    Had a AGM battery installed, associate was in a hurry as it was a bit after 4:00pm PST on 6/25/24 & I had been researching batteries all morning, finally deciding on the *** Club purchase.Ive been a member almost 10 years, but never bought anything in their automotive department before, so this was my first purchase. I upgraded from a regular battery install to a better AGM battery that **** Club offers.I am a car enthusiast, and my car is well kept. The install was done while I shopped and only took a about ***** minutes.My car started right up and things seemed normal, until I wanted to see the battery that was installed to make sure the date on it was a current date.. I could not open my hood with the release.I went back to **** but the tire center was closed. I proceeded to return next day and the associate was very fidgety and stated Ill open it. I asked, do you have a lift for the car so you can go underneath to release it? He said, well, noso do this. Go get an estimate, and we will pay for it. I thought that was odd, as if to admit something that did actually happen and also explain his jittery attitude when I picked the car up. Before I left ****, I asked to speak to a Supervisor, just forward thinking, and I met ******* (a Supervisor Staff Coach) who was nice and told me not to worry about anything. I told him the story, and how the associate asked me to get an estimate and bring it back. I paid ****** and they ordered the part. That was Wed, June 26. I bought my battery Tuesday June 25. The **** Club technician told me the following day (26th) to get an estimate and I brought that in on the (27th) 8:30am.So, going on almost a week today, and I cannot even see the battery installed in my vehicle that I bought on the previous Tuesday and I hope to God that I do not need any road service or engine treatment during this time as this is my only car. To date,(7-1-24) this battery install has cost me ****** and I cannot open my hood.

    At Sam's Club, we continually strive to exceed the expectations of our Members and work hard to improve our service to them. We reached out to the member to provide them assistance with their concern and they informed us that they had already been provided a resolution by the general manager of their club. We will look into the previous advocates handling the member's case at their request as well to ensure smoother member service going forward.
