My son who is on disability due to a medical condition has been living in this apartment for a year. I have maids go into his apartment to disinfect each month. This month there was a lot of black mold in the bathroom and some in the bedroom. The bathroom door has rusted hinges due to some sort of moisture. You couldn't move the door open or closed. There is also a broken window in the bedroom that was turned into the manager about 3 months ago and she did not take care of it. Now she is charging us for the broken window. I have attached pictures of the mold the manager says she couldn't see and doesn't exist. They will most likely not take care of it before someone else moves in.Initial Complaint

Hello, My name is *******, and I am a resident at Redondo Tower apartments, recently relocated from a studio on the 9th floor to a one-bedroom on the 6th floor. Since my move in May 2024, I have been dealing with continuous issues with the AC unit, resulting in high electric bills and significant discomfort in my home. Initial Move-In Delay: The day I was scheduled to move in, the AC was not functioning due to “frozen wires,” forcing a delayed move-in. This issue should have been addressed as a priority. Between May and September, the AC failed and required repair at least five times. Each time, it left In June, my first TEP bill was $460, an amount far beyond what I have ever paid in previous homes. I contacted TEP, and they suggested having the AC and meter inspected due to likely malfunction or inefficiency. Despite my repeated requests, these issues were only partially addressed, causing my bills to rise even further. During a crucial month in summer, I was provided with a portable AC unit that could only cool my bedroom. My living space became unbearably hot and muggy, making cooking and basic daily activities impossible in other areas of my home. It was only two weeks ago—well past peak summer—that a new AC unit was finally installed. Financial Hardship: Due to these ongoing issues, I am currently facing a TEP balance of $888, which I am unable to pay on top of rent. I am 25 years old, living alone, and managing multiple responsibilities, including caring for my mother’s health. This unresolved issue has put me in financial distress and has significantly impacted my quality of life. Request: I am formally requesting a rent adjustment or assistance with my utility bill, as the excessive charges and discomfort I have endured are a direct result of ongoing maintenance delays and unresolved AC issues. Addressing the property at Pantano villas my yard gate has been in need of repair for over a year. I have put work orders on it. Three different managers on March 21. I went through the property management Northstar still no results not even a courtesy. Call the office person informed me that it’s a utility gate and doesn’t belong to my rent. When I moved here four years ago, I was shown the yard which I am expected to maintain Was told I could padlock gate If I wanted . it has been padlocked for four years . I go out and take yard debris from huge pine trees in my yard and drop my groceries off. It’s easier to take the gate than drag bags thru apartment and back out the front door I’m 84 years old Oxygen 24 seven Office management promised That would be two weeks and then two weeks goes by and it’s another two weeks and nothing happens. I would appreciate you looking into this matter so the problem could be resolved.Business Response

Northstar Property management is willfully and intentionally refusing to accept payment from me. They refuse to provide the name and contact details of the owner of the building or property management company. If this does not resolve my issue the 2nd complaint will be the AZ STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL. ALL interactions with staff and employees will be tape recorded and videotaped. Company is attempting to EVICT ME FOR NON PAYMENT. THEY REFUSE TO FILL OUT PAPERWORK OR ACCEPT PAYMENT. They are also refusing to pressure wash the parking lot which has broken glass and debris. One of the washing machine and dryers are taking my money and there is no one to call for repairs and the phone number listed does not work. Corporate office refuses to return calls. I am unable to get maintenance requests honored. Parking lot is dirty. Tenants are parking in HANDICAP SPOTS preventing handicap individuals like myself and my disabled guests from parking in those spots. BOTH handicap spaces needs to be repainted and one is missing the sign, the access lines are faded. Entire parking lot needs to be pressure washed. If the parking lot is not pressure washed and handicap spots are not repainted and a proper sign installed I will be filing a complaint with City Code enforcement. Alley also needs to be cleaned due to illegal dumping. I have an excellent payment history and no one will assist me as a disabled tenant. The pool needs to be completely drained refilled and DEEP CLEANED and the PH needs to be corrected after a drunk non resident went to the bathroom in the pool. We have no security company and no video cameras to protect tenants. No one has answered the phone or returned phone calls from NORTHSTAR. 2 TENANTS have had their C converter STOLEN FROM their car. I'm am very unhappy with the treatment from the CORPORATE OFFICE. Every Tenant should be given a written notice if they park in HANDICAP spots w/o a valid handicap sticker they might get towed. I have reported harassment from the person that lives upstairs in 218 many times in the past years with no resolution from management. I was told if the harassment continued the person's lease agreement would not be renewed but that hasn't happened. The management company will not create a resolution to the harassment.
