I bought a car and they put hidden cameras in it and when I caught them they told me I wasn't approved for a car that I already gave a down payment for and drove off the lot with my loan paperwork etc.

I bought a **** Fiesta from the dealer last month. After driving about an hour, it overheated & threw a CEL. A local auto shop noticed that the dealer techs had left the cap off the coolant reservoir, leaving my system unpressurized and letting coolant spill. The shop refilled and tried 3x to bleed coolant, but could not get all air bubbles out of hoses. I had the car towed to the dealer. On 10/29, *** told me that no problems remained and said he would send a check to cover the work.I picked up the car, and on 11/10 on a steep hill at 40mph, the oil temp started to climb. I had to stop in the lane to let it cool. Upon opening the hood, I found drops of coolant on its underside. The coolant loop is closed, so had it been working, none would have leaked, let alone geysered onto the hood. Later on a cold engine, I found the coolant level was below MIN, so either theres still air, or a leak, or ******** a hot rubber odor comes through the **** at times, and there is a new noise around my timing belt. Running with unpressurized or low coolant likely hurt my water pump. I also noticed black dust all over the front right corner of my engine bay, which suggests timing belt slowly disintegrating. Debris was not there the day I picked up the car.Every problem I describe is linked to the coolant ************ pump, so I have every reason to assume it is related to the initial negligence. On 11/11, I texted my salesperson about the issues, and she promised to let the used car techs know. On 11/15 I left a voicemail with manager ***** *** requesting action. I am elevating to BBB because the dealer has not contacted me back.Replacing the water pump should be done with the timing belt. This seems a reasonable way to make me whole: Check all coolant hoses & connections, and replace as necessary; replace timing ************ pump; inspect or replace radiator.I want the dealer to do these repairs or reimburse for another shops estimate and compensate me before they are done.

I bought a used car from a dealership. I was assured that I could use my own bank if my bank --****-- paid the dealership within 7 days. I set up the loan on the day the car was purchased, but the dealership denied payment from my bank for 24 days and counting so far. **** contacted them over 15 times by email and phone. My bank has told me that the loan was written wrong and that I only owe $10,999 but the loan was written for $******. Plus the dealership won't return my calls and they hang up on me when I get through. The dealership also told me on the phone that they "were swamped" and that they'd send in the paperwork the next day and then the next and the next. My loan from my bank will expire. The dealership is refusing payment so they can shuttle me into a much higher interest loan. I just want to rewrite the loan for the correct amount, and have them accept payment from either my bank or myself. I paid a $4000 down payment. The total price was ****** without tax and licensing fees.

I am seeking help re: reimbursement from Honda the amount of $1, 602.11 (difference of original balance $5018 and the ballooned payment of $6,620) plus $1,400 of towing fee for total of $3,002.11. On 9/5/2020, I bought 2020 Honda CRV fr. Honda Serramonte. The base price was $26, 780. After all fees were applied, the total came to about $35, 034.72. I informed the sales person that I have intentions of paying off the car and dont want any monthly payment. I paid initial deposit of $20K that day and promised to return the balance. The sales person told me to mail the balance of $10,094. On 9/23/2020, I mailed Honda a cashiers check payment of $10, 094 for the balance. The total amount I paid was $30, 094.59. I did not get any phone call from Honda and thought that my car was paid off. They didnt give any explanation that theres a balance of $4, 940. They didnt give a new contract re total payments so that I understood that theres a balance. On 10/20/2020, Honda sent a bill with zero amount due. They sent the same bill with zero amount for succeeding months. Thinking I have paid the car in full, I ignored the bills. On 5/20/2024, my car was repossessed. I was doing chemo due to cancer. I wasnt aware why & I called them. They said that I didnt pay the balance which I didnt know.On 5/28/2024, I received a letter informing that I was in default and the balance now ballooned to $6,620. I called Honda and explained my side and faxed them copies of the bills. Yet there was no resolution and I had to pay the amount so I can get the car. I had no car for a week and was getting ride from friends to go to my chemo. I am seeking Resolution from Honda to refund the amount mentioned. I feel the bills sent were very misleading and their action was unfair. I feel that Honda was responsible to send a new contract re: the balance when I sent a second payment on 9/23/2020. ****** ******** Tel: ************ Email: ****************

