Date of transaction: 06/20/23 The sliding door in the main bedroom and 1 window have both leaked and caused extensive damage to my wood floors and walls. Even after the window was re-installed on 2/20/24, water continued to leak. I am requesting that they cover the costs to mitigate and repair the water damage on my floors and walls with proper mitigation due to signs of mold. And to repair with new windows or refund the costs so I can look for another company. I have reached out to other window companies for their professional opinion. The feedback is that the installation is sloppy and wrong, and that the sliding door looks to be the wrong size. They have been very rude and are refusing to take accountability of the damage, I did not have these leaks before these new windows. At this point, I don't trust they can re-install the same product properly for a 3rd time. The product looks terrible considering it is less than a 1yr old.8/22/23 - First notified about the sliding door leak 11/27/23- Emailed again for sliding door leak fixed and the water damage DATE - Bedroom sliding door re-installed 1/3/24 - Emailed that the sliding door was still leaking 2/9/24 - Sliding door was looked at by project manager 2/13/24 - Emailed to notify that the second window was also leakingheavy rains 2/20/24 - Window was re-installed - air gaps discovered 2/27/24 - emailed to request remediation repair of water damage walls/mold growth is visible 3/6/24 - Sent a Newman employee to remove water-damaged walls (not licensed for water/ mold). mitigation and wasn't going to follow APCD Rule 1206- asbestos testing before cutting drywall)3/5/24 - emailed No response 3/12/24 - emailed w/o response 3/12 - 4/22 Contacted companies to look at repair cost. Window companies look at installations and provide feedback. contractor did a water test and water is still leaking ************ was recommended to me by my HOA. Their installation looks very different than mine

When a company is contracted to do a job it is expected that they will deliver quality work. In this case it is not so. Aug. 2022 I agreed to have Newman Doors and Windows replace my kitchen, family room, front room, master bedroom and entry doors and windows. The install date scheduled for December. Team arrives only to find that all of the doors and windows had been mis-measured. At the time, I was given a choice to keep the French doors in front room or change my mind and do something different. I chose the different after being given other options. At the time there was no talk of change to charges adding or subtracting. The change order was dated March, a month after the install. The new doors arrived for a Feb install. I had also paid for a building permit from the city of HB. The team installs and all the time i am telling them that they are crooked, I am told that they aren't. The doors also leaked but I was told it was the weather stripping. The stucco is applied, ******* comes out to work with doors, some are replaced. Ask for some corrections, list sent to three people, some are addressed. Pd 40K plus charged me for the doors, installation, labor, repair to stucco/drywall. so I am paid in full. Final inspections at my request is denied by the City of HB stating that there were 2 inspections missed that should have been done prior to the stucco being applied. Current status: Pending of proof or the stucco has to be removed to verify that this installation was done correctly. As of today 5/30 pictures have been submitted and awaiting decision. As a senior single woman I am beyond tired of people doing a job that is mediocre. So, Newman Windows and Doors instead of telling me according to your records, do something to correct the crooked doors in front room and master bedroom. the shabby framing, the stripping that is coming out, the back door that is hard to lock and the front doors that opens if not in locked position.

as an update, Newman came out with window people and determined that the doors and windows were installed/set wrong due to warped material. All doors and windows were replaced the framing and exterior lath redone and stucco reapplied. The final inspection passed the 10th of this month. I have been in contact with Newman, they have apologized for the horrible sloppy slow job, they have taken responsible and that is what is was asking for / this install took over a year, a great expense and a lot of wasted time and high frustration levels. I have changed my 1 rating to 3 because of the manner in which they handled the situation and accepted responsibility,
