I pay for a warranty on tires that was purchased at Big Brand Tires in the city of Chatsworth. I took my car to have the tire checked because I had a slow leak. The company did not want to acknowledge the warranty and told me I had to pay over one hundred dollars for a tire, when I had previously gone for the same thing and only had to pay $41. Not only were they trying to charge me a lot more money this time they told me they had fixed a different tire that had a nail in it. Not even two days later my tire was leaking air again and I had to go to a different tire shop. I would like for them to acknowledge my warranty like they did previously, and I pay the amount that I paid the first time.Business Response

In July 22nd 2024 I had shocks and struts replaced on my 2018 Ford Escape Titanium at Big Brand Tires in Fallon Nevada. The service at first was great and went smoothly. Unfortunately, I started to notice a squeaking sound when I went over bumps. I took it back to Big Brand and they claimed there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. I kept hearing the noise and noticed a rough ride overall. I took the vehicle later on February 10th 2025 to the Fallon Ford Toyota dealership in Fallon Nevada. They noticed the noise as well, drove the the vehicle for a bit, and then noticed the noise came from the rear driver side shock. Upon inspection the Ford technician noticed that one of the bolts was stripped and cross threaded and broke. They spent nearly three hours drilling out the bolt in order to replace it. The repair cost nearly $800. I told Big Brand Tires corporate office. They said they would have someone contact me. They never did . I emailed a contact at Big Brand Tires and they had a District Manager contact me. At first they seemed helpful but after I sent them invoices and receipts and pictures for proof they began to ignore me . Big Brand Tires in Fallon were the technicians that replaced the shocks and struts .Business Response

I went in to have New tire sensor lights put on and my tires rotated. When it was all done, I went to pay and received my keys and noticed before I walked out that my key fob was damaged. I did not go into the business with my key fob damaged they damaged it there.. I told the gentleman R*** that it was damaged and I believe he tried to find a universal one and he couldn’t. Then he tried to see if he could fix it, but he couldn’t so then he said he would order me a new one. And this was done on a Thursday so I had to wait all weekend and my alarm was being very sensitive. It even locked me out, so I had to open it with my key and start the car to turn it off. and because of that, I was locked out of my car for a whole hour with it on. I called big brown and tire to let them know that I was not going to be there on time for my appointment because of what had happened. They didn’t care and didn’t seem to wanna help me.. I had to call for a locksmith to come out after an hour or he came out and my car was on for the whole hour, and I had to pay for that. when I went to go take my car in and got the key fob that gentleman R*** was very rude at the end when he you my new key fob he told me are we squared away now. they should’ve not charged me for the tire sensors and they should reimburse me for having to hiring a locksmith.Business Response

February 7, 2025 $84.29 I, i***********, requested big brand tire and service on **** ** ******** ***., San Bernardino, CA, 92404 Phone: ###-###-#### represented by salesperson R****** M(RM127), 1.) to take the rims off the rear tires of my car 2.) put the two new provided rims that I brought in my trunk onto the rubber tires from the rear rims that they take off and put it on the car. They did not put the two rims that I brought in my trunk onto the tires from the original two rear and did not put the two rims provided on the car at all. At no time during our interaction did we discuss two high speed wheel balances and two premium wheel weights. And they can’t charge me for that because they did not put the tires onto the rims that I brought in my trunk. The only reason to charge me for those would be if they completed the prerequisite part of the service. And even then I did not discuss that with them at all. They made it up and they did not discuss that with me. What they did was take the rear rims and tires off of my car and had to put them back on for failing. No service completed. They did not try to resolve the problem and they did not discuss a high speed wheel balance or premium wheel weight with me anytime during the time slot. They did not provide good customer service. I asked them the day of to discuss the price change and they said there was no price change to discuss even though they did not provide any service. Again all they did was take the rear rims and tires off the car and had to put them back on. They charged me $33 for 2 Mount or dismounts. They definitely dismounted a tire but failed to mount it so that had to put it back. I understand 1 charge for dismount. But not the rest. They did not explain anything. Why did I pay them 2 mount or dismounts of $16.50 each? Lastly. This store location (#1024) does not have a business license posted. I asked to see it on February 9th in person and found out they do not have one in the store. Help me.Business Response

Had an unrepairable flat so I bought a new tire from them and had them install it and thought everything was fine until yesterday when I noticed that whoever did it jacked it up on the fender instead of the frame rail leading to some minor damage.Business Response

I took my truck i just purchased in July there for it's first set of tires and brakes. And oil change. They did the tires and brakes. I have a 90 day warranty on them. The brakes are squeaking when I'm driving no foot on the brake pedal. I took it home on October 28. 3 days later me and my spouse drove to the store. We get almost to the house and there's smoking coming from under the hood. And engine smelt burnt. The tail pipe is smoking when I start it. But then the smoke would go away..it is a new truck for me and it is winter. Cars exhausts everywhere have a little smoke when it's cold im just thinking. I got into a fender bender with minor damage last week.i checked my fluids. And come to find out the dipstick was bone dry. Either they put no oil . Or not enough or the wrong oil which makes total sense. The invoice from the shop said no prior issues. My truck never smoked. I just thought it's because it's winter. I took it back Friday. They immediately topped it off. And tried telling me it's the make and model. And when I asked for camera footage they said they don't have cameras. So they topped it off to delete and hide they're mess up. And I was even insulted by one of the employees on Saturday the next day after I took it there upon knowledge of no oil when they topped it off. I took pictures of the drain plug. There are no leaks. This place messed up and needs to help responsible rehuardless.. Thank youBusiness Response

