Hi, I retained this law firm to help me with an EDD overpayment case. They advertised that they would be helping with the logistics of the case. When it came down to it, they did no actual research or work on my particular case. All of the details such as finding dates, figures and payment information for facts in the case came down to me and they did absolutely nothing to help with finding that information. They had two thirty minute phone calls with me and did not speak during the trial at all except for a small and rather irrelevant closing statement. I attempted to ask this company to work with me on finding a fair price to settle on for the work that was actually done by them but they refused to even listen. I believe they are practicing fraudulent activity by playing to peoples' fears and advertising that they will be able to eliminate a large amount of the penalty (and possibly eliminate the penalties entirely) when in fact that is not due to anything they are actually doing or contributing to the case. That, along with all of the actual talking during the case falls on the client and they know this but they advertise to people as if they will be the ones to win the case for them. The fact that they know that their participation in the case is irrelevant and not necessary in any way but pretending that it is is in itself fraud. I believe they are misleading so many people in order to scam them of sometimes very large sums of money - all while fueling fear and uncertainty as part of their business model. This is fraud. I believe these people should be investigated and shut down so this can't happen to more unsuspecting people who aren't familiar with legal procedures and fall prey to the calculated and sneaky tactics of this extremely predatory company.
