay, ***** became unhappy and, in his stress, bit multiple staff members. We felt it necessary to act in the best interest of ******* well-being, as well as ensure the safety of our team. Regarding the grooming services, we understand and deeply regret that we couldn't meet your expectations. We're continuously striving to improve our services and are glad to hear that ***** had a better experience with a different groomer. We appreciate your sharing this feedback with us. We always aim to provide the best care possible, and sometimes that involves making tough decisions for the well-being of the pets and our staff. We understand the distress and inconvenience this may have caused you, especially given the distance you were at. Lastly, your feedback is invaluable, and we are consistently evaluating and improving our facilities and services based on comments like yours. Thank you again for being so open with us. We wish ***** and you all the best in your future endeavors and hope you find the perfect place to cater to both your and ******* needs. Warm regards,Dogtopia of ********Review fromTiwana T

Dogtopias promise that Youre leaving someone who is a part of your family with us, and our team will treat your pet the same way they would their own, is a lie! Dogtopia of Vieras owner, ********************* is unprofessional! After using their boarding care for 3 days, my pet returned to me with a broken tooth (fang) which is very noticeable. After texting them due to closed hours, they denied the seeing a chipped tooth. So, I brought my dog in personally, so they could get a look at it, and she still denied that it happened. She then accused me of wanting money when I wanted an apology and my now pet vet visit reimbursed because of their poor supervision. She then continued accusing me of lying and opened the door for me to leave. She was horrible and her unprofessionalism is UNACCEPTABLE! No incident report, no I understand lets figure this out. Instead, its in our policy, and denial of the injury after seeing it with her own eyes. Dogs cant speak if they are hurt! This is pet cruelty and poor supervision! Never will my dog step foot within this establishment. I want ALL pet parents that treasure their dogs safety to beware of *********************!Dogtopia

Dogtopia of ********, SLC, **: Pros: You can hang out with dogs, you get free snacks, you get valuable experience with working with animals ****************** treats you great until you mention unionization or question their decision making. They will picks favorites and least favorites and promote said favorites without consideration of quality of work. They dont provide appropriate pay to amount of work and do not reward hard work. They will demote you for coming in late and make you come in. If you have an emergency i.e a death in the family, unless you find your own coverage. You will be put in rooms under unsafe conditions such as being sick with Covid or having 35+ dogs in the room. Your schedule is subject to change last minute without warning or consolation as soon as 6 hours before your shift. There is no sick time or PTO, if you call out more than three times in two quarters you will be fired. If you are late for any reason twice in a quarter you will be written up. Employees are allowed to hit the dogs for up to a month before they are fired, and only until coworkers all complain will you be questioned about it. They will not come to you with concerns they might have but instead focus on other employees moving up the ladder. You can love every dog, do you job exactly right and then some, and kiss managements boots but if they dont like you for any reason you will not be in consideration for employments. If the rover decides to give you a break, you get one 15 minute break despite and 8 hour shift length. Rovers work up to 9 hours and get no breaks. Pet parents value their dogs lives over human lives and will treat you accordingly. Management is promoted from within but gets no management experience, they will apply new policies and either forget them in a weeks time or pick and choose which to abide by. Everything is broken, crates are ***** and mop buckets rarely get changed. In conclusion: its highschool in a dog daycare formDogtopia

Dogtopia of **** It took me a while to decide if I would write this as I was initially pleased with the service. I have two Goldendoodles; one is standoffish and observant, while the other is playful and curious. Neither are aggressive at daycare. Over the past several months, issues I can no longer ignore have continued to reoccur. Some are minor inconveniences, while others are safety and health risk. I was notified that my dog was bitten (the shy observant one), and it had punctured the skin and looked pretty swollen. The puppy that bit him was learning manners (in one of their courses) and wanted to continue playing as my dog was passively walking away. This led to my dog being shaved and having a nasty infection that spread and a $256 veterinarian bill. He is still tender in that area, and the hair has not fully grown back in yet but is growing in another color. Now I know that things can and do occasionally occur outside anyones control. What bothered me the most was that the owner never called to check on my dog. He was bitten at your facility, and not once did you reach out. He had to stay out of daycare for a long time to heal and for the infection to subside. I never heard a concerned word or peep from the owner until I contacted him. It was noted that my two dogs would no longer be placed in that particular room. I was also assured that the staff was notified, which was indicated in their computer records. Time after time, I would see them in the room with the aggressive dogs and the one who bit mine. They did not honor their word. I saw them in that room on the cameras. I asked the owner about them being in the room he said they no longer would go to, and he was dismissive of my concerns. This is unacceptable when there has been a history of an aggressive dog that has already attacked.I am unsure if the frustration, health, or constant lack of financial oversite is worth continuing with their services.Kind Regards,************************* 12/26/22Dogtopia

Thank you. You have left me 2 voicemails which I responded I would call back tomorrow as I was still celebrating the Christmas holiday with my family. Also, I had notified the staff 12/20 as well as e-mailed I wanted to place my dogs on hold for the holidays until at least 1/16/23. So Im not sure why we were again charged Monday for a week of daycare and unsure why they would still be on the grooming schedule for Wednesday (tomorrow). Like I mentioned earlier today, I will be calling tomorrow to review my concerns that you are now more opened to reviewing with me. Thank you.Review fromEMMY B

AVOID THIS BUSINESS: New location ******* on ****** by ********. My dog was mauled at this location. Deep penetrating wounds to the neck that took more than a week to drain and a month to heal. I watched the camera footage with staff and there was no question the offending dog went full attack on a play invite from my dog. The offending dog was put on rotation with my dog rather than being expelled which meant my dog had to be crated for the mauler to be out. I was told my dog would be out for play every 30 minutes, sometimes I was told 15 minutes, when I saw through webcam that wasnt happening, I was told they were doing it every 10 minutes which was also a lie. With staff turnover, instructions for the rotation were messed up and my dog was left out with the mauler. After not seeing my dog on the floor on the webcam for a couple of hours and seeing the mauler out, I called concerned. I had to call several times to get through to the actual location (instead of a call center) and was told of the mix up, that my dog was out of the crate regularly, just cowering by the door the whole time out of the crate to be away from the mauler. Additionally, this business regularly and simply lies about what goes on during your dogs day. If you watch the cameras and compare what you see to what they say, it doesnt line up. Last, please please please do not have your dog groomed here. I have worked as a groomer. When I was visiting with office staff, a dog in the next room was literally moaning and screaming to the point I became distressed. I was told the dog was having a bath. I have never heard anything like it. I wished I could have stopped that dogs distress. No dog should have that kind of distress for a bath. My dog was learning bad habits there. For example, I never allow him to jump on me, he comes when called etc.; he started acting out and ignoring commands after two months at Dogtopia. Most concerning is they lie. The cameras speak the truth.Dogtopia
