Team Health is trying to bill me for a service, anesthesia, during surgery 11-7-24. The company who did my anesthesia has been paid by my two insurances. Team Health claims I had Dayton Anesthesiology, which is a business permanently closed. Team health claims I owe over $400.00. I know I do not and will not pay this.Initial Complaint

On Sept. 8, 2024, I went to the emergency room while on the job. I have insurance (*************) and submitted it with the hospital at the time of my visit. All my bills are paid off with the hospital. Now, Team Health has continued to send billing for services that's been paid off. They have not submitted the claim to insurance and want me to pay out of pocket. It is considered at this time to be harassment. I also believe it violates ethical billing practices. I want the contact to cease or for them to process the claim appropriately using the information made available to them by the hospital where the services were rendered.Initial Complaint

I recently went to my emergency ************** ********* in ************** NJ for a cut finger. I was there for approximately 45 minutes. One nurse pored saline solution on my cut then moments later, a Nurse Practitioner injected two small does to numb my cut. The Nurse practitioner then stitched my finger with 3 or 4 stitches. I was then discouraged. A hospital ***resentative ask about my insurance that had terminated in November 2024 as I was concerned under my fathers NJ State Police pension insurance til age 27. I did not realize I lost this coverage and informed the ******** gave me contact information for the hospitals charity care to ***l for assistance. I got home and ***led the hospitals billing and applied for ******** or ******** but was denied. The hospital *** gave me information for charity care contact. I messaged the hospital charity care department and told them my situation. A ***resentative, ******** M responded with she would put me in for a discount. On March 8, 2025 I received a discount of $1,848.07 of a bill of $2,047.10. My new bill was $199.10 and was put on a monthly auto pay of $35 taking out on the 28th each month til August 2025 went this bill will be satisfied. Im now receiving billing notices from TeamHealth for $1,245. I ***led them and explained my already approved billing plan. TeamHealth *** told me that didnt cover the Dr ***** I told TeamHealth *** its on my billing statement and is included, and reads, Physician and hospital services for guarantor acc# ******** Since this ***l, I even messaged the hospital billing department of such who told me to ignore the *** from TeamHealth and just continue on my payment plan. Now today, April 10, 2025 Im receiving unsolicited and unwanted billing statements from TeamHealth. My ***l to TeamHealth seems to not stop this unwanted communication and Im asking for your assistance to have TeamHealth cease and desist any further communication or contact with me to thisBusiness Response

I was billed ******* for emergency room services by a Third Party called Team Health. I paid my copay for the emergency room visit and my insurance company paid the balance. Team Health has continued to send billing for services that have not been properly processed by my insurance company. They have not submitted the claim to insurance and want me to pay out of pocket. I have contacted them multiple times and given them the correct insurance information yet they continue to send the same bill. It is considered at this time to be harassment. I also believe it violates ethical billing practices. My insurance company has no record of Team Health submitting a claim and they continue to state that the Insurance paid is $0.00. I want the contact to cease or for them to process the claim appropriately using the information made available to them by the hospital where the services were rendered. Received a fraudulent invoice for $1,784.00. The invoice claims to be for a hospital visit, but has no details and is not itemized. We have health insurance, and I don't see where this was submitted to our carrier. I would like this fake invoice credited in full.Business Response

I've have received bills and text from TEAMHealth for a visit to the ** at ********************* for myself, 28 June 2024 for the amount of $1640. I have not received an invoice nor an itemized account for these services. Paid Copay of $120. as required by my insurance, this hospital is in the network for coverage of my insurance plan. I am told the doctor that assisted me is part of a group called "*******************************" that is not covered by medical plan, and that is who is charging this amount, so why are these doctors at this hospital? Is this a SCAM between the hospital and the doctors at this facility? If this doctors group not under my insurance network why are they given my information? Is this a violation of ***** from the hospital seeing that ******* is not part of my network?Business Response

I'm disabled and living on a fixed income. I had a routine colonoscopy done at ****************** on Aug 21, 2024. A couple of months later i get a letter in the mail from Team Health about anesthesia services in the amount of $1350 for the service. I set up a payment plan and paid $525. But today I received a bill from ****************** that includes Anesthesia, Operating Room ********* Pharmacy and Recovery and the amount is only $320. That includes anesthesia! It appears that I'm a victim of some medical billing scam.
