I reached out to Aladdin bail bond for services and was decieved , lied to and tricked into signing documents for a payment plan that I was never aware of until after that night. I have 3 other people who can confirm this because the conversation was on 3way calls. The conversations we /I was told something completely different from what happened. She told me and my friends $4200 was needed to bail out. It was repeated several times. The $4200 was supposed to be spilt between 2 cards and not once did the bail bonds lady specify anything else was happening and she had me sign documents that were for a payment plan. I was not able to look the documents over properly as the agent pointed to signature like while talking and stating what supposedly I was signing and quickly flipped each page. Not once during that did she tell me I was committing to any payment arrangement. She in fact reiterated that $4200 was paid over two cards. She come to find out only charged $800 on the cards. And tied me into a payment plan without even telling me.

To Whom It May ******************* customer was in ******************* custody with bail set at $50,000.  In exchange for the customer and co-signer's agreement to pay a bail bond premium in the amount of $5,015 (representing 10% of the bond penal sum plus a $15 bond fee in accordance with Aladdin's rates filed with the ********************* of Insurance), Aladdin posted a bail bond and secured the customer's release from custody.

The customer and co-signer signed a very clear and unambiguous written agreement to pay the premium in installments, which included a down payment of $1,015 (paid on 04/21/2024), one additional down payment of $500 (paid on 05/02/2024), seventeen monthly payments of $200 beginning on 06/02/2024, and one final payment of $100 on 11/02/2025.  As of today's date, a balance of $3,500 remains pursuant to the premium installment payment agreement. Notably, there are no fees or interest charged in connection with the payment plan, and the customer or co-signer are free to pay the balance in full via credit card (or cash) if that is now their preference.

The foregoing notwithstanding, the customer signed all contract documents, and initialed next to the very clear payment schedule.  The contract documents contain the entire agreement of the parties, and Aladdin has fully performed its obligations under the agreements. As such, Aladdin respectfully rejects the desired settlement and underlying allegations.

My response to statement from Aladdin Bail Bonds:

I was told by the bail agent at your office DIRECTLY per our multiple phone conversations misguided information for information pertaining to bailing out of jail. When I initially called Aladdin bail bonds I ASKED DIRECTLY if Aladdin could set up a payment arrangement with me. Her direct response was that Aladdin did not do that anymore. Each call on 3way with both friends of mine,  one was the person who used his credit cards to make payment, they were told the exact information I was. No Payment plan was told to us. The person who paid and used his credit card to put the supposed 10% on to bail me out, never received any documentation . There are no state mandated documents making it clear what the obligations were . When you enter any agreement with a bail bond company you enter a consumer credit loan contract which would mean your protected then by the California consumer protection law that mandates a creditor provide notice to make it clear to any party involved what they would be liable for technically if they begin any contract or form of debt. So of that is the case why wasnt the co-signer given those documents at all??
Also, the documents I was given to sign and initial by the agent at Aladdin was not given to me to look over or read. The bail agent did not give me any chance to look over anything she just put the document down on the table , pointed directly to where I needed to sign and initial and flipped to the next page repeating the same thing. She told me exactly what she stated during the calls with the amount going onto the credit card NEVER SPECIFYING ANY PAYMENT ARRANGEMENT AT ALL.  she held the arm over the document pointing to each line when I needed to sign or initial blocking the document from view. Im sure the Aladdin bail bonds had surveillance to go back and verify what Im saying.
Not to mention, I told the agent I am a full time student in college and not employed and couldnt make payments which is why initially I asked if payment arrangements are how Aladdin bail bonds set up bail payments for the fact I would not be able to make monthly payments which is why again my co-signer who was told the same exact thing by the agent o was , that he wanted to split the 10% bond amount between two credit cards he had . So regardless of what the paperwork states that was signed by myself under the misguided and untrue facts of what we were told by the bail bonds agent at Aladdin and who had us sign documents that at the time were not what we were being told they were by your bail agent nor were given the opportunity to read before signing. How does this make any  of this legal and ethical business practices?
Not to mention Aladdin has history of doing this to other customers based off of court documents and public information. Is this the type of business you are running and purposely deceiving people in moments when theyre seeking help? There is no way to resolve this matter being it wasnt done appropriately or truthfully?

