5-7-22 I have a complaint to lodge concerning a business called Mabel Cat. The Mabel Cat business is a service business. One of their clients is ***** ******* whom they forward mail to from people who write to ***** *******. Last February I bought some DVD sets of the 50th anniversary of the ***** ******* show. One copy for me, the rest to be given as gifts. On one of the shows they sang the old traditional song, "This Old Man," and they sang some of their own lyrics in rhyme. I found their performance doing this song interesting. I thought I could write some new lyrics for the song that are updated to what is going on in our time, and so I did. I typed a copy to share with ***** ******* and sent it off to forwarded to her, along with the letter I wrote to ***** talking about this particular program and how I came to write some new lyrics to this old traditional song. As of yesterday this week, two-and-a-half months after I mailed the letter to be forwarded to ***** my letter to ***** and the page I wrote the new lyrics was sent back to me by Mabel Cat. Stamped on the page of the new lyrics are the words, "Unsolicited Manuscript Returned Unread." I challenge the word, manuscript, because it is just one page, not a many page novel, or many page script for a movie, play, or TV production. I also challenge the words, returned unread. They obviously had to read it to want to return it. Since the new lyrics were something to share with *****, not try to sell to her, Mabel Cats behavior on this is totally unsuitable. On the DVD set ***** ******* herself talks about people writing to her about her TV show even though it went off prime time decades ago. So the letter I sent with the new lyrics for an old traditional song would count as a friendly letter sent to tell of watching one of her shows and my response to one segment on that show. I want the BBB to do two things. Insist Mabel Cat to forward the letter and the lyrics to ***** *******. I want a letter from ***** ******* telling why she wants a business like Mabel Cat to represent her by being rude to people such as myself. ***** could select some other business to represent her that treat people in a more polite manner. If ***** wants people treated rudely, then Mabel Cat is doing its job. If ***** wants people to be treated in a polite way then Mabel Cat is doing a poor job. How someone represents ***** is how people will pursue ***** herself. Mabel Cat is a service business for hire. As a service business I don't think they are serving ***** ******* well. **********************************************************
