On 9/30/22 Precision Door tech came to my home to repair a broken garage door spring. While here, he tried to talk me into new rollers, new bearings and a new garage door opener. The price quoted at the time was $1200 which I thought included the door opener. On 10/3/22, the tech returned to replace the spring. He insisted that I needed new bearings and should replace the rollers, as well. Cost was quoted around $1200. If I wanted a new opener, that was an additional $1200, which I knew to be way over priced. I agreed to the roller and bearings and was charged $840. I then contacted other dealers and had the same opener the Precision tech described to me for $1200 replaced for $700. Also, that new technician told me that I hadn't needed new bearings and that I had been ripped off. For example, end bearings were $135 and actually should cost $45. I believe that Precision has its techs pressure customers, and elderly female customers, to have more done than is necessary and way over charges for materials. Springs that were billed at $320 each should have been $125 each. I saw the Precision reviews and thought they were honest, but now I see that they prey on desperate people, over charge for materials and encourage services that you don't need.

Around April 23, 2022 I had this company come out as a second opinion on a broken spring for my garage door, they charged me more than double my first estimate stating it was because the first estimate was for wrong size spring. After work was completed my garage door no longer closed all the way but since it was only about an inch and half at bottom I did not say anything, I thought the new spring was tight and would relax after some time. Last week my garage door opener started tripping my breaker box when in use, I had my home warranty send someone out to look at it, when that technician showed up he took one look at the door and said that my previous repair was done incorrectly , that the wrong spring was on my door and that would cause too much tension on my motor and that it was pulling my door apart, he recommended I call the company that did the work and give them a chance to fix it. I called and spoke with ***** a manager he said he would sent someone out to take pictures. The worker showed up took a few pictures told me he felt everything was right, then ***** called and admitted that they had placed the wrong size spring on my door. He stated they would come out at no charge and replace the spring and to make up for their mistake he would replace my motor at no charge also. The day of repair they showed up late so I was not able to be home, I got a call at work saying the tech had replaced the spring but due to a wire being in their way they were no longer going to replace the motor. I had the tech who caught their mistake come back out to inspect what they had done. I found out they had left my motor unattached, the tech said both the wire and the plate attachment could have easily been moved and the wire could have been unplugged. I called ***** back and tried to disc this with him , wanting my motor at a minimum to be put back together. They over charged , did a poor job , did not stick to the agreed new motor as compensation