To Whom It May ******************* Aladdin agent discussed the cost of the bail bond with the customer and her co-signer ($5,015 per **********************'s filed rate).  They also discussed the down payment that would be made by the co-signer toward the bail bond ($1,015), leaving a balance due in the amount of $4,000.  The customer and her co-signer were provided with all state required disclosures, which set forth very clear and unambiguous terms as to how that $4,000 would be paid. They signed and initialed in multiple places acknowledging these terms, even directly on the disclosures, of which they both received copies. They made the initial down payment, and then made the next scheduled payment according to the plan. The timing of this complaint is curious, and the allegation that Aladdin did not provide disclosures or that it somehow tricked them into paying for the bail bond in installments is wholly without merit.

I want to file a complaint due to when I signed the contract agreement was to get a family member out of jail the family member that was incarcerated had indeed got out of jail the agreement was for the family members should be responsible for the rest of the payments if not showing up to court. By state law if the defendant does not show up to court and by all means the bill is owed.. but in our case family member called his probation officer and went ahead and turned himself in before court for being dirty on a drug test therefore the family member was incarcerated while Court was going on you barely should have been forfeited and we should have not over anything another problem I did not have no contract with the collector who is trying to collect from me.when Ive never heard of them.I want this off of my credit report immediately will take further action on this company.

      Good morning,

We are unable to locate the bond referred to in this complaint without more detailed information.  It would be helpful to have the defendants name and date the bond was issued, or the bond number that was assigned at the time the bond was issued.

We are happy to assist the customer with their concerns as soon as we can locate the correct file.

The customer entered into a lawful contract to act as a cosigner in connection with the bail transaction for the defendant.  As a result of her failure to make payments pursuant to that contract, the account has been transferred to a third-party collection agency.  The customer is advised to contact the collection agency to discuss her options to resolve the matter.

Two Jinn, **** does business under the trade name "Aladdin Bail Bonds"("Aladdin").  In order to induce Aladdin to issue a bail bond to secure the pre-trial release of this customer (who was in custody with bail set at $20,000), the customer agreed to, among other things, check in to Aladdin's office to sign routine paperwork as part of the transaction and pay the bail bond premium (i.e., the cost of the bond).  Following her receipt of the full benefits of the bail bond, the customer nevertheless refused to check in and sign the documents as agreed upon.  The law in ********** does not entitle the customer to retain the full benefits of **********************'s performance while rejecting any obligation for it.  As such, Aladdin maintains that it is lawfully entitled to pursue the customer for payment of the bond she caused it to issue to the court.

On March 13, 2022, the customer entered into a transaction with ********************** for a $10,000 bail bond to secure the release of her friend from Los Angeles County custody.  In exchange for the customer's agreement to pay the bail bond premium ($1,015, or 10% of the bail amount plus $15), Aladdin issued the bond and secured the defendant's release.  In addition to the contract documents, the customer signed a credit card authorization form which authorized Aladdin to charge $500 to her credit card as payment toward the bail premium.  The customer also made a cash payment in the amount of $100.  The total payment of $600 from the customer on March 13, 2022, was reflected in a receipt provided to and signed by the customer.  Subsequently on March 14, 2022, the defendant made a payment of $400, leaving a balance of $15.  This payment was reflected in a receipt provided to and signed by the defendant.  As such, the total amount received by Aladdin to date is $1,000.

The customer maintains that she made a cash payment of $500, and that Aladdin charged an additional $500 to her credit card without her authorization.  Again, all signed receipts and records reflect a $100 cash payment and a $500 credit card charge that was authorized pursuant to a signed credit card authorization. Without any additional documentation or information to support the customer's allegations, ********************** must rely on its records and the receipts that were contemporaneously issued and signed for at the time of the transaction. Aladdin remains willing to consider any additional information or documentation that would lend support to the customer's allegations, however in the absence of such information Aladdin respectfully maintains that its records accurately reflect the transaction.

