  My experience with this company has been great! I have went on two separate tours and they were both the best vacations of my life. The women were beautiful. The staff was professional and most of all they make sure you are well taken care of as far as needs and services. The people that left negative reviews must be the guys that go there with a bad attitude or do not have the women they want like them back. I became good friends with the guys from both of my tours. And needless to say I found someone good and excited to see what the future holds. Thank you ***!

  Thank you for the review. We have been providing these services for men and women for 30 years, since 1995. The vast majority of men and women have very positive experiences, witness the hundreds and hundreds of reviews on the site. We do an amazing job of controlling everything we can control, but you have to keep in mind that this is real life dating which is vey personal and there is only so much control we have over who will meet who will attend, etc etc. All the logistics and events are very well done, the staff are amazing and will treat you like family, and the opportunity is normally much more than anything you can find anywhere else, but at the end it is up to the men and women involved to take advantage of any and all possibilities provided and move forward as they see fit. In this case it is obvious that Aashan did a great job of putting himself in a position to be successful. Thank you again for taking the time to write a positive review on this platform, unfortunately most reviews here tend to be negative due to the nature of this platform.

  I recently joined a seven day A Foreign Affair tour to ******.. There were ten of us. The consensus was it was misrepresented, mismanaged or just a plain ripoff. Be aware. Before leaving you must sign off on terms and conditions most of which is about Covid restrictions but there is one about some woman don't like to attend group events. That is a red flag! At the first "social" of nearly 40 women we could recognize at most three women whose profile and photos are on the two websites of A Foreign Affair, the woman at the social were not on the sites. That made the speed dating of the event more difficult. Our conclusion was this seemed to be a bait and switch operation. It gets worse. They conducted the next social in the dark. Speed dating in the dark! It gets worse. Many of the women at the second social were East European who did not understand English or Spanish well so the translators had to deal with three languages. By the next day most of the group were booking flights to leave early. I was offered a date with an attractive woman of unknown nationality on the far side of the city late in the night. Who wants to ride Ubers or taxis around *********** at night. Not I. Ripoff

  My fiance and I very much appreciate all of *** from the administration down to the local Bangkok staff. Everyone did an EXCELLENT job with everything regarding the tour. Everyone with *** has been a big help to us. I've hired an immigration attorney to help us with the fiance visa.AFA is IMBRA compliant. Some of the complaints I've seen on here are actually because *** is compliant with federal law. Potential customers should research this and write their congresspeople if they're not happy. This is not AFA's fault.AFA is the best platform hands down to find the love of your life in the countries in which they operate. They have plenty of tools to do just that.I used AFA's tools to extensively research ladies with their profiles and videos. When I found ladies that I wanted to talk with, I wrote them letters. *** plays down the importance of the letters between men and ladies, but that is specifically what had my fiance convinced that she wanted to be with me prior to coming to the social. She didn't even want to talk with any other men. Because of the letters, I had 5 ladies show up at the first social-just to see me! I had 2 ladies scheduled for the second social and 2 ladies scheduled for dates after the socials. The letters are an excellent tool to screen ladies prior to going on a tour.The translators from *** ******* were touched by our letters to each other. Without their hard work, my fiance and I might not be together. I want to highlight them because I don't believe that they get enough credit. They are key to ***. Their people skills and translation skills are enormously important. I hope that *** will continue to offer the letters. The letters will help my fiance and I in the process of getting her fiance ***** which documents our communication.*** has an excellent staff in each of the countries in which they operate. They were enormously important to my fiance and me. They took great care of us, gave us invaluable advice and are wonderful people.

  Thank you so much for sharing your actual experience with us. All too often people will share the negative but not so much the positive, especially on this platform. It was interesting what you had to say about the correspondence. Many men struggle with that, (those that actually go and meet virtually always do well) but often that is because they do not use it in the way we advocate on the site.   Four years of being frugal/cautious, I've witnessed every girl, ***** years, follow similar script with actions always leaving me high and dry. Rarely do they answer questions in letters. I received credit if I proved that fact. Recently, I wrote a girl in the ** after much thought. Shockingly different! She answered all questions, wrote amazing letters, and wrote things that matched my thoughts prior my feedback. Seventeen letters later we did a 30-minute zoom call. We confirmed by sight and sound we were honest people. Next, I submitted a government form she signed. That enabled the agency to disclose our personal info to each other. It set us free from the site. I got her info. Sent a text asking how she was, when a good time to chat was, etc. Her reply in 3 separate texts. OK, Prefer real meet, and Not into texting? Again, I asked when I should call? Replied, Now! I couldn't but I fit it in because SHE was busy after. I asked basic questions, and she REFUSED to answer. Now I'm uncomfortable. She dictates how things will be. No texting, FaceTime or other communication was allowed until we met first. She didn't want to get emotionally involved on a phone and then find I was a jerk in person! She was mean, evil and cruel. Not the person I saw and spoke to on Zoom. Focused on having a family was her plea. She knew about my business, and she teaches? I explained being 1000 miles apart would take planning, so we need to communicate. SHE HUNG UP. I spent $170 on letters that honored me, $150 for a zoom call in the ** and $400 for the government form. I got 8 minutes of a scam call. This person went all the way to steal from me. Others ended things harshly on the site. I won't settle for talk about how great this company is. Most every girl is a model. I was after character hoping for a natural pretty one. None to be had. I know many Eastern European ladies. They are not like any on this site. I want my money back. I'll do what needs to be done. Will these people??

