1 star1. The "Mercy" Myth:Mercy? More like "Merciless." They might as well change their name to "Malignancy General Deceptiveness Health." The only mercy here is in how quickly they'll fleece your insurance.2. Billing Practices - A Comedy of Errors:Their billing is so absurd, it's like watching a stand-up comedy show where the punchline is your bank account. You get billed for the air you breathe in their hospital. "Oh, you looked at the wall? That'll be $500."3. The Care Conundrum:"Care" at Mercy General is akin to a snake charmer's promise of safety. You go in for a simple check-up and leave feeling like you've been through a medieval trial. They've got more "care" in their name than in their service.4. ****************** An Oxymoron:If you think getting through to customer service will be a breeze, think again. It's like trying to contact an alien civilization. When you do get through, you're met with the warmth of a polar bear in winter.5. The "Dignity" Delusion:Dignity? Here, dignity is treated like a rare, mythical creature. They strip you of it faster than a magician pulling off a rabbit trick. You leave feeling less human and more like a bill number.6. Medical Errors - A Horror Anthology:Their medical errors could fill a horror anthology. You come in for a simple procedure and leave with an extra limb or an organ you didn't know you had. And if you complain? "Oops, our bad," while they chuckle to the bank.7. The Scam of Hospital Ratings:They boast about ratings, but it's like a serial killer being rated on politeness. Sure, they might have good ratings from somewhere, but those are probably from people who've never experienced their "care" firsthand.8. The Overpriced Medication Scam:Their medication prices would make a pirate blush. *******? That'll be your firstborn. They've turned basic healthcare into a luxury only the elite can afford.Review fromPaul R

1 starWorst care ever. Came in to ER with eye abrasion. Saw *********************** the ED PROVIDER. He did an eye exam with a ***** lamp and dye. He doesnt know how to perform this test as he did it improperly. Decided he would just call it an ocular migraine. He treated me for an ocular migraine. They asked me how I was feeling after the treatment. I said my eye hurts really bad. They said it looks better and gave me the paperwork and sent me on my way. the next day I was much worse and had vision loss . I went to an urgent care, and saw physicians assistant . She perform the same test but did it properly, which was very different from ****** technique and she said, yes you have a cut on your eye , its right there plain as day I told her he performed the test with the lights on and she tried it that way with the ***** lamp and she said yeah you cant see anything, you have to have the lights off Its maddening that St Joes is employing worthless doctors who have no clue what they are doing. I was given medications that I didnt even need through IV. This is irresponsible and dangerous . If doctors dont know what they are doing then ask another doctor, they have a responsibility to these patients. Im tired of the fake it till you make it mentality at this place. Steer clear from this hospital.Review fromThomas K

1 starI have several doctors with Dignity Health, **** ********. I received an email listing one appt in April & two in October. The problem is that they didn't say with WHICH DOCTOR. I have no idea where to go when the appt. comes up as I don't know what office to go to. I called their appointment number & was put on hold. About 10 minutes later I was told there were two calls ahead of me. A total of 37 minutes on hold I received the same message, there are two calls ahead of me so I just hung up. Never talked to a person so now I have no idea what to do. How do they stay in business?Review fromAimee M

1 star*************************** of Dignity Health is absolutely horrible. She is just ignoring my issues. I was seen at ER and diagnosed with pelvic congestive syndrome via CT scan with contrast dye. I was informed last week my insurance will not cover it unless I get an ultra sound or peer to peer first. But shes completely ignoring my needs. Im left blowing in the wind needing her help. I keep calling. My insurance faxed them. She is ridiculous and makes Dignity health look bad. Her last name absolutely fits her.Review fromCara R

1 starI went to Dignity Health *********** in *******, ** (on ******************* *****) with a sinus infection, two times, one week apart. The charge for these simple urgent care visits was (better sit down) $455.00 for EACH visit. My insurance covered $355.85 for one visit, but my balance due after the insurance was $467.15!!! This doesn't include the prescription costs. This is an outrageous price to pay for a quick 15-minute urgent care visit. I'm disappointed in this high cost, especially when if I paid cash, it wouldn't have come close to this price. Dignity Health should be ashamed! I contacted Dignity Health, along with my employer, and they would not budge on how much they charged me for my two urgent care visits. My service was fine, however, this is a ridiculous amount of money for a couple of urgent care visits. I will now do the *************** low-cost virtual doctor visits. What do I love about Dignity Health? Their commercials.CJReview fromKim D

1 starThis is just Grotesquely observation they BILL EXTRAORDINARY HIGH. It is unbelievable. I had a Gall Bladder attack they did an MRI and gave me a shot for pain. The bill $6118 . I was in and out in less than two hours. They did nothing else. They charged like they are a Hospital Emergency Room which they are NOT. It's a glorified URGENT CARE with a MRI machine. BEWARE YOU WILL BE OVER CHARGED. I AM FILLING A FORMAL COMPLAINT.Review fromCorinne J

1 starWish I could give zero stars. I had a payment plan set up for my twins visit to urgent care when we were out of town. I was told that the payment plan was for both accounts. It was being taken out monthly for months! I get a call 6 months later that they sent me to collections for one of my sons. This is on you dignity. Never a call never a statement sent in the mail. Just a call from collections. I couldn't even login to an account because I never received the statement number. You couldn't even make it right. What kind of service is that. I pay my bill and still get punished. Don't go here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Review fromSusan W

1 starI'm surprised no attorney has filed a class action suit against Dignity's billing ***** Jan. 2020 my husband had a pacemaker put in at a Dignity hospital in ******** **. Insurance covered 100% of the procedure with had no co-pays. Jan. 2021 we got a past due bill from Dignity with a balance due of $1580. No explination. Just the date of service, total amount billed, total paid by insurance and the past due total. Called the number on the bill and was told they just received the bill and they have 2 years to collect and we could set up a payment plan with him. Nope...not happening! I requested an itemized statement showing everything that was billed and every payment/adjustment that was applied. That one showed we owed $207. I called the records **** at the hospital. They said his account has a zero balance and she ordered a "Demand Bill" showing all activity on the account. ******************** billing has put a hold on that charge pending more info from the insurance Co. Jan 2023 we were in an accident and ended up in the same hospital. We've been going back and forth with the insuranse *** and Dignity since Feb. Dignity isn't sending the right paperwork to the insurance comp so the bill can be paid. I'm sure they will send us a bill for $74,000, but we will fight the bill! The insurance *** said we are only responsible for my husband's co-pay and to let them know, immediately, if we receive any bills from Dignity. If we have any more issues, I will be filing a complaint with Arizona's ************************** As a side note, Dignity is farming out their billing to Asia and the people you talk to have no access to your hospital account info. If they can't find your info, they ask for your name, address, phone number, DOB and even your SS#. do not give them any of this info.Review fromSamantha A