To all parties involved,
Our customer has been contacted previously by the District Manager regarding these concerns. After the initial service, the vehicle was driven for 2,000 miles (see attached invoices) before bringing it back in with concerns.
Upon inspection, the vehicle was only 0.5 quarts low on oil and the customer reported white smoke coming from the exhaust, indicating an issue with the vehicle burning oil (see attached invoices). Our customer was referred to the dealership, as the concerns do not involve any services we provided.
Being that the issues reported do not have any relation to the services provided, we are unable to issue a refund for the entire service.

I am rejecting this response because:This is not ok. Big brand tire is lying. They did something. How can they hide it with no cameras. That's right they did. And not once did I speak to a regional manager. I spoke to a guy that said he already spoke to me when I never met the guy over the phone or in person. This is wrong. And I bet the guy that did this is still working there. I got this on a acima loan. Yku guys should at least pay the loan off. My brakes r squeezing bad like they need to be replaced. They do not know what they are doing obviously. Or was training a guy on my truck. I need a response because this is not resolved.

I own a neighboring car dealership and have been sending this business over 1,000 cars for inspections and oil changes over the past two years. We had an agreement that they would handle oil changes at their discretion. However, there have been repeated issues, including: Negligence in Oil Changes: On one occasion, they drained the oil but failed to refill it, causing an $8,000 engine failure. Another time, they over-tightened an oil drain plug, though they did repair it. Pricing Dispute: Recently, one of their employees expressed interest in a vehicle I had listed online. Due to an honest mistake, the car was listed $8,000 below its intended price. I explained the error, and the employee seemed to understand. Despite this, a complaint was later filed with the BBB, which I believe was initiated by one of their managers rather than the employee. This complaint feels unjust, especially considering the significant business I’ve sent their way and the financial losses I’ve absorbed from their mistakes without complaint. Resolution Sought: I am requesting either: A formal in-person apology. $5,000 in compensation to cover the financial loss caused by their negligence. I hope to resolve this matter professionally and amicably.Business Response

To all parties involved,
In regards to the engine needing to be replaced, it was confirmed by the store manager as well as with the invoice (attached) that this was already covered by BBT&S.
The BBB complaint filed by the previous employee of BBT&S was done on his own behalf and is in no way a reflection of BBT&S.

Went in for wheel mount and dismount, with new tires. Alignment of vehicle. Upon removing the 2nd rim. They broke my wheel lug nut in half. Then told me they can't remove rim due to nut breaking off. That it will be an additional 1200 to take off that one specific rim now. So had to leave with 3 new tires and a damaged lug nut for another shop to fix. Other shop told me they accidentally tighten instead of loosening the nut with caused it to over tighten it and break it.Business Response

I took my vehicle in for a tire rotation and oil change. I only brought it in because I couldn't get my bolt off. My neighbor recommended this place. So I brought it in. Needless to say, they never changed my oil. Had to take my car in to get the oil change. Caused my car to start leaking. Then I brought in my oil and filter, and they charged me for an oil change and never changed it. I also had to call them after they fraudulent took my money . I was told they don't put the oil change date stickers in your windows anymore because most cars tell you. I want my 71.98 back. They charged me 25.00 dollars for my oil change. 36.99 for the oil they took from me but lied that put in my car. 9.99 for the oil change filter they also lied that they took.Business Response

I had previously purchased 60,000 mi tires from Big Brand tires. I went in for a flat repair and was told the tread was too low to repair it that I need to replace my tires again. I had only put about 27,000 miles on the tires. I have contacted the corporate office twice after the second contact I was called back by someone and offered $20 per tire as a refund. I believe it to be fair that since the tires lasted less than half of what I was told they would be that I get at least half of my money back. Total was a little under 500 I believe.Business Response
Date: 12/02/2024
To all parties involved,
The tires purchased by our customer came with a 60,000 mile manufacturer warranty that is prorated based on the amount of miles driven as well as the amount of time since installation. After reporting all information to the manufacturer, the proration amount came to $21.77 per tire.
On 10/15/2024, we replaced all four tires with an upgraded brand and applied a total reimbursement of -$141.49, which accounts for the proration on all four original tires as well as an additional $54.41.
While all standard procedures for completing a manufacturer warranty were followed, we are still willing to discuss this in further detail if requested.

I am rejecting this response because:In the attached copies of the invoices you can see both have a discount for a buy 2 get 2 promotion. So this was in no way discount for the issue. The only other discount applied is a partial refund of the original road hazard warranty. None of this is a attempt to make right the fact that the tires lasted less than half of what they should have
