    On 5/21/2024 I Matt Mata purchased a vehicle and hadn’t been a week when the brake caliper fell off and also it shakes when going 65 or more on the highway. I also took it to brake masters to see and that’s where I found out that the caliper fell off due to missing pi and that should never ever happen. At that point the shop said it was unsafe to drive the vechile. I also then contacted the dealership owner on 5/29/2024 and let them know about the problem. He kept saying drive it and I told him numerous times that it was unsafe and I have texts also. He wanted me to go to uncertified person at a home address and I refused because the car is unsafe. He then said it was a mobile mechanic and I said perfect send him out and he refused to do so. Then he said he can’t do anything for me and hung up. Total lemon car and also highly unsafe and horrible business practice. The tires are also bad and he didn’t care at all to make the problem fixable. He doesn’t care about safety and the well being of others on the roads. So now I have a vechile that I shouldn’t be spending money in less than a week and certainly not before a first payment.     Dear Sir or Madam 
    In response to this complaint, I will share with you that Mr. Mata did not mention the phone calls I made to him from overseas to discuss the issues he mentioned in this complaint. Which makes those texts not complete and not useful in anyway to help him in his case. 
    Secondly, when he mentioned the caliper being loose to me, it was already more than a week of driving the vehicle, which proves that the caliper wasn’t loose when he picked up the car. Furthermore, I never turned him away when I spoke to him, all I asked for was to get car back to us to verify his claims on the car, he kept giving me excuses. 
    I also asked him numerous times what he expected from me to do, even that he did not answer.
    That’s when I told him that we just don’t write checks to anyone without verifying any claims on our vehicles or pay for any repairs not authorized by the dealership. 
    Also Mr. Mata has already bought a vehicle from us before which he was happy with. He also knows that we honor our warranty, he’s more than welcome to bring it in to look at it, we will even get it towed to us if he thinks is not safe to drive, but we’re not writing a check without looking at it.

    I find it hilarious that this so called owner says he was out over seas but that’s a broad lie, not only that my wife was with me and knows about the situation. And also he needs to provide actual paperwork of the vehicle because these mechanical issues should never happen even with it being a used vehicle. He is putting everyone at risk by selling defective and unworthy vehicles. His denial speaks for itself and when him and I exchanged texts which I submitted you can clearly see his refusal to make the situation right, I won’t stop with this until it gets resolved in the appropriate manner that it should be. Also his reviews have more pictures and issues of others with vehicles not being road worthy. If he doesn’t have any issues on making it right then he shouldn’t have a problem with a certified place to do the work and not a backyard mechanic. Also tires need replaced because it shakes and when does anyone to a test drive or know anything in the city? His refusal everytime is clearly shown in the business practice and demeanor of refusing to.

    Attachments are a proof that I was out of the country when he contacted me. Left to Dubai May 29th then to Baku Azerbaijan June 2nd. He contacted me June 1st at 3:50 AM Dubai local time, since it’s 11 hours ahead of Tucson. Still answered him and called him twice. If his claiming that his wife is a witness to me being in Tucson when he contacted me, is nothing but a lie.
    I’ll say this for the last time, we’re not writing a check to anyone, without verifying any issues risen.  Since everyone knows who’s lying now, he’s more than welcome to bring it for us to look at it or he’s on his own.

    Hi there, On the date of 7.22.23, I acquired this 2007 Subaru Impreza Outback sport. I expected the car to have issues, especially after reading reviews, and seeing how customers were being dealt with while I was in the "office". Basic maintenance had never been executed, brakes, filters, oil, windshield wipers. All issues I have easily addressed, and fixed. One problem I found was that the "brake switch" had been disconnected due to it being faulty. When this is disconnected, the brake pedal never sends a signal to the back lights to engage. This can lead to many accidents. Although I fixed this problem, I felt the complete and utter disregard for consumer safety was grotesque. I wasn't going to press this matter further at first, until my temporary plate expired. I contacted the MVD to see what was going on, and to my surprise, they informed me the car hadn't been registered since the dealership acquired it. Meaning, I was never getting a plate because the paperwork had never been completed. I was shocked. I've already spent well over two thousand additional dollars is maintenance, and payments since this time. I now have to rely on my other car to get me around for my job, a car which has issues, hence my purchase of this one. How a company can operate like this baffles me, and has me trusting the BBB less and less. Had I not been able to repair the issues, or had a back up car, I'd be screwed. Most people don't have the knowledge, or wage to afford what I've had to. I've attached statements, proof of purchase, and proof of the 3 day plate, which I've had renew due to my work and the weekend. Thank you for your time, Gabriel M. Villa

    Hello

    I'm kind of surprised about this complaint.  This customer showed up with his mother when they picked up the car, they were so happy with the car and the discount we gave him.  Never heard from him or got any phone calls or emails addressing any concerns he had with the vehicle until this complaint The vehicle was in great shape mechanically except the dent in the back of the lift gate, which we showed him before the sale. How are we supposed to know of any concerns he had if he never contacted us.  I'm really sorry he feels that way about us. Regarding the license plate, i tried contacting him myself to issue him another 30 days permit due to the delay in the paperwork, which is normal sometimes in the business, but never answered.  I'm here to help as much as I can, he has our phone number and email address to contact us.

    On Saturday 07/22/2023 we went to JQ to ask about car financing, we were essentially told to come back with $1,000 and he would be able to help us. Monday 07/24/2023 we returned to file an application with the owner Qahtan Hassan, when the first car didn't "work with the numbers" he insisted that he would just switch cars at his discretion until one did. While we were in his office he bad mouthed other customers, other businesses and went from asking me for $500, to $1,000, to $1,500 within moments - when I asked my husband what he would like to eat for dinner, the owner stated he needed a larger payment to "hold the car" because we were "making him nervous about spending money on dinner." He convinced me to pay $1,000 on my debit card (+3% service fee), without signing my name to the specific vehicle or stating this was a non-refundable deposit or down payment, THEN proceeded to explain information he would need from us that I did not have. I emailed the owner only an hour after leaving his lot to explain and that I would need a refund, he did not respond that night or the entirety of the following day until we showed up at his office again on Tuesday 07/25/2023, he claimed he only "just got" my emails. He tried to convince us to leave the money with him while we figured out our situation and when met with no negotiating, he began lecturing us on a personal level, then insisted he wanted to "help" us - but that this was not a refund and would cost me another 3% service charge, as well as we would have to wait 2-3 days for the money to enter his account in order to transfer it back to us. We came in asking for help during a desperate emergency situation and were greatly taken advantage of by this man, and have now seen years of bad reviews and complaints against him, his company, and the vehicles he sells being dangerous defective products.

    In response to complaint 20379125, we’re shocked here at JQ about this complaint.  We told the customer that we never keep deposits and we were refunding the deposit as soon is posted to the account. All tie talk about the dinner she mentioned, we were have a good time and joking around, now twisted it to her advantage. This problem has been already resolved with customer and the deposit amount was credited to her account.  This complaint is not a legitimate complaint, we’ve been BBB accredited business for 13 years and we’ve always responded and resolved all complaints in timely manner.  That said I request from you to not establish and post this complaint on business profile page.  Can you help with this matter is really appreciated.
