Some of the most rude employees Ive ever encountered as a veteran. Ive had to call several different people at truwest to show proof of insurance and they make backhanded comments, and even when I asked for clarification on how much Id be paying monthly the worker made an extremely rude comment.Truwest Credit Union

I had a personal and business account with ********************** for several years a little while ago. I had no real problems with them until my purse got stolen which had my debit cards and ID in it. I informed Truwest within an hour of the theft for them to cancel my cards. About a week later I logged into my account online and was surprised to see it was overdrawn by $10,000 and $2,000 had been withdrawn in cash from my business account. Apparently the thieves went to multiple branches in the drive thru and cashed fake checks and were also allowed to withdraw the $2,000 in cash from my business account. Then their fraud investigator contacted me and basically accused me of committing all these crimes. They refused to credit the $2,000 back for 90 days and kept sending me collection letters for the $10,000 from my personal account. Anyone I tried to discuss the issue with at the bank had incredibly terrible attitudes towards me and treated me like a criminal instead of being helpful in anyway. Their fraud department is a joke because when the suspicious activity started happening with my account they should have caught it as they were already aware my cards were stolen. But they just handed out $12,000 to thieves then blamed me for it. Thankfully the police detective on the case was competent and cleared me of any wrong doing. I will never do business nor recommend anyone to do business with TruWest again.Truwest Credit Union

My mother passed away. The beneficiary on her account was listed as "All My Children." I made the mistake of letting them know she passed away and requested to close the account and distribute the funds to my brother and me. I thought I was doing the right thing by letting them know she had a Will and I would be happy to send it to them along with the death certificate. They are refusing to honor her beneficiary and Will, by stating that since they know she has a Will they aren't able to "interpret" a Will and that we essentially need to go to Probate or have the ************************* certify us as Personal Representatives. They don't seem to care that neither of live in ******* and that's it is a royal pain to take time off work and spend a week going back and forth to the court house to file paperwork. Had I known I would have to spend countless hours filing out legal paperwork, I would have logged into her account and transferred the funds and zero'ed her account prior to notifying them of her death. Absolutely the worst customer service and the most obnoxious legal team ever. No compassion. No service. DO NOT USE THEM.Truwest Credit Union

This is the most inflexible bank I have ever worked with. The communication and customer service is awful. If you can avoid having an account with them, I would strongly advise that. I am grateful that my accounts with them are now closed. I'm just trying to help anybody else in the future to avoid the same hassles I've experienced.Truwest Credit Union

My wife and I have been with Truwest for a Little over two years now. They added ************* to our note on one of the cars jumping up the loan amount $6,500 dollars. When we showed prove that we have insurance and even our insurance wrote into them, they said we see everything is there but theres nothing we can do about. So now we will have a lot of negative equity and also missed payments showing on our credit because of this. ******** company to deal with.Truwest Credit Union

1 starF grade, very poor customer relations. I have an Auto Loan, changed insurance, and promptly received a nasty, threatening letter accusing me of violating our contract by cancelling mandated insurance and threatening to take out insurance on the car. When I followed the directions and logged into the website, myinsuranceinfo.com I found that indeed my insurance agent had already supplied the full info required. What I found offensive was the letter in no way accommodates or allows for the possibility that I simply changed insurance, did nothing wrong, and was still in full compliance with the terms of our contract, giving the customer the benefit of the doubt. I called and spoke to a CS supervisor to give feedback saying they really need to edit and rewrite the language of the letter to allow for that possibility of having simply changed insurance.
