It was around July, August and September of 2020. This company took $3,576.84 for a loan restructure and I never received the services. ***************************** indicated I was late in paying my mortgage since Reliance Financial Group is located at *************************************************************************** ***** never contacted SPS ***************************** to do the loan restructure and lower my interest rate as promised in their correspondence. After waiting and calling this woman whose number is listed below, I was unable to get my money returned and there was no reduction in the mortgage as they had agreed. The phone numbers listed were disconnected. Therefore, they are fraudulent and I request my money be refunded. One person who I spoke to still has the same phone number and she needs to be held responsible for taking the money. There was a toll free # ************. It doesn't work. However, the woman still has her own phone number which is ************. This person should be contacted immediately before she gets rid of her phone number. I believe she is the culprit who instigated this against me and she was the one who initiated this and I lost this money and had to pay the mortgage company or default on my mortgage. Don't do business with these people. They have several locations also in ***********, **. *****. Don't allow these people to rip people off who were undergoing financial hardship as a result of Covid-19. I had to pay the original mortgage amount for 3 months plus a late fee. This $3,576.84 was never recovered nor was it processed with the mortgage company to reduce the interest rate. The mortgage company notified me that they did not receive anything from Refinance Financial Group.

At the onset if the Pandemic, in May of 2020 Reliance financial group contacted regarding lowering my interest rate. I was instructed to not contact my original mortgage lender after accepting and initiating the process. This went on for a year until I received a letter and loan modification agreement from my original lender where the interest rate was higher than what I had agreed on. The day the notary showed up to my home to sign we realized that this was not a real company. For 12 months my payments were going to Reliance Financial Group which was fake. I called them many times and they didnt answer and didnt receive any call backs. I want my money back.

2 years ago Reliance contacted me stating that they can get me a lower interest rate and mortgage payment, we agreed to join their program based on what the told us. The started by telling us to do not send anymore payments to our current mortgage provider (Loancare) we did what we were told (Please be advised we have never been late with one single mortgage payment ever) we were just trying to get a lower rate and payment, 2 years go by and every month they told us the same ting that they are about to finish or restructure and covid has delayed things thats why its taking so long. We then got a letter stating that our new loan provider is gregory funding and where to send payments, I contacted ****** **** at Reliance she advse we are about done and keep sending her the mortgage payments. Then we got a letter from ******* a notice to foreclose. I contacted ****** again at Reliance and she stated that this is normal procedure because its a new account with them and they dont know we are enrolled in the new restructure program yet and to not pay any attention to the letters from them. I then attempted to payoff the entire mortgage and ****** refused to give me the payoff and said not to pay it off as we would lose money let her finish, we were very confused and attempted to contact ******* who stated that they cannot talk to us unless we sign a cease and desist letter for Reliance. We did as they asked then they told us our mortgage was in default and now going to the modification dept to try and aviod foreclosure. Again we have never been late with one single payment. We were forced to accept the modification they sent us which was taking our interest rate from 4.25% to 7.50% and our payment from $1500 a month to $1975 a month and that our original mortgage balance before we joined Reliance was about $178,000 and no they said our current balance is $199,000. Reliance conned us into going into default by keeping 2 years worth of payments. They will not return my calls

This all began on 5/5/2020 when I signed a 12 month contract sent by ********** to have the interest rate modified on my mortgage account***********. The file was then given to ************* who then delegated it to ***********. She was to negotiate with Carrington Mortgage who holds my mortgage to get the interest rate lower than the 4% percent they claim to have already gotten the rate down to. During this time I had been making the mortgage payments to Reliance Financial Group sometimes electronically through a woman named ****** done through text message. These payments were $754.38 in which I made 13 totaling $9,806.94. My loan amount when this began was $63,024.75. This whole process took nearly 2 years, the contract expiring after 12 months. When I got the offer from my mortgage company in February 2022 it was nothing like Reliance Financial claimed it would be. It was for a new 30 year mortgage with thousands of dollars in charges being added to my principal raising the loan amount to over $77,000! According to Reliance Financial from the beginning, there was to be no cost to myself, the length of loan was not to change and the payment was to go down. They claimed to be affiliated with Carrington Mortgage, which I later discovered was not true. I've been sending emails to *********** with no response. I've texted ******** who stated he was in the legal department of Reliance with no response. They are still holding my payments and I would like a full refund. They are a predatory company who took advantage of my need to lower my mortgage payment. I'm a low income disabled former government employee and I'm disgusted with this company and their fraudulent practices.

Reliance Financial Group said they could adjust my mortgage note from ****** to ****** payment of ******** to ******* & if NOT they would refund the amount I paid them to do this which is ********* Reliance sent me a text after a year of dealing with this Friday 6/17/22 that my mortgage note needed to be paid on 7/1/22 of ********* I asked them for explanation via text & email however now they are not responding. I called my mortgage company that reliance changed me to & they didn't have any of my personal information such as a phone number or email address so ****** **** was calling MY mortgage company & acting like me. So now my mortgage note is over ***** due to back pay, taxes & escrow.

    Business Response

    Date: 08/09/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/07/20) */ To whom it may concern; ***. ****** retained our services to obtain a loan modification. Due to pandemic, negotiations took longer than we had advised her, ***. ****** became frustrated which is understandable. We advise that the delay was due to circumstances out of our control. Despite the extreme delay, we were able to obtain a loan modification in June 2022. I've attached the loan modification documents for your review. Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/07/26) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The agreement between Reliance Financial Group & myself states if Reliance Financial group cannot modify my loan, the $4200.00 I paid them will be refunded. Obviously, they could not modify my loan & I'm simply asking for my money back as they promised. I attached the agreement below. The Flagstar Bank letter was never communicated with me by Reliance Financial Group, I called the bank directly to find out that I owe back escrow & will need to pay the $39,000 in back pay. My mortgage note was $1200.53, Reliance said they could modify to $896.08 & now my new note is $1313.69. See copies of emails and agreement attached.

I entered into a contract with ************************ in October 2019. They were to negotiate with my mortgage lender, **************************** to reduce my interest rate from 4.5 percent to a lower rate. I believe that they knew they could get the rate down to 3.5 % and I signed paperwork indicated they were approved to negotiate for me. I set a monthly mortgage payment to ************************ every month for 13 Months for the amount of ********* They. Informed me that they would hold the payment until an agreement was reached with **********. ********** send me a letter indicating at *** for three months of ******* until March 2022. Then the payment would be lowered. This never happened. I called ******************* to discuss my new payment plan and interest rate in March. I was told the interest rate would go down ti 3.25 % how ever the payment would stay the same as I made no payments on my mortgage during the time of "forebearance"! Please note, this was not a modification process as I was told by ************************. Finally, not one penny of my mortgage payment to ************************ was submitted to ********** as I was told that it would. In fact my mortgage principal went up ********** during this time. I am angry and extremely upset. I have also filed a complaint with the ************************************. Respectfully, *********
