  Been waiting for 3 weeks for a leak to get fixed, we scheduled an appointment turns out the plumber got sick now I have to wait some more time they're completely careless the warranty ***** think twice before biying from **** in the first month A/c went out now a leak barely bought this NEW BUILD home and already have all kinds of issues you wouldnt expect from a New House.

  We have reviewed Mr. ********** claim. We had attempted to response to Mr. ********** but it appears the contact information we had on file was that of his *********** Agent and not Mr. ********** We have rectified that situation. In any event, there is no record of any AC issues being reported to Hovnanian, as Mr. ********* addressed those directly with our subcontractor, the HVAC installer. We are now diligently working with the subcontractor to resolve all warrantable issues.

  Its unbelievable that a builder could do such a horrible job building houses that cost so much money. This builder built an entire community filled with issues, and 2 years after completion of the last home they are no longer responding to us for the horrific structural issues with almost all the homes in this neighborhood. We had to hire a structural engineer and they confirmed that the foundations of the homes are no longer level, causing walls and ceiling to crack inside and outside the home.

  This is an honest experience with this home builder. Esthetically the home looked fabulous, but after year 1 things went down hill. My wife and I keep a very clean and well maintained home but what do you do when paint starts falling off exterior, water pressure dies out due to faulty plumbing, concrete slab splits after 1 summer, exterior wood trimming (upper and lower exterior) splintered beyond repair? This home unlike my first home was the worst investment my wife and I made. I should've paid a few extra bucks and went with Richmond Homes instead of paying half a million for a tent!!!

  Absolutely, the worst home builder. Not one trade did a good job on my house. Grade on garage slopes toward the house so water comes in the garage when it rains. Stairs: broken steps and large areas not stapled down. Drywall, I can see every seam. They cut wide on outlets so you can see into the cavity. There is an area with no drywall on my stairs. Can see mesh popping through on a few areas. Paint: They didnt paint, but they did prime. They made sure to not tape or remove any of my black hardware. Its in my carpet, on most surfaces, Tile: mismatching grout. Most tiles are uneven. Exterior was not watertight. Air conditioning was broken and couldnt return heat/cold air downstairs. Cabinets are less than builder grade. Marred, dinged, dented, water damage. Drawers cant open/close without falling off track. Broken countertops - they promised to replace it, but they ended up just putting epoxy on it, and it looks awful. But thats how they do warranty. They make sure the fix is worse than the problem so you dont ask them to fix stuff. Thats been my experience. *** tried to tell corporate a few times how awful the local builder is, but they dont respond and I end up having to deal with the people that I have a complaint against. What makes me so mad is i thought inspectors would protect me from builders like ****, but they continue to build garbage grade houses.I am currently renovating a brand new house because **** is the epitome of landlord special and wont fix whats wrong with it. All I can do is try to warn others.

  We acknowledge receipt of ****************** claim, and we are diligently working to resolve all warrantable issues. Hovnanians construction and warranty teams have taken a all hands-on deck approach to with ****************** claims, but we have encountered difficulty in scheduling with **************** as he has refused access to our trades. **************** has also asked for monetary compensation rather than repairs, but repairs is what is provided for in our ******************** Warrantyand ******* ****** we have the licensed and bonded responsible trades ready, willing, and able to address any deficiencies in their work. We will continue to work **************** in hopes that he allows Hovnanian and its trades the access necessary to repair the items at issue.

  I love my home but there are a few thorns. The worst part of it is, just a few problems with my home but K Hovnanian Homes has refused to fix these items right. They have forced me to write reviews and contact other traded to fix their problems. I will have to *** to recoup the money I have spent to fix the items they are responsible for. Word of advise, use a licensed Realtor, your own home inspectors and go see your house being built as many times as you can.

  This letter is in response to the complaint filed with the BBB:This home closed on 7/9/2015. As required by the Registrar of Contractors, the home was under warranty for a period of 2 year from the close of escrow date. We have reviewed the history of warranty submission items for this home and do not show record of any roof issues reported within that timeframe. We recently received a request reporting a roof leak on 3/15/2023. At that time, the request was denied due to the home being almost 8 years old

  Unfortunately, the leak was not detected until after the first year. When the builder did come out to look at the leak, they determined there was no leak. When I had a drywall company come out to repair the damage, they noticed a previous repair. I had never repaired the drywall previously. The drywall was repaired with drywall screws (not nails) and mesh tape (not drywall tape). So, the builder had to be the only person to make repairs, prior to turning over the home and never disclosed the leak in the roof and still to this day, has not taken responsibility for it and refuses to fix roof leak. This is obviously the reason why there are so many class action lawsuits.
