During a routine oil change at ********************* Right Honda on 2.8.24, I encountered unexpected complications. While waiting for service, a representative inquired about the previous oil change provider, Sun Devil Auto in **************, to which I responded affirmatively. The representative then claimed that Sun Devil Auto had overtightened the oil pan bolt during the last service, causing damage to the threading in the oil pan.Of concern is the lack of consultation by Honda prior to removing the bolt, especially given the absence of any previous indications of issues with the oil pan since the last service in November 2023. Notably, there were no signs of oil leakage from the oil pan prior to Honda's intervention. Unfortunately, this intervention rendered my vehicle undrivable due to the complete drainage of oil, leaving me with no choice but to pay for the oil pan replacement to make the car operable again.Despite inquiries, Honda provided no alternative solutions. Furthermore, documents from the previous oil change at Sun Devil Auto did not mention any issues with the oil pan, reinforcing my belief that the problem arose subsequent to Honda's involvement. I believe I should not be held responsible for the charges, as the issue was not present before the service provided by ********************* Right Honda.The estimate provided by Honda for the necessary repairs, totaling $308.39 for oil pan parts and $466.61 for labor, is deemed exorbitant. Coupled with the inconvenience caused by the situation, I am dissatisfied with the service provided by ********************* Right Honda. I am requesting a refund for the charges incurred as a result of the damage caused to my vehicle. It is expected that ********************* Right Honda will promptly refund the charges in question.Unable to attach Sun Devil Auto receipt indicating no issues with my oil pan at most recent oil change prior to 2.8.24 oil change at Right Honda.
