    February 17, 2024 My daughter did her due diligence and researched the Volkswagen Atlas Crossover w/ technology she found the one she thought she wanted at Chapman Volkswagen in Scottsdale,**. Sophomore at *** started her first professional job. All things were looking up in her world until. She bought this car. Day #1 car drove well for 45 minutes from the dealership back to her apartment. Day #2 truth prevailed car drove seemingly well but many safety alarms began chiming unprovoked. Car (1) returned to dealership on Day #3 allegedly diagnostics found no problem. She drove maybe 5 days and again safety alarms chiming (SOS and brake malfunctioning). Car (2) returned to dealership again diagnostic would be conducted again therefore car kept over night. Second disappointment prevailed keeping the car overnight left her without transportation. Chapman could not give her a loaner because she's under the age 21. Chapman finagled a rental from Enterprise for one day. Next day car returned again nothing found "no problem found and nothing fixed". She drove nearly 5 days and again the alarms began chiming.Sickening, a brand new vehicle purchased with only 35 miles having what seems to be an electrical problem. Car (3) returned to dealership on March 7th and has been in their possession since. Grateful they're seriously looking into repairing the safety hazard of this vehicle but now she has no transportation. Dealership can not find a way to compensate. Therefore she has been forced to Uber and **** to work and school and have groceries delivered. She has no family in *******. She has spend at least $450 on ride shares and is still expected to make her first car payment. I've reached out to Volkswagen customer service and unbeknownst to me you can not exchange a defective car within 30 days. You can only submit a request to buy back and that can take up to 60 days to review. Volkswagen is unfair and unjust.*********************

    Chapman Volkswagen of Scottsdale Response

    In regards to this complaint,************************** did purchase a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport on February 17th 2024 from our Chapman Volkswagen location in Scottsdale. Shortly after that purchase, ******************** started experiencing concerns with multiple dash alerts appearing. Dash alerts related to front assist and lane assist.Upon inspection, we found multiple faults regarding the lane assist and the front sensor for drivers assist. Due to these faults being present, we reached out to Volkswagen technical support for direction on repairs. Repairs were completed but unfortunately, ******************* returned with the same concerns a short time after.Again, in reaching out to Volkswagen of Americas technical assistance we were instructed by the manufacture to follow their specific steps and processes for that repair. At this point, we know that ******************* vehicle has been in our shop for over 20 days. ******************* had reached out to Volkswagen of ******* for resolution but did not feel that there was a sense of urgency in getting to a resolution that was satisfactory. We here at Chapman Volkswagen became proactive and decided to trade her out of that vehicle and get her into a new 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport. ******************* came in on March 28th and signed new paperwork and took delivery of her new Atlas Cross Sport. Staff has since followed up with her and she is very happy with the resolution that Chapman Volkswagen provided. We feel that this matter has been addressed and that ******************* is happy with the outcome.Thank you,*************************** Customer Relations Manager **********************