Back in march 2020, one of my best friends got arrested the day before our birthday weekend. I had excellent credit at this point that i built all by myself. So she calls me at 4:30am and i immediately called around to see how I was going to get her out. Aladdin was the only one with some answers. Right from the beginning, the agent was rude and irritated to be doing his job. He asked me a bunch of questions including the make model and year of my car!! He wanted to know if i owned my home and who did own the home i live in etc..he finally took my payment and she was our. At first we got a **** every single month right around the first. She made the first several payments on it and every time the balance kept going up not down! We felt like we were getting ripped off so we made a payment plan with them. When we asked where and to whom we send Payments tothey wouldnt answer us they said it was all in the paperwork they were sending by mail. We never got the paperwork nor did we get anything from them ever again! Last month i get a delinquency notice saying we owe more then the initial original balance!!! To make matters worse, 10 days later they sent a derogatory **** to my credit report!! When i called them, they said Thety sent me a letter and i told them they are lying,. If they reallly want to collect a debt, WHY COULDNT THEY CALL ME EVEN ONCE??????? They never called me or my friend and ive lived in my home since 2014 and i never not get my mail.i always get my Mail. They knocked down my credit by like 100 points!!! The *** collections said that because its an old bond i have to pay it. They wouldnt comment on anything else!!!i absolutetly detest aladdin bail bonds.

On March 13, 2020, the customer entered into a transaction with ********************** to obtain a $25,000 bond to secure the release of her friend from Marin County custody.  In exchange for the customer's agreement to pay the bail bond premium of $2,515 (which represents 10% of the bail amount plus $15), Aladdin issued the bond and secured the defendant's release.

Pursuant to the customer's agreement, and as set forth in the contract documents signed by the customer (copies of which were provided to the customer), the customer agreed to pay the bail premium with one down payment of $1,000, and the remaining balance in payments over time.  The customer made the down payment and partial payments through July 2020, at which time the customer ceased paying.  Up to that point in time, the customer paid ********************** a total of $1,350, leaving an unpaid balance due in the amount of $1,165.  Following the customer's failure to adhere to the payment plan, Aladdin sent customary notices via mail and followed up with telephone calls from its ********* Services Department.  These calls were contemporaneously documented in Aladdin's computer system.  The customer continued to refuse to pay the balance due and, after a prolonged period of delinquency, Aladdin sent the customer's account to a third-party collection agency.

There is no dispute as to the cost of the bail bond and the amount received by Aladdin.  If the customer would like to resolve the account, Aladdin's ********* Services Department would be happy to work with the customer and the outside collection ********************** to bring the account current and reach a payment plan for the remaining balance.  The foregoing notwithstanding, Aladdin maintains that it acted lawfully and in good faith in connection with this transaction and rejects any allegations of wrongdoing.

We used Aladdins to bail out of jail on November of 2021 just before Thanksgiving. Our entire household got Covid in December and missed our bonds payment. They then called our co-signers in January and threatened to take their car if a payment wasnt made by 5:00 pm. We called and spoke with a supervisor who stated they dont do that. I am still out of work but my girlfriend just started working the end of January after having to find new employment following Covid. They then called threatening to take my sisters house if a payment wasnt made by 5 pm stating they were going to put me back in jail when the charge related to this bond had been dismissed. They way these people speak to people and conduct their business over the phone is worse than ANY **** collector I have ever had to speak to. They are threatening and harassing. We didnt not ask to get Covid and not be able to work. These people are so unprofessional they should not be allowed to use tactics that other **** collectors are prohibited from.

Following Aladdin's review and audit of recorded telephone calls concerning this complaint, Aladdin respectfully denies that its ********* Services personnel engaged the customer in a threatening or harassing manner.  Specifically, Aladdin does not take cars as collateral and no threats were made against the customer's home. ********************** maintains that its personnel were professional and polite, and contacted the customer to discuss a past due balance.  Aladdin has since modified the customer's payment arrangement/plan as an accommodation to the customer's financial circumstances.

Aladdin maintains that it acted lawfully and in good faith at all times in connection with this transaction.

The customer contacted ********************** to arrange bail for the defendant, whom he identified as his friend.  In reliance on the customer's agreement to pay the bail premium and to act as an indemnitor in connection with the defendant's obligation to appear in court, Aladdin issued a $10,000 bail bond to secure the release of the defendant from custody.

The customer now desires to undo the transaction, which would require a surrender of the defendant back to custody.  Such a course of action, without further justification, is extraordinary.  Aladdin has invited the customer to further discuss the terms of the defendant's bail, the circumstances underlying his request to undo the transaction, and to sign appropriate documents requesting such surrender so that Aladdin may further evaluate available options.  The customer has not been responsive in this connection.  Once again, Aladdin asks that the customer contact the local office manager to further discuss the matter.

The foregoing notwithstanding, Aladdin maintains that it has acted lawfully and in good faith at all times in connection with the bail transaction that the customer requested.
