We started discussions with a designer in Nov. of 2020, we were told lead times were 4 to 6 weeks. Even though Engrained was more expensive than others we chose them because, being out of state, we were assured our designer would coordinate the project as needed. We gutted the existing kitchen in Jan. of 2021. Engrained would not order cabinets until the kitchen was demoed and completely ready for the new cabinets and three people measured and remeasured. We finally signed a contract with the designer on Feb. 4, 2021, lead times now grew to 6 to 8 weeks. In mid-April we were not getting our calls returned by the designer we were working with, after contacting the company direct, we found out the designer quit and we were assigned another designer, bad enough, but after looking over what she ordered he found it all screwed up, it's now 8 to 9 weeks...we should be done and NO kitchen at all. Totally fed up with them by now, the owner reached out to me and expressed his understanding of our frustrations with our project, however would not let me out of the contract I signed.So now we are working with the new designer who got things back on track except the time line, now we are ordering new cabinets in April. Finally got cabinets in Mid-June; that means countertops finally installed in Aug., finally a usable kitchen! The punch list was completed on Oct. 5, that's only 8 months or something like 33 or 34 weeks...but who's counting?Like most places it's all about the person you get, ask for *******. However, that will not help with the major flaw with Engrained cabinets...they will not order the cabinets until the existing cabinets are gone, they must not be familiar with "fillers". Their install people have to have every piece pre-cut and are not cabinet craftsmen, only installers.If time is of no concern, go ahead and take a chance.
