PT 2 Since I visited AZ in February, when this event occurred, I have moved to AZ full-time, so I returned to the hospital to discuss my dispute and to receive a copy of my bill. I believe this was in early July. While there, I was told that they ran my blood during my visit in February and they could provide me with the results. This was the first time that I had heard anything about them running my bloodwork. Of course, now it is several months later and the results are of no use to me at this point. I can say with absolute certainty that there were no bloodwork results given to me in person, over the phone, via text or email. Nothing. I had no idea about these results until my more recent visit to the hospital. But, because the doctor wrote in his paperwork that he discussed the results with me, I am being charged for results that I never received. I will gladly pay the costs involved for the physical act of drawing my blood, but I don't think it is appropriate that I pay for lab results that I never received, nor even knew existed. It may be noteworthy to add that there was a commotion in the ER right before I arrived that day and at least one person had to be removed from the premises. As I like to give the benefit of the doubt, perhaps this was why the doctor could have been a bit frazzled and confused while I was there, resulting in this error. If I may please add, I am an upstanding citizen. I have never been arrested or accused of a crime, I do not use drugs and alcohol, I have an excellent credit score and history and I have no outstanding debt, other than this. I certainly don't have it in me to attempt to scam a hospital or skirt my debts. If this were a legitimate bill, I would have no issues paying it. As I've exhausted all of my options with the billing department at the hospital, I came here looking for any help that you could possibly offer to relieve me of the costs for this lab work. The amount of the bill is $982.80. Thank you so much.

PT 1 On February 4th, 2023, I was visiting Arizona and I sought treatment at the ER of Canyon Vista Medical Center in Sierra Vista. I was there with a suspicion that I may have had a blood clot in my leg. I knew the usual test for this, as I'm familiar with the condition. I was urged by the medical staff to do a blood draw and an x-ray, which I was inclined to deny because I was aware that my insurance was not valid in AZ and that I would be paying out of pocket. I was told that the bloodwork would show a blood clot, so I reluctantly agreed. (For the record, after the test was taken, I would be told the opposite by a different provider in the hospital, that this bloodwork would show nothing.) I then waited to see the doctor. He came in to see me very briefly. We didn't have much to say to one another and he didn't seem interested in my case. It was during that brief moment that I declined the ultrasound that I had originally wanted and decided to leave AMA. As I was walking out of the ER, with my boyfriend who was with me during most of this, I stopped at an office, which I believe was a billing office. In the office were two ladies. I told them what had occurred and that I was leaving AMA. I stressed to them that I was paying out of pocket and I did not want my bloodwork sent to lab. They had assured me that because I was leaving so soon AMA, my blood would not be tested and would be properly disposed of. They said it was as if it were standard procedure, so I thanked them and I left without worrying about it again. Fast forward and I received my bill from the hospital. To my surprise, included on the bill were charges for the bloodwork. I contacted the billing department to dispute the costs involved. After many steps were taken, my dispute was brought all the way up to the CFO, who dismissed my claim. Their reason for doing so is that "the ER doctor had gone over the bloodwork results with me at the hospital." This is 100% completely false. PLEASE SEE PT 2

I had an MRI in March, 2023. Canyon Vista has a policy which allows you to receive a 20% discount if you pay at time of service. They were unable to provide me an amount to pay, so I received a phone approval to bring the bill when it arrived to the hospital and to receive the discount. I paid in full, minus the discount, as the person who was there GAVE me the discount. Now they are attempting to harass me into giving them the rest of the amount and have sent me to collections, despite the fact that I contacted them on May 29, 2023 to ensure they had fixed the computer error. I was assured they would fix the error. I contacted them again on July 13, 2023, because I received a "final" bill. They told me at that time that my bill was "in review" and that they would call me with their decision, though, as I pointed out it was their mistake and I do not owe this money. I have interacted with them fairly and expected them to uphold their policy. They have not. As a medical company, they have far too much power--and I need help to resolve this issue.

Patient: ****** ******** **** ****** Currently in Room **** Stroke Victim Absolutely horrible. My wife had a stroke and her care so far has been borderline incompetent. Some examples.... Wife and I started this nightmare in the emergency room. Wife cannot walk because of stroke. Wife has to go to restroom, pushes call button and nurse tells my wife through the speaker to DISCONNECT HERSELF!! and walk to the restroom. This happened 3 times in the Emergency Room. When she was finally admitted into regular hospital it was discovered that she was not given any of her ordered medication by the nurses in the emergency room ordered by emergency room doctor the entire time she was in the emergency room. Once admitted to the second floor the problems continue... Nobody answers the call button, they forget to feed her, they have left her sitting in her urine drenched bed for hours. The list goes on and on. You try to complain nothing happens you call the phones numbers provided to report issues and nobody answers. You leave messages that are never returned. I plan on contacting the BBB, also the governing body that is in charge of nursing in Arizona, even considering contacting the media to run a story on the absolutely horrible care received in this hospital.

Dates of service: 04/2021. During covid I had to get some radiology done here. Would you believe they had no pre authorization up when I had my wrist band on. So I had to go back a second time, 2 weeks later. I found out that in the past, billing had been sent to collections over a $25 charge. The admission people are inadequate for the volume and quality of service they are lacking. I saw the reviews and needed clarification. I needed my charts over the holidays. I left a voicemail with ******. My neighbor works in admissions and tagged my chart with her name on it and called the Police to file a false pretense Harrassment Order on me. It contained when I inquired about a remote position, the others informed about when the neighbor made some offensive comments outside my home. She intruded upon my video cam and wrote a fictitious report. I had a health issue and couldn't get to the door. My cat already PTSD freaked out. And this is an employee only seeking revenge over whatever was ailing her. I never speak, write, or call these people. Now they are going to be up s--- alley if they thing they can take advantage of me because I am a Senior, and disabled. This is how she gets attention. By doing bad things, then gossiping to her Boss, the HR Supervisor there, as they are on Facebook together, and friends. They have promoted no one from my age, disability, or beliefs that cares about people like experience has shown me. I never got an apology when I was left in the hallway there in 2018 for 2 1/2 plus hours. I never have been treated so miserably by a hospital, ever!!! I used to work in Healthcare and have Hipaa training. These people are so lame and abusive that I want them prosecuted for releasing my personal information and private health information to this person.

Service date was 10/21/22 for surgery, bill was finalized with insurance company on 11/21/22. Canyon Vista sent me to collections as of 12/6/22. I have yet to receive the first bill. When speaking w/the collector on/or around 12/6/22, the reason given why I was sent to collections is that Canyon Vista did not collect the coinsurance the date of surgery. That is no my fault, that is an error on the hospital's part. I was advised I needed to pay an amount of $3260.73 w/in 30 days. Really? This is bad practice on Canyon Vista's part.
