I had booked three separate rooms at the Sheraton ************ on my Marriott points as a gift for family members that were staying in town for my daughter's graduation party. Each room had slightly different arrival and departure dates, but on the night of June 17 the fire alarm went off intermittently and continued to do so for the entire evening and well into the early am hours. None of my family members got any sleep that night. I addressed the situation with the hotel manager after multiple attempts to reach him to try to get my points back for that evening (not for everyone's whole stay). The cost was 84K points, but he offered to give me back 21K instead... this seemed so unreasonable so I contacted ******** corporate who told me it was a decision that needed to be made by the hotel in question, however they'd be willing to give me 30K points as a goodwill gesture. This is ridiculous of course in that I paid for hotel stays for people that go zero sleep (including a family with a baby). All I'm asking for is my 84K points back. Who would pay for a room they couldn't sleep in??? It's the most basic of expectations that if you buy a hotel room, you have the opportunity to have a quiet night!You can see on yelp that there are many others who didn't get money back either. Awful awful service. I'd never use this hotel again.
