    On May 21,2023 my fiance and i were on the **** for a vehicle and fast! We had just had an accident two days prior that left ** without a vehicle. We had talked to Guy the general manager of **************** explaining our situation, needing to leave with something today. *** assured us that would be no problem and they had a few vehicles on the lot in that range. After gathering all of our credit application information ****, the finance manager, called me into his office after getting offers back from the ******************** had insisted that a warranty and gap insurance needed to be added to the deal because the bank approved me for a specific amount and by adding those two options were the only way for the deal to be approved. I, thinking that the bank requested the additional warranty and gap coverage as a liability for low credit and low down payment, i agreed to it knowing it was adding ***** more to the financing price. Two days after completing all of the paperwork, i had received my account activation for the financing bank, ************** Services. Having to call and verify information to create an account, a GLS employee had confirmed with me that all warranty and gap coverage was optional and not needed. So i call **** back and explain that i would like the warrantys off as they are optional and he NOW said he had to leave it on there because thats the only way for his team to make a profit and saying if i was not happy to just take the car back. Since then, GLS has contacted me 5 times to get all required documents for the account which was provided to the dealership such as paystubs, proof of residency, deposit receipt, etc. and has pushed the contract back to the dealership for incomplete files. Knowing that the contract is back and can be adjusted I called **** and asked them to take the warrantys off and was yelled at to just bring the car back and leave with nothing. I am submitting this form on June 6, with a still incomplete file/ contract with Lamb Nissian for my financing bank and no real answer as to why OPTIONAL warrantys can not be taken off as the contract has be reopened.
