Business Name: Gator Method (also linked with ******** and affiliated with **** *****/SubTo)I am filing this complaint to report serious misrepresentation and lack of transparency regarding a transaction I did not consent to. In January 2025, I communicated with the Gator Method team via phone and email about potentially enrolling in their program. However, I never accessed or completed an enrollment through WHOP.comthe platform they use for registration.I never received, clicked or accessed the ******** enrollment link, which they claim was sent via text. According to an email from the Gator Team, the link was sent via text from *************). I researched and discovered that the number is not publicly associated with Gator Method or ******** and has been flagged online as suspicious and linked to scam reports.I have consistently requested metadata or verifiable proof showing that I accessed the site, created an account, and completed a checkoutnone of which I did. I have repeatedly requested technical login metadata from Gator Method/********. Specifically: IP address used to enroll, browser/user agent and device type, exact timestamps of activity, login authentication and confirmation steps, and proof of user consent or enrollment ********** date, none of this has been provided by the merchant. This raises serious concerns about internal misconduct or misrepresentation by the Gator Method team. Instead, Gator Method continues to insist that I enrolled myself, offering no concrete evidence beyond internal timestamps. No disclosures or terms related to ******** were ever provided.I am seeking the following resolution: Full cancellation of this unauthorized enrollment. Removal of any financial obligation tied to this transaction. A formal written statement from the business clarifying their records and acknowledging the concerns raised.Note: Due to dispute, my membership has been canceled and lastly, account suspended indefinitely.Business Response

Dear ********,
Thank you again for your patience while we carefully reviewed your case.
After a thorough review of all communication records and enrollment activity, we recognize that there were legitimate concerns around your registration experience specifically regarding contract execution and the clarity of key steps in the process. While our team did engage with you before and after your enrollment to address your questions, particularly around your comfort with being recorded, we have confirmed that the ******** contract was ultimately not fully signed.
Given these circumstances, and rightfully so, we will be processing a full refund based on your specific situation. We want to emphasize that this decision reflects our commitment to doing whats fair and appropriate for our members, especially when expectations around consent and clarity are not fully met.
You will receive a confirmation once the refund has been issued, and all financial obligations associated with your enrollment will be canceled accordingly.
We appreciate your feedback and take it seriously. Your experience is helping us improve how we communicate key steps in the enrollment process and ensure that every participant feels fully informed and secure in their decision to join.
If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please dont hesitate to reach out.Customer Answer

Better Business Bureau:
While I appreciate the refund that was finally issued, I must reiterate that my original complaint was based on a $2,997 unauthorized and unknown charge that I did not approve or initiate. The response from Gator Method avoids addressing this key issue and instead frames the resolution solely around the contract not being fully signed.I never clicked the enrollment link, never initiated the transaction, and never gave consent for a loan to be processed through Affirm. Yet, a loan was created in my name and I was billed, which caused significant stress and forced me to dispute the matter multiple times with Affirm and the merchant.
Despite submitting proof to Affirm that I never signed the agreement, ****** originally ruled in favor of the merchant based on their claims. However, Gator Method was unable to provide metadata, IP logs, or any definitive proof that I actually clicked, enrolled, or authorized the transaction. That evidence never came because it doesnt exist.
The refund was issued not because they acknowledged the charge was unauthorized or fraudulent, but because the contract wasnt signed. This is an important distinction, and consumers should be aware that a transaction of this size was processed without valid consent, authentication, or confirmation from me.
This situation should have been resolved much earlier. I am relieved the refund was finally issued, but I remain deeply concerned about how easily this transaction occurred and how difficult it was to have it reversed. I hope the business improves its safeguards and takes accountability more seriously going forward.
Regards,
******** *********

I joined a community to partner with this companys other company ***** Method to create another income stream. I paid half of the total cost to get started. But, I found out within the first 5 days, that it is a conflict of interest with my current business licenses held. I spoke to someone that said it was possible within 14 days to get a refund. I emailed about my concerns as well. I was then told no refunds after 72 hrs. I begged them to refund because there was no way for me to participate in this business opportunity, because it would be out of compliance and I could get in serious trouble. I had not began training or utilized any of their resources. It was only a few days beyond their so-called timeframe that is not made visible or was mentioned in the webinar, overview or sign up page. I advised them I would not be able to utilize them for the foreseeable future, and I wanted to cancel-not just pause my account. They are still refusing to be fair and reasonable. I never signed a form to complete agreement. And nothing I have in email or portal states this refund policy.Business Response

