I own a park model home in *********************. The only option here in my area of the park is Jabba. From the time I moved in coming on 4 years ago I have nothing but problems with the internet. I have lost count how many times I have called to get my service rebooted. My internet is off and on daily. I have called many times and asked for someone to come out and check it. Only once has anyone ever come out. They raised my antenna. It worked for a few days. They are by far the worst at customer service. I feel that I should be credited for half my monthly charge over the duration on my service. They did not honor their end of the contract.Initial Complaint

August *****, 2024 I stayed at **************************. Jabba Communications is the internet provider for that RV Park. I purchased a one week service on August 13 and a one week service on August 20. On August 17th I called Jabba as there was no internet service, and after several calls was told they had an outage. I called again on the 18th and was told the same thing, again on August 19th I was told the same thing, sometime on the 19th service was restored. I requested a refund for the days without service and I was told that their billing department reviews outages and I would be refunded. After several weeks I called again and was told that my account would have to be reviewed and that the refund amount was small so why would I bother. After couple weeks I called again and got a ticket number and was told it would be reviewed. After several more weeks I called again and was told the ticket was closed because I purchased a week and there are no refunds. Again I was told it is a small amount and not worth the work. I did not request the refund because I did not use the internet but because they could not provide the service. No where did they specify that there are no refunds if they can't provide the service I paid for. I use the internet for work and I lost two days because of no service. The attitude of it being the small amount and not worth the effort shows such a lack of integrity by a company.Business Response

The package purchased was the $14.95 Week package, which is a pre-paid option with no proration. Our Day packages cost $5.95 per day, while the weekly packages are priced at $14.95. Once the usage within a week exceeds three full days (noting that it is clearly stated that the package was used for five days of usage), the week package will be considered fully paid. Only our recurring monthly packages qualify for prorated credits and refunds, as those can be hibernated to earn credits or activated partway through a monthly cycle.Customer Answer

I do not believe this is a valid way for them to do business and it does not satisfy me. I appreciate the BBB doing what they could and from this point on I will go ahead and lodge the complaint with the ***.Initial Complaint

Whenever we lose internet (always after a rain), it takes days and weeks to get it back on. Jabba doesn't even know it is out until someone lets them know. then they acknowledge it and say they will report it. Sometimes they will issue a ticket, sometimes they will not. They never can give an ETA when it may be back in operation. They never can say what the problem is or what is required to fix it. They will never let you speak to a supervisor. They will not tell you who you are talking to or give you an ID to reference. They will hang up on you if you continue to find out who you should call or get details from. My service has been out for 9 days down. In May, it was out for 30 days and I requested a credit, which i did not receive,Initial Complaint

We decided to go with jabba Because they had the majority of the towers in the park. Once we signed up, they told us that any time. We moved to any other park. It should connect very easily. We called the day we got transferred. Because that's spot was being taken up by somebody else. And had to move in the exact same park but to a different lot number. We were told that they don't know when a technician will be coming. We informed Jabba That we have a business and we need reliable internet, I run a podcast, called Freaked Out, My wife has a following of over 3 hundred thousand followers, and I'm about to share my experiences there. All we are asking is for a technician to come out there. At least give us a date and time! Almost 1 week. This is unexpectedBusiness Response

I was told not to contact them again in response to my issue. I was repeatedly lied to over and over. This message says that they have someone scheduled when I was not even notified by them they also called me today just 5 minutes ago and told me they "May" be out on the 8th no Guarantee. I'm completely dissatisfied with the service and lack of communication and lack of care for their customers.Business Response

after talking with the tech he has told me there has been several complaints about a customer service representative who never gives his name and is always rude. Also the technician also told me he was not busy on Wednesday the 1st of November or the 2nd or the 3rd so the fact my ticket was not submitted that very day and to have a technician come out when he was in fact in the area is crazy. They also had my place marked down wrong as well. The technician did not receive my ticket even though I called everyday sometimes 3 times a day for a week straight with no resolution until I contacted the BBB. This issue could have been resolved the day I requested and this company was cold, rude and didn't care. I work from home and lost put on Alamost $4,000 dollars in the time I was offline. I am extremely upset still knowing how poorly the customer service representatives were.Initial Complaint

Jabba's tech support, refused to aid me in anyway. Despite having an outage. ****** flat out refused to allow me to speak with a supervisor and then hung up on me that was Aug 2 2023 at 4:22 pm Est. I called back spoke to **** who when I asked for a manager hung up on me as well. Aug 2 2023 at 4:26 pm. A third call, I was told there is an outage. I am still without service and have no one else to call.Business Response

We have reviewed the calls between the customer and our representative, and it appears that there was an initial disconnect with the customer recalling the information tied to their account. As soon as the correct account information was provided, the issue at had was found and passed along to our networking engineers to resolve. This was not an issue that had required any sort of management or supervisory authority to handle.Customer Answer

I am still having issue. This has not been resolved at all. Also the situation did require a supervisor because the issue was the same as now. First off your hardware here has a physical issue and still does. Second your having a spooler issue with your DHCP server which I would have explained. You however feel that this action and the response was justified by your Tech/Initial Complaint

We use Jabba for internet in our RV park in ***** over the winter. We arrived Saturday evening and called to turn it on and they did. It has not worked since they turned it on. We have had repeated calls to them and generated numerous tickets with no results. They have no technicians on site here so we waited for one to come. They told us the technician was on site since the weekend and all the times we called we were told he was still here and would contacts us. We called twice a day to confirm and were assured he was on site still. Today we called as we always have to because they never call us back. Now we are told there is no longer any technician in the valley. We are frustrated and have been trying to be patient until now. Our neighbors have had exactly the same response the month before we arrived. We feel they have had plenty of time to fix the problem and have been completely unhelpful in doing so. It seems they have a system to generate tickets while ignoring our calls.Business Response

During the period 10 February 2022 to 3 March 2022, I signed up online for internet access via WiFi provided by Jabba at ********************** in *******. On 3 March 2022, I notified Jabba by email to their support desk that I had departed the park and that they should terminate my service and refund any unused credits in my account. Despite that, they have persisted in billing me monthly $29.95 for service that I do not receive and had formally requested they cancel. Repeated calls to them have had no results. They simply open help desk trouble tickets but close them with no action.Business Response

I received my first call from them yesterday. They asked how much of the overcharges I was asking to be refunded. They noted that I had disputed some of my charges with my credit card provider and wanted to know if I had disputed the remaining charges. I responded that I had and they ended the call. The credit card company advised me that they are still awaiting a response from the company.Business Response

Jabba advertises $34.95 for 10 ***abytes. They have outdated equipment that registers 4 *** if you're standing next to the antenna. The clubhouse reaches 9. Right bow we are at 0.4 ***. They are ripping people off by not providing nearly anything that's advertised. They are frauds and should be shut down.Business Response