  AFA Have been a detective for over 37 years and after spending $800 in one month and carefully scrutinizing the correspondence. I have convinced myself that I have not been corresponding with the women in the pictures. Have not received one legitimate response to my line of questioning. Just short, enticing notes to keep us guys on the hook. Additionally, have paid for additional photos just to learn that the photos sent were just the same batch, just retained and sent for additional payment. It's just like everything else out there, scams, false promises and old-fashioned thievery.   This seems like it might be a good way to meet a nice woman in a foreign country but I have a couple of suggestions for the company:-Allow the women to look at mens profiles from their own devices at home and contact who they are interested in instead of a matchmaker sending an intro letter from women who know nothing about the man. At least then the man knows the woman has seen his profile and has a genuine interest.-While I am sure there are many beautiful women on the site, the pictures look like they are mostly taken by photographers affiliated with the company and appear heavily filtered in both the face and body areas. Most of the women even in their 50s appear to look like super models and I am sure this is not the reality. I understand the women are trying to look their best but a much less filtered photo will give men a much more realistic idea of what they look like. Just a couple of ideas from a man on improving the customer experience.

  Yes everthing tht is said here is true , i experience a situation where i signed up for a package to communicate with a young lady from ********* i decided to try the smaller least expensive package which i believe was $50 just so i could open and send a letter to this girl to see if she is real, after i sent one letter i notice a charge on my account for $89 instead of $50, but the funny thing is that email i sent should have only been $10 because letters was $9 even though they had a lower price when i signed up so that was a big red flag for me i call my CC company and tell them not to pay that$89 and block these scammers from using my account.I do believe this site is a big scam and i think they are owned by the ame company that owned TAN TAN ASIAN CUPID, ***********, ASIANFEEL all chinese dating is run by a chinese sindicate i have experience asianfeels,tantan,foreign affairs and many more and they are all the same thats why i knew that this site was a scam ,they are very ******* they know how to use words to pretend a if they are real.Guys save your money and travel to an asian country their are many more beautifull girls there waiting for you DO NOT JOIN ANY CHINESE DATING SITE as a matter of fact stay away from all online dating ,travelling is the best way to meet your woman

  We are a bit confused about this review. We did attempt to call the client to clarify what he has stated here, but he did not answer. He did place a $100.00 deposit for correspondence on December 14th 2022. Because it was $100.00 we gave him a 10% bonus, so his balance was $110.00. He may have meant to deposit $50.00, but he clicked on the $100.00 option, which is what he received, (that option does give the 10% bonus as the $50.00 does not). We did not charge him $89.00, there is no $89.00 option (he may have confused his account balance with the credit card charge). He still has a positive balance of $80.03 on his account, since he only sent 2 letters and received one back from her. He could have easily requested a refund at any time, but he never did, even though he logged in 2 days ago. He then talked about other companies that he stated owns AFA. That is absolutely false as we have no affiliation or anything whatsoever to do with the companies he mentioned. We have been assisting singles all around the world to meet and develop relationships for 30 years. We have thousands of marriages in that time. We currently have a tour in ***** now with many men there meeting the wonderful women who are members of the service via the socials and one on one intros. The tour there just a couple months ago has already resulted in two marriages, and it looks like more to come! He stated that everything that is said here is true, although this platform is mainly for negative reviews, there are positive reviews here as well, and hundreds of positive reviews on our site! Most men and women are very satisfied with the service. We have E-mailed the client to resolve this with him and offered to refund the entire balance and simply close his account since, for whatever reason, (which we are still not really sure of), he is unsatisfied with our service.

