  I would like to thank *************************** for helping me with my refinance on my home. He showed dedication to the task at hand, always a phone call away, if I have an question or concerns. Really like how they follow through till the end.

  Buyers beware: our home buying journey almost ended in disaster because of Cake Mortgage. What Cake put us through wasn't just unprofessional, it was unethical, extremely costly, and borderline cruel. We had a 60-day closing which never changed, signed a commitment letter, loan disclosure, locked a rate, provided all necessary explanation letters, financial disclosures, and personal details immediately as requested and frequently emailed and called our loan processor to ask if there was anything else he needed from **. The home appraised at sale price, our agents, title company, and attorneys were extremely professional and timely. Despite multiple reassurances from Cake Mortgage that we were not only set to close, but that they would be prepared well in advance, we found ourselves sitting at the closing table for hours on closing day. Our funds were sitting in escrow, everyone was ready to go - except Cake. After the title company had still not received the final CD hours later, our title company, agent, and attorneys asked for an explanation - all of their questions went unanswered. ****'s loan processor called us to explain that he "sent everything through a secure portal and wasn't sure why it had not been received". Then, he explained that he needed to talk to "management" but that we should have the final CD in the next few minutes, and without a doubt before the end of the day. Eventually, he wrote back to our team explaining "we are working on it, we had some IT issues but, we are working on pushing this out." This continued on for two days, until we were told we wouldn't be able close again and **** simply vanished - stopped responding all together for 8 days straight. My family was left displaced, with all our belongings stuck on a moving truck. We found a new lender, who cleared ** the next day and we closed in under a week. Because of Cake, we lost several thousand dollars on moving expenses, had to accept a higher rate, and spent a week without a home.

  Please understand these few things before taking a mortgage or re-finance through Cake Mortgage. First, understand that it is not a peice of cake. In fact, is more complicated than other mortgage lenders I've gone through. Closing on my re-finance took over 60 days and quite a few times I was prompted to pay additional money to keep my rate. I don't beleive I ended up paying to keep my rate, but it was a pain in the rear to have to communicate twice that I wasn't signing documents to keep my rate with payment since I had done everything that was asked of me. It was Cake that was taking a long time getting my loan processed. Second, Making your first payment can be very confusing. Cake mortgage is a loan servicer. I'm figuring out that they provide loans, but they will sell your loan to a third party and your payments will have to go to them. Cake will NOT keep your loan. It is highly likely that your first payment will go to Cake, but not the following. I had two different mortgage coupons sent to my house. One said pay Flagstar Bank, another said pay Cake. They were both attached with a letter saying Flagstar had bought my mortgage so I payed Flagstar. Wasn't the right move. My first payment was supposed to go to Cake. Third, Cake sent 95.00 check for "Home Inspection Discount" that bounced or didn't clear. Had a check made out to me and my wife for $95.00 from Cake and never made it to my account. Currently trying to get to the bottom of this, but extremely unprofessional. Cake charged quite a bit for a home inspection ($850). I thought "nice, they're giving us some money back for it". Nonetheless, the check was there, but when I did snapshot deposit, my bank told me that the money wasn't there. Either the check bounced or wasn't enough funds to make the deposit. Overall, I would not advise anyone to go through Cake. They put a lot of responsibility on the consumer to figure out there ways of doing business and it's far from easy.

  We just recently closed on our refinance through Cake Mortgage and I can't rave enough about them. Our Mortgage Guys Moe and Skylar were outstanding and couldn't have done enough for us . Our closing was fast and easy ! And we had the money in the bank within 3 days . Please consider Cake Mortgage you will not be disappointed!

  I recently went through a house refinance with Cake Mortgage Corp. I had a great experience despite a few bumps during the process. At first, it was a problem with the jobs and the income source. Later, my assigned loan officer quit and left the company. I had to buy back a few points but I was very please with the staff who were working with me during this whole process. It was Hayk and Artin. They are very nice, personal, prompt, and on task. They worked with me through my situation and took the time to explain everything to me. Artin pick up my account, requested an extension, and closed on the house in just a few days. Despite the bumps, everything went smoothly and on time in the end. I definitely will come back to Cake when I'm looking for a mortgage lender for my vacation home.