I watched a webinar promoting The Gator Method presented by **** ***** (*************) on or about August 3, 2024. The basic premise of his Webinar was about wholesaling. He claimed that anyone whos wholesaling needs ******* money and he had the answer on how to provide that. After I discovered the program was $3,000, I decided not to move forward due to not having the money. On August 5th, I received a text from someone named ****** asking if I had any questions about the Webinar. I told him I didnt have the money and didnt want to waste his time. On August 8th I heard from ****** again and this time he had a payment offer through a 3rd party company of approximately $300 per month. I signed up and after watching the first video from *****************, I decided this wasnt for me. I also called three separate title companies to verify what ******************* said in his webinar about it being illegal to not have ******* money for a wholesale transaction. All the senior agents told me that was false and it just depends on how the contract was written up. I reached out to my advisor ******* ***** from ***************** only to be told he couldnt take a phone call. I eventually was able to get ****** to call but he wouldnt honor my request to cancel. I explained it wasnt for me and that nobody notified me that a company called Prime wound be requesting another $500 to set up an LLC. I also sent several emails to support and they said they would get back to me in a certain time frame but that didnt happen. Ive written several different people from the email address I have but it feels like they are ghosting/avoiding me hoping Ill go away. Id just like them to call Affirm to cancel and refund my money!Business Response

I signed up for the SubTo mentor program on a month to month payment plan I paid for two months march $900 & april $900. I was never informed that the money was non refundable. I also was never informed that a student has to be in a program for 6 months to get assistance from people with more experience until I read a ******** post. . After I made my purchase I was provided login information to access videos to watch which was my first problem because I could have just looked up their videos up on ******* for free. Also they do free live ******* videos. My first call I received from the advisor was not in depth and we didnt go over anything that was the second problem. After a week I reached out to the person that enrolled me I asked could I be refunded for march and ***** he stated they couldnt. I said we are still in march if march cant be refunded can you at least refund April I no longer want to be in the program and the answer was still no. After I reached out about the refund I have not been contacted by anyone and I signed up for a mentorship at least thats what I thought I was signing up for but I feel I paid my money & was on my own & received nothing. I paid $1800 & I didnt receive any value. I did have buyers remorse to be fair but as time past I literally received no calls from anyone. Im $1800 short and I have not benefitted in anyway. My expectation was to be mentored , to have someone help walk me through the process and work with me to get my first deal. Ive seen other programs and the person in charge actually reaches out directly to mentees that was not the case for this I really want my money back and this has nothing to do with buyers remorse anymore and everything to do with I paid $1800 and the program was not beneficial to me.Business Response

Thank you for your honest feedback. We strive to provide clear communication and support to all our members, and it is unfortunate to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. While our videos are designed to provide valuable content, we acknowledge your concern about their availability on free platforms. However, the importance of joining our mentorship outside of the free online material you see is being a part of the community. It appears as well that we had an *** reach out to you to assist in the program. Beyond the support our program provides, the community of members, industry experts, accountability leaders are available to you and can assist you with any obstacles you run into. In this industry we heavily focus on going beyond the content and investing in the networking opportunities provided and the SubTo community is very interactive and very supportive despite your experience! In order to be successful in this program, communication is key and it appears it lacked on both sides. To ensure you get the support you need, we think that re-enrolling you within the *** program with a new advisor would be hugely beneficial to you when continuing your SubTo Journey. If you are interested in that, please contact our team ********************************** and we would love to get you set up!Customer Answer

I dont have the money anymore to re-enroll. I enrolled once already and was not satisfied with the results. I would like a refund. No one stayed in contact with me once I was signed up for the program. I was literally left on my own after paying $1800. I signed up in march for march & April and I paid $900 for each month before April came in I called and told my director of enrollment I would like to be refunded for the month of April because Im no longer interested and was still told I could not get my money back. I was never told the money was non refundable. To keep my money when the ball was dropped is another reason why I would not want to re enroll.Business Response

Ok for my complaints against SubTo they have been resolved.Customer Answer

Hi I recently file a complaint against this business. In my original complaint I filed for a refund for the $1800 back. The business offered to refund only $900 back I did originally say ok to that because I was not trying to be problematic but I have had time to think about it and I dont think that is acceptable. I did not gain any value from the $1800 I paid the business that I had to work hard for. I reached out to someone from SubTo before coming back to file this complaint but they have not responded. All I ask is for all of my money to be refunded. That was my original request as well. When I was enrolled I was never told I was limited on what I could get help with. I set the expectations of what I wanted and during that time my enrollment *** did not say hey well because youre paying this amount you wont have the same opportunities as the other people who paid in full but he proceeded to take my $1800 payment knowing things I did not know and that was not fair to me. That was willful omission. The resolution I am looking for is the rest of my $900 being refunded.
Desired Resolution:
Refund
