I purchased a vehicle on 5/12/24 and purchased ************* through the dealership. I refinanced the vehicle 2 days later through my credit union and purchased GAP through them. I have been attempting to obtain a refund from the dealer for the initial GAP policy since 5/16/24. I submitted the Portfolio cancelation form to the dealer on 6/11/24 . I could not submit it until I had proof that the initial loan was paid in full. Although the initial finance company received the check from my credit union on 5/17/24 , they were unable to process it for a few weeks due to the dealer not sending the title to them. I submitted the customer cancellation form to the dealership on 6/11/24 and have not received a refund. Today I contacted the ************************* directly to follow up and was told that the dealer has not submitted any request for cancellation of the policy .Customer Answer

My wife and I purchased a new vehicle from Banning Chevrolet. Along with the new vehicle purchase we purchased an extended warranty. We have since traded in that particular vehicle and have the residual of the extended warranty due back to us. We have been contacting this particular business continuously for the last ***** days with no resolution in sight. We have contacted and spoken to multiple people who continuously have given us the run around each with different answers and no resolution. We originally contacted ****** in finance 6/25 he requested we complete a form which we did in the same day and returned. We have spoken to a manager Ahman and no follow up or resolution. We spoke to ******* who took our information and no resolution. This check is for almost $3,000.00.Initial Complaint

Dear BBB,I am writing to file a formal complaint against Diamond Chevrolet of Banning due to their mishandling of my vehicle purchase, which has resulted in significant negative consequences for both my credit and that of my co-signer.In late May , I financed a Chevrolet Silverado from this dealership Initially, I was pleased with the service provided by certain staff members, but several issues have since emerged that remain unresolved:1. Unresolved First Car Purchase: The dealership failed to properly close the financing on the first vehicle I was supposed to purchase. As a result, both my credit and my co-signers (my mother) credit have been negatively impacted. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this issue directly with the dealership, I have not received any assistance.2.Incorrect Address: The dealership incorrectly recorded my address, resulting in a failure to receive the necessary documentation, including my license plates. This error has caused additional stress and inconvenience.3.Lack of Communication and Support: I have repeatedly contacted the dealership to address these issues, but I have been met with unresponsive and unhelpful customer service. My concerns have been ignored, and I have been given no clear path to resolve these serious problems. The dealerships negligence has not only caused emotional distress but has also resulted in tangible harm to my financial standing. The unresolved financing issue continues to impact my credit score, and the lack of proper documentation has left me without the necessary legal paperwork for the vehicle.Initial Complaint

I bought a 2013 ***** equinox with ******* miles for ****** in June of 2023, I started having constant engine problems a month after I bought it. I brought it in 3 separate times, the first they said it just needed an oil change and a sensor, next they said it needed a new battery, and the last time they said there was a faulty piston that has been know to be a problem in this car. I was never informed of the problem until 4 months after I bought it and 3 months after it started having problems. They said they would contact GM to get it paid for because it's an expensive fix, they never contacted us and when I contacted them they would keep saying they haven't heard back yet from GM. My car stopped running on 7/4/24 and they said if we towed it to the dealership they would help get us into a new car. Once we towed the car and talked to them they failed to get us into any other car or give us any kind of loaner or rental car. When service opened the next day they told us it would be $239 to diagnose it, but the first time they diagnosed it they only charged us $85. When I asked about the discrepancy in cost they just stated "we are under new management and that's just what we charge now". I then asked for help in getting my car towed back to my house but they became hostile and stated, "No, it's your responsibility to tow your vehicle". I tried calling again to speak with someone from the sales team but I keep getting transferred to a voicemail box that's full. I feel taken advantage of because I'm young, and I don't know how I can resolve this.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 2024 Chevrolet Trax on August 15, 2023 from Diamond in **********. A driver ran a red light and ran into my vehicle causing it to be totaled on 09/05/23. I attempted to cancel my warranty after the accident in December of 2023 but ***** and ******* told me not to. In March of 2024 I went to the dealership to get it canceled and get the check sent to my lien holder. I called my lien holder several times and they havent received anything. On June 5, 2024 I went back to the dealership where ***** was rude, unprofessional and blowing smoke in my face. He told me the warranty check was going to be sent out that exact day and contact him in 3-4 days. I messaged him on June 11th , 2024 saying Hey , is there any updates on the warranty? You told me to check back with you in a few days. ***** responded Yea the check was mailed to Insure express. I said ok. I texted him again June 19, 2024 Regional acceptance wants to know whats the tracking number for the check ? He reviewed my messages but hasnt responded. I called Saturday June 22, 2024 and spoke to *******. ******* stated that he doesnt see a tracking number for the check. Which means it was never sent out. ******* left me a number and an extension to call him on Tuesday June 25th, 2024 so he can get to the bottom of things, but when I called the number it was a fake number to a fitness place. Once I called the actual Diamond Chevrolet Buick GMC in ******* phone number thats on the website on Tuesday I asked her to transfer me to ******* and she hung up every single time instead of transferring me to *******. On that same Tuesday around 6pm I sent out a demand letter to *** owner, ********** *** only one that responded was Z at 7pm and he said Okay I'll be there tomorrow please I'll go to a different Finance guy to help you. No one has reached out or helped me. *** owner responded to my ****** review on Thursday June 27, 2023, but My problem still hasnt been resolved.Initial Complaint

Car dealer website offers pricing tool which creates an out the door price for the vehicle, including taxes, and licensing fees based on the zip code the user inputs. This tool provides options for cash price, financing , or lease. In order to get the price, the buyer must input personal information. I used the tool and was offered a price I liked. The stated the dealer was offering $13k discount on this truck. The price was agreeable, and the site give you the option to continue with your deal. I clicked continue because I wanted to buy the truck at the ;price offered. I input my address, my social security number, uploaded a copy of my driver's license and proof of insurance, all as required by the website application, so that I could lock down the offer. Turns out the offer is just the auto dealers latest version of bait and switch. When I contacted the dealer they had no intention of honoring the price. They claimed that the software was operated by a "third party" and they don't know where that price came from. Why is a company allowed to post price for sale that have no intention of honoring. This is deceptive business practice, plain and simple. They post low prices to generate interest in their products, like a loss leader, but without actually selling at the advertised price. Extremely shady operation. Deal sheet is uploaded.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: Dealership has refused to honor their advertised price. Also stated that the particular vehicle was not available, when I could see that it was available. Also stated other things that were untrue. For example I inquired about a vehicle with the 4 cylinder turbo, and the salesman told me that the *** I was inquiring about was the 6 cylinder turbo diesel. Not true. Many excuses and changing stories. All communication by this dealer is crafted in such a way as to be misleading, not revealing actual price of product they are selling. Mis leading sales double talk with promises of a great deal, "just come on down."Initial Complaint

Dealership is withholding my gap funds giving me the runaround and lying to me. I have documented Proof of them making promises that they had sent out my gap fund two years ago. It has been three years since I sold my vehicle that I purchased through their dealership and they have yet to give me a check I went in today they handed me a check, and when I went to look at it to make sure it was Tourette. They gave me an incorrect amount with an incorrect payoff date. I was then treated extremely rude and unprofessional. I explained my situation and how I was upset and that it was not right and they told me I would have to wait another 4 to 6 suites and a $200 difference is not that much I shouldnt be complaining about it.