  It's a scam. 5.95 to read letters, photos are billed at a higher rate. Paid money to set up phone calls, and all I got was crickets. .no response to emails requesting service ..phone messages not responded to ...seems it's bots or paid women ...total and utter scam

  We are sorry that you are not satisfied with the service, however we will do our best to resolve it. I am not sure why you cannot contact our office to discuss the issues you are having. We are open from 8:30 to 5 MST the main phone number is ************, there is a full time staff that will take your calls during that time and resolve any issues, just dial 0 for the operator. We can and do set up phone calls and meetings with women on the site, we do hundreds monthly, if not more. We constantly take groups of men to meet the women on the site via the tours/Socials etc. We will reach out to you and do our best to resolve the issue you are having and if we are unable to do so we will issue a full refund. The delay in getting back to you about the phone call(s) may be that they are trying to reach and set up your call or calls with the woman or women, and that can take several days, as we state on the site. Yes we do charge for the correspondence for several reasons, however the photos are not charged at a higher rate. Again, we will have staff reach out to you and resolve it to your full satisfaction or issue a full refund, since 1995 we have always stood behind our service and of course continue to do so.   I paid some $800.00 total for letters and then a Solo Tour to the office in *************************************. What a disaster! The first lady one of my picks met me for a minute without asking me any questions and then told the office manager to remove her profile from the dating site. I was told there was a second lady but she wanted $30.00 before she would meet me supposedly for transportation but I found out the bus ticket from her town was $2.00. I Refused to meet her. The office manager refused to refund my money. I sent emails to customer service stating although I did meet one person who was not serious about being a member of AFA the second person I did not meet because of unprofessional behavior. I hope AFA does a better job in their office because the Office Manager refused to reimburse my money. I spent some $700.00 in travel expenses in addition to the $550.00 to meet two ladies who were not serious. *********************

  We are sincerely sorry your trip was not more successful. Our staff does their best to assist men and women in meeting. There does appear to be some miscommunication I would like to clarify. The total cost of the 2 introductions was actually $400.00 ($150 one time office fee and $125.00 per intro for a total of $400 for 2 intros). Our staff sent you an E-mail on 2/28 advising they will refund the $150.00 for the one introduction you declined, which they did. If you did not receive it let us know and we will send you a copy of the refund so your bank can look into it, we would never charge for an Intro that you did not want. We treat all men and women with respect and dignity. When meeting a woman outside of the city you are in (************) it is normal for her to not want to take a long bus ride with possibly multiple changes along the way, especially after getting dressed for a date to meet a man for the first time. A $15.00 taxi fare each way is not unreasonable and something most women appreciate, especially meeting for the first time. We are sorry that you were not comfortable with that, and again the fee for the date was already refunded. The woman you did meet was unfortunately upset as to how the meeting went and due to that asked that her profile be removed from our service. We prefer not to go into the details of what she stated to us as her reason, but am happy to discuss with you privately. This does not mean she was or is not serious, but was upset and it is her choice to cancel her membership due to the circumstance. Also according to our records, since you first registered in April of 2023 your correspondence was only $265.55, I am confused as to where the $800.00 came from.Again, we regret that we were unable to do more for you, and make your solo trip more of a success. If you ever decide to go again I would recommend speaking to us in detail about what to expect so that your expectations can be met properly.   I hear what guys are saying about the letters and on site correspondence and I get it. Even if you watch the sites videos, they say "don't be a keyboard *****!" just take the tour. I tried letters, yes I'd say they're expensive, but then I went on the tour and the ladies instantly recognized me from the letters that I wrote back and fourth with. No, not every lady you invite is going to make it to the events, people are busy. But some of them are happy to meet you another time that works better for them, I met many this way. I've been on 2 tours, ********** and ************ ********. I met great friends from some of the other clients there. Just watch the monday webcast on ******* and talk to the guys in the chat. many of them have gone on these tours too. If you're shy, start in **********. *******, the office manager runs a more 'relaxed' operation, but he's quick to help you out with anything! I me and another client had dates and a translator booked to see some hot springs and the tour company we booked with make a mistake and only booked 1 ticket. ******* organized another bus to come just for us 5 and take us there (this was early in the morning mind you). ***** is the manager in ******** and she makes sure you're booked solid with dates. The ladies at the ************ office really make sure that you're having a great time there, one of them even gave me a ride back to the airport herself. My translator and I became great friends and still talk almost a year later. I've spoken with many of the staff in the ******* office too and they're quick to help and genuinely want people to find love. Each tour I've been on, multiple guys got engaged. Sure beats online dating! Just remember that these girls aren't paid actresses, so use your common sense, cause some of them will try to take advantage of you, like they would anywhere. (also, helps to learn the local language, seriously).

  Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences. All too often we are quick to post about negative experiences and not so much about the positive ones. I do agree with you that travelling to meet the women in person is much better and more productive then just writing. I also appreciate your shout out to the staff. They do work very hard to try and help the men and women who use the service and that is especially evident when you use the service to meet the women in person.
