Date of original transaction: May 12, 2023 Amount paid to business: $1019.70 I dropped my car off on May 12, 2023, to have my car fixed. My car check engine light was on and did not pass smog because of the following:P0172 - System too rich bank 1 P0300 - Random/Multiple cylinder misfire detected P0301 - P0303 - Cylinders 1-3 misfire detected P0305 - P0306 - Cylinders 5 & 6 misfire detected A's Auto Repair performed a diagnostic on my car and called me to let me know the cost to repair my car. I agreed over the phone and a week later I received another call stating they needed to repair something else. I agreed for them to do the work. I had my daughter pick up and pay for the services. When I returned home and went to drive my car, the check engine light was still on and the car was only driving three miles. I called A's Auto Repair that Monday and was asked to return the car. I was unable to bring the car back until June 29, 2023. I received a call from one of the employees stating that the problem was something else and that I would need to pay an additional $125 for them to do another diagnostic of the car, stating the check engine light is on for an EVAP leak. I stated that I did not feel like I should pay another $125 for another diagnostic, because when I picked up my car, it had only been driven three miles at the time and the light was back on. I also stated that this should have been detected with the first diagnostic test. I also stated that I felt they were trying to get over on me by asking/telling me that there was something else going wrong with my car after it had only been driving approximately 350 miles. ******** that the light was still on after it was driven from the shop to my home. I feel that they are using the fact that it had been driven approximately 350 miles as an excuse for not fixing the issue the first time.
