We signed a contract with Icon Power for installation of a solar system. We were deceived by the sales representative over the terms of the contract. Even when questioned about the payments and total costs, he blatantly lied to us. Now we are stuck. We realized now that we should have read the very small print and talked to a lawyer before signing. We trusted them to be honest and we never should have.ICON Power

Hi ********, looks like your system was installed almost two years ago. Although we don't know the details of what was promised and what you're frustrated about, and that sales *** is no longer at Icon, we still do regret that you feel we missed expectations. FWIW, it does look like your system has produced as expected, and avoiding some of the recent and potential future utility rate hikes will certainly provide some benefit.Review fromCatherine G

Just wanted to say that after much consideration we decided to go with solar. After listening to many different solar company's, we found that Icon Power was actually the best fit for our family and our needs. Our salesman *********************** was very informative and helpful with making the transition over so easy. They got my bills down to a very affordable price that we are happy with, which now gives our family more savings to do other things that we wanna do. So, I just wanna say thank you to Icon Power and *********************** one more time and that we are so happy to be apart of the family now.ICON Power

We are very happy with how the installation went. The crew was polite and even caution taped their work area and wore safety harnesses. The process was a 5 star experience compared to the company that installed the solar on our last home.ICON Power

5 starsI looked at 5 firms and Icon Power had the most installations in my neighborhood. More importantly, their warehouse and install crews were right down the street from my house. I was lied to about the tax rebate even though I waited a few months to ensure it was fully refundable since at this time I don't have any tax liability. The system I got is definitely not keeping up with demand even though if I don't put the 18k "tax credit" towards the total cost my payments will go up from 182 a month to 257 a month which is more than my current electric bill. Also they ask for people electric bill to see how much they can charge people nothing has to do with the actual usefulness of the system I'm sorry but 57k is too much for a system if I still have an electric bill most of the time... also I was told I would get my first year free which turns out my sales guy was paying out of his commission then he tried to make me feel guilty and get himself out of that agreement. And then when I didn't agree I got 2 months short of my first year. They showed up for my install late and put in the anchors? But didn't have the panels coz of some mix up at the warehouse so I had to wait even longer.ICON Power

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. Were sorry your experience with Icon Power did not match your expectations. Regarding the tax credit that are offered by the Federal and State governments, these are credits against the Buyers income tax liability. If the homeowner does not have tax liability, then the credits would carry forward to the next year. The information regarding the tax credit is stated very clearly in the purchase agreement and we even have every customer ************ section of the agreement to confirm understanding. After reviewing your system and the production I show that your system is producing quite well. In fact, it has overproduced some months this year than what we proposed. For example, in July we estimated that you would produce around ***** kW and I show that your system produced ***** kW. Then in June, it shows that your system produced ***** kW and we estimated that your system would produce ***** kW. I show in our records there are no notes regarding the first 12 months were going to be covered. The sales representative that you spoke with originally is no longer with the company but if you could provide some documentation of the agreement that you had with him paying the 12 months of the solar payments then we can review this. We are aware of the installation being delayed because the installers arrived on site with missing material. This situation looks like it was addressed with the Branch Manager before and she was able to have a crew back out the next week to finish. We do take our customers concerns and issues seriously and try our best to resolve them. We aren't perfect but we do try our best to correct any mistakes we make and do better the next time.Review fromPJ L

My wife and I decided to go with Icon Power for a Solar and Tesla Power Wall system back in March of 2023. What sold us on the system was several factors:Their positive reviews online.The promise of an app that would keep us up to date on the entire process status.The promise we could monitor the system ourself once fully installed.The promise of a local contact and crew that focused on customer service, along with one vendor for the entire system.The onsite review, and contract for a system sized at 8kwh of power.The entire process was quite fast and took around 3 months. There were several issues along the way that were stressful. Such as:Never receiving the app to track the process.Not receiving invoices, but then getting calls that our payments were late.Poor communication from Icon Power on when they would be doing the work.Not receiving any follow-up when we requested to be contacted.Along with SRP failing to approve the operation of the system on two separate occasions.The system installed is not what we agreed to. Icon Power changed the plans without our knowledge or consent that prevents us from monitoring the system we were promised.The problems only continued to happen after the system was finally approved by SRP. We have not come close to producing the 8kwn of power that we were told to expect. Also, we cannot monitor the system the way we were originally promised. We finally opened a support ticket to get some of the issues resolved. Unfortunately, we didnt hear back on all the open issues.ICON Power

Thank you for taking the time to bring to our attention the issues you have been having. We do understand your frustrations with your experience so far and we take these concerns seriously. Here are some comments regarding some of the issues you brought up.The Icon Power app does have the capability to give you the project stages and information about where your project is at. However, we were not notified that this function was not working in the app so that we could investigate this for you. We understand that you wanted the Tesla Powerwall+, but we are not able to install an Enphase inverter with the Tesla Powerwall+ (the + part is a Tesla inverter so we can't do two types of inverters). The sales representative communicated that we needed to change to a Tesla inverter if you wanted the Tesla Powerwall+. Unfortunately, with ****** app their monitoring does not have the capability to be able to monitor the individual panels production. Regarding your invoices, we did send you an email with the invoices on 3/7/23, 4/4/23, and 5/31/23 to the email address that we have in our records. We also attempted to send documents to be signed on several occasions that you did not electronically sign because you stated that sometimes you do not receive your emails. Our records indicate that on multiple occasions we have tried to communicate with you with updates for your project by sending email communications.After the installation, we emailed you on 4/14/23 to see what day to schedule an inspection.On 4/19/23, we sent the In Lieu of Clearance doc to be electronically signed.We resent the In Lieu of Clearance document again on 4/25/23 because it had not been signed yet.An email was sent on 4/27/23 notifying that SRP was going to go out for commissioning.On 5/3/23 an email was sent to notify that SRP had to go back out because a correction was made On 5/4/23 we emailed to let you know that we would have to make additional corrections with the wiring that SRP was asking for on 5/12/23.On 5/17/23 we sent an email that SRP would be out to commission the system Then SRP granted to have the system turned on 5/26/23. Our records also show that you did reach out to your sales representative on some occasions, and he provided you with an update on the project. There was also contact with multiple people on our operations team that you had direct contact with you as well. On 7/27/23 you contacted us by email with your concerns and we were able to resolve some of your issues in a timely manner. Before your email on 7/27/23 we were not aware of any other issues that you were having because the last contact that we show was in June. In June, we show you spoke with our branch manager, and everything seemed to be taken care of. We are not aware of any support ticket that was opened. We do take your concerns and issues from customers seriously and try our best to resolve them. We can have our operations team look further into your system if you are having any more issues.
