On 07/20/2023,during the consultation with bath fitter, I was told and given a card stating that the person who refer bath fitter would be given a referral fee. $25. dollar credit card for the consultation and $100. credit card for installation. The person that made the referral is a single mother that I felt would be able to use these credit cards. I learned that these card were never received.I contacted bath fitters on three occasions, at the last one I spoke with the manager, *******************, who I believe indicated the referral would be sent. None has been received.I believe bath fitter was not honest and misrepresented offering a referral fee that they did not intend to pay. Also, that the fee should be sent to the person referring them. The above was to remove tub and replace with a walk in shower in guest bath room.Business Response

On May 24, 2023, I had a visit from a salesperson representing Bath Fitter to measure my bathtub and, after our discussion, I entrusted them with a deposit totaling $183. However, since that day, I have not received any communication or updates from the company regarding the progress of my order.Despite my attempts to reach out through their website's complaint platform, multiple phone calls, texts, and emails directed at the salesperson, I have not received a single response from them. This lack of communication has left me feeling frustrated and concerned about the status of my deposit and the services I paid for.As a consumer, it is disheartening to experience such disregard for customers, and this unfortunate situation has led me to lose confidence in doing business with Bath Fitter. Therefore, I must firmly request a prompt refund of my $183 deposit. I believe it is only fair and reasonable, given the lack of service and communication I have encountered thus far.I truly hope this matter can be resolved promptly, as it is not my intention to prolong the situation or escalate the issue further. My preference is simply to receive my refund and move on from this disappointing experience.I kindly request that you process my refund as soon as possible, and I will be grateful for any assistance you can provide in resolving this matter promptly. Thank you for your attention to this issue, and I hope that we can reach a satisfactory resolution in a timely manner.Business Response

Today I had a bath to shower conversion completed. It was very unprofessional in its completion. There are areas where there are gaps between the shower walls and wall. There is an area where a crack was glued over. It is not water tight and there is glue that is sticky.Business Response

On Sept 27, 2021 we contracted with Bath Fitters to replace our two upstairs guest room tubs. One tub was $5567 and the second was $5532. The tubs were to be installed in one day when the liners were ready but it turned into a multi day project in late November due to their staffing issues and employee error when installing the second tub. On August 14, 2022 the tub in bathroom 1 was used for the first time for a bath and began to leak through the floor, into the ceiling and walls downstairs. Bath Fitters came out and acknowledged that the drain was incorrectly installed and was the wrong size. They corrected this and then directed us to file with our homeowners insurance for the damage, stating that they would pay the deductible and would discuss compensatory damages for the loss of our kitchen for months along with the upheaval in the home the construction caused. The work was completed through the insurance and we have not heard back from Bath Fitters to settle this with us since early October. Emails have gone unanswered and no one from the corporate team has ever reached out. State Farm, our insurer, is attempting to subjugate the claim and has begun this process but we believed Bath Fitters would do the right thing and return our money in a timely manner. Their lack of response in the last month leads me to believe that we will need to initiate action against them. We are seeking a refund of our insurance deductible ($3360), the cost for an independent plumber to ensure the installation was now sound ($750) and a refund of money paid for the defectively installed tubs as we do not believe that they fulfilled their contractual or ethical responsibility as contractors. We have additional pictures from the contractors and remediation specialists if needed, beyond what I'm attaching here.
