Upon recruitment to 72 sold I was told there would be tons of marketing/commercials beginning Sept. 1st in my area. We have a 10 day period in which we are eligible for refunds if we do not like the program. After my trial period expiration I then am told that the marketing will not be as promised. No commercials even aired on that date. Furthermore, the couple of leads that did happen to trickle in were not distributed evenly. I did not receive a single lead vs. another agent receiving 2! This was blatant false advertisement and a complete waste of my time and money. I contacted support who cancelled my subscription but upon asking for a refund was just told I was out of luck the 10 days have passed with no other response. This is unacceptable.Business response

We apologize for the confusion but according to our records, you never enrolled in our lead generation program, just the monthly training which you did receive, and which does have the 10-day cancellation policy associated with it.
Unfortunately, we cannot issue a refund on fees that were not paid for services not rendered within our ad fund/lead generation program. If you would like to speak with us further on this, please reach out to ******************************* and we would be happy to provide any additional information you would like to help clarify this situation further.Customer response

Hi! My issue with your company was already graciously resolved but your statement was inaccurate so that needs to be addressed. I absolutely was enrolled in your lead generation program here in ********. The zip codes were purchased by a man named **************** and were being distributed to agents based on location. Furthermore I did received my full refund. So whoever is responding to these complaints needs to do further research before responding. Because brushing my concern off like you just did got the last person fired and is a bad look for your program. Thank you.Business response

On April 15, 2023 I went through 72Solds process for account cancellation. I figured it was all done, I removed my card from the site and asked them to disconnect my account. I was going through my bank statements this morning and found that they have been charging me $***** a month since then. There is no clear way on the website to cancel these new charges and it feels dishonest to not make this clear. I cancelled a subscription that was $1500.00 why when cancelling does a new subscription come in for *****.Business response

Thank you for reaching out on this matter, and we are happy to help resolve it for you. We do see that you joined in Dec, 2022 with your first membership dues not being charged until Feb. Unfortunately, no charges went through for your membership for 3 months (Feb-April) creating a past due balance for those 3 months.
We also see your cancellation on April 16th to take effect on May 1st. However, you were then charged 5 months (May-Sept). We are in agreement that you should receive a refund for 2 months of membership dues which would then bring your account balance to current. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
In regard to lead distribution, agents are placed into a round ***** based on the amount he/she spent for a given area. If someone contributed more than someone else (and assuming they both signed up for the same area) that person would then get more referrals in a given month than someone else that contributed less. Our weighted round ***** is a fair process to ensure those who with more money contributed to the ad fund receive more referrals than those that have contributed less.We can confirm that as of this communication, our finance department has already issued the $144 refund for the two months you were charged incorrectly. We hope this additional clarification and ************ has settled this complaint fairly and to your satisfaction.

Thank you for signing up and enrolling in our program.Agent Name: ******************************* Agent Email: *********************************** ************: ********** Brokerage: ********************************************************* Description: Initial Training Transaction Date: 10/25/2022 @ 9:27 AM Amount: $199.00 And the monthly fees are $72 a month. With this I was supposed to get leads for buyers. I haven't received 1 lead at all!I contacted them on April 4th 2023, requesting to cancel and for them to reimburse me for the payment that they just took out for April 3, 2023. They sent me this email.72SOLD <****************************************>Mon, Apr 3, 1:07?PM to me, 72SOLD Hi ******************************* will be able to assist you with canceling your membership. Please give them some time to respond as they are inundated with requests at the moment for ad fund contributions. Should you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact ********************************* They didn't contact me again till the end of April stating no they won't refund me and they will cancel my membership, and they even sent me a survey of why I'm canceling. Well, the issue is, they've charged me again May 12, 2023. I talked with my bank and I will have to close out my checking account for the payments to stop since 72 SOLD is not honoring canceling my membership which did nothing for my *********** business at all. This is unacceptable especially when ***************************** *********** sponsors this company!Business response

******************,
It appears you did not read through the documentation you signed upon enrolling in our program. As indicated in your provided documentation, you enrolled in our training program with your initial payment of $199. Per the email confirmation you were provided (and attached to your complaint), this program is billed at $72/month and includes training videos, marketing videos, presentation brochures and print materials, weekly national team calls, weekly updates, private coaching and "first opportunity to be a part of our national media launch (scheduled for Q1 2023)" (which you never opted into). You received all of the promised items for the full duration of your membership with 72SOLD. If needed, we are happy to provide documentation to that effect.
You never enrolled in the national media launch (which would have provided you with an opportunity to service our seller referrals), so you were never billed for this nor would you have received any seller referrals that were part of this secondary program. We do not, nor have we ever marketed to buyers so we are not understanding why you were ever anticipating receiving buyer referrals as part of any of our programs.
We can confirm that your account was cancelled on May 15th and you were refunded the erroneous extra charge for the month you cancelled.

They sold me a service claiming to provide real estate leads that are double-vetted and ready to sell. Once I signed up, I discovered that the marketing they require of me would violate the ***** ********************** advertising rules. I refuse to put my license at risk by doing so. The ********************** told me that I can only co-brand the marketing materials "where allowed". The **** rules say I must on any marketing materials. The quality of the leads is also an issue. They claimed the leads were double vetted yet some of the info is fake. Other leads provided were just other *********** agents inquiring about the program. I paid $200 for access to this program I can't use and $1500 for leads that are garbage. I asked for my money back and they denied.Business response

You appear to be very misinformed and have made several inaccurate statements. We are a home selling program. Our program in no way violates any ***** real estate commission advertising rules. In fact, *********************, the founder of your brokerage, has personally endorsed our program and he lives and works in *****. He continues to tout our program as one of the best, most innovative home selling programs in the country. You are welcome to reach out to him directly if you have questions on this point.
We make every effort to answer home sellers requests to learn more about our better way to sell homes. We cannot guarantee that every home seller that reaches out to us will always enter the correct information but we make every possible effort to connect them with an agent trained and certified to offer our home selling program to respond to their inquiries.
Our training program has also been personally endorsed by *********************. Since joining our program in November of 2022, you received opportunity to participate in three two-hour training sessions a week, received weekly training emails with actionable marketing content, received access to over 100 hours of training materials in our training portal, received access to all of our professionally produced marketing materials and video content to be able to use in your own business and were connected with a personal coach to further assist you in serving home sellers to the highest level. If you did not avail yourself to any of these resources, that is not and should not be a reflection on the value of our products or company.
We feel very proud of the quality of training and materials you have received and stand confidently behind the value we have provided you. We ask that this complaint be removed as it is neither a fair nor an accurate account of your experience or our company.
