My son (***********************) had an auto loan which I had co-signed for. The last transactions made closed the loan thru the original creditor. SOMEHOW they sold the loan before notifying him and the payments were not credited to his original loan. Therefore they claim he was delinquent, which reflected on my credit.I keep seeing this on my credit reports and it is NOT TRUE! I have called them several times and they claim they fixed this on my credit. NOT TRUE!! They did, however, fix this for my son.It has brought my credit down about 100points!!! I have NEVER had a late payment in my entire life and am really upset that they refuse to correct this. I also disputed this thru credit bureaus and it still appears on my credit!The last two dates of dispute are 5/17/21 and 6/16/21. I do not have any account info as this was my son's loan and was paid off!! He did not make late payment either, it was strictly due to the fact the loan when sold during the pay off.WHY WON'T THEY FIX THIS?? THEY ARE HURTING MY CREDIT FOR THEIR OWN MISTAKE!!Initial Complaint

I'm running into similar issues as others that have complained. I purchased a vehicle with gateway one. Upon loan satisfaction I was never sent a title, or lein release letter. I'm selling the vehicle, and need the title. After following up with the Illinois DMV, they are still listed as the lein holder. After attempting to work with santanderusa, they had issues with my records. They want me to find the account number from paperwork that has been closed more than 4 years.Initial Complaint

I purchased a vehicle with gateway one. Upon loan satisfaction I was never sent a title, or lein release letter. I'm selling the vehicle, and need the title. To add to the issue, michigan is an electronic link state, which is still showing a lein on a vehicle that's been paid off for 6 years. I really need help, just getting the run around from everyone involved.Initial Complaint

I had a loan through gateway one lending since ************************************************************************************************* my title for it. I was in an accident a few days ago and they want my title to total it out. And now I can't seem to find anyone with gateway or the company that bought them out. I know its the law that they have to give you your title within 30 days of payoff but never happened. So now I'm in a jam trying to locate my titleInitial Complaint

Payed off vehicle and they never released lien. Santander states they have no record of the loan.(Santander bought gateway one) now I cannot get title for totalled car