I purchased a used van driven it less the 500 miles and the rotors need to be replaced. Called talk to the used car manager **** he was no help. He told me Im not going to cover it its sold as is. I purchased a warranty on the van because I understand that used cars are sold as is. The problem Im having with the sold as is that I have only driven the van for 500 miles. I live about 200 miles away from the dealer so technically I have driven it 300 miles. I tried to explain this to **** but he didnt care. I asked for his general managers phone number but I have yet to receive it. I cant believe that this was missed during the inspection this is a safety issue that should have been addressed immediately. This is a major problem it has to do with safety this van should have never left the lot with bad rotors anything to do with the breaking system is required to be repaired by law the sold as is does not apply to safety. To think that my wifey was driving around with my children and the only reason I found out that it had this issue was because my wife asked to put gas and run the van through the car wash if not I would of never found out tell it was to late. I asked multiple times to have the general sales manager call me and nothing no response. **** is the used car manager spoke to him he told me Im making the decision and not repairing anything. I explained to him that this is a safety issue he did not care.

I was approved for ***** for clean cars for all. A California program to recycle my car and go electric. I did not know I needed to stay in district of **********. I reached out to Honda Serramonte. Sent them my award letter to review and they said they accepted the *****. I signed an agreement with the ***** included. The letter said Sac Metro Air District on it. I trusted they knew how the program worked and what they could and could not accept. The next day Sac Air District called me and said the will not honor. Honda Serramonte is in *****************. Now dealership is saying I need to return the car or pay the other $9,500 from *****. I would really like this to be honored. They should have a least called and make it right by offering some reduced price for their error. Please let me know what I should do.

We purchased a used car from Honda of Serramonte on August 19th. It is now more than 90 days and we still have not received the title. We have called the business over 15 times over weeks, frequently people don't know what is going on and many "we promise to call you back" has not occurred. Occasionally we do get calls back and I have found out they never had the title to begin with and were waiting on the previous owner to send the title in. AVOID buying any second-hand cars from this business - I have figured out by speaking to them that this is something they do frequently (selling cars before they have the original title in hand). We want to return the car for a refund since we can not be driving a car around with no title. Emails have gone unanswered from the owner/manager (*******************) and he is never around when I call.

I brought a certified preowned 2023 Honda Odyssey, but quickly realized it was not a certified pre-owned vehicle because I was lied to by the Honda dealership, and I asked to return the van to them (void the contract) and that Honda dealership committed fraud, but the dealership has ignored me and will never return my calls. First, you can not sell a certified pre-owned vehicle as an AS-IS vehicle. second, their own company called Honda Link will not give me 3 free months of services that come with new and certified pre-owned vehicles because they say the van is not a certified pre-owned till this date, also the **** alarm was added without my permission as well because the salesmen that were selling me the van told me that the van did not come with a factory alarm and they made me pay for a 3rd party alarm (**** Alarm) on top of the price of the van, but the van does have a factory alarm. I would like to terminate this contract and have my down payment returned and first van payment returned and I will return the van, before I have to seek legal representation which I have no problem doing.

2020 Honda Accord Certified Pre-Owned purchased from Honda of Serramonte in March 2023. On Oct 11, 2023, dashboard warnings regarding breaking and collision sensing system alerted while driving on the freeway, normal driving conditions, with no incident preceding the alerts. Took car to Honda of Serramonte on Oct 13, 2023 under the Certified True extended warranty program (original cost of car was $1500 more because of this extended warranty). Dealership originally said car has some scratches on underside of car, which proves car was in a collision, which displaced radar sensor causing the warnings. Car has not been in a collision at any time since purchase, unknown if scratches under bumper existed at time of purchase of the used vehicle. Sensor is by emblem on bumper of car, which does not seem logical to have displaced when firmly attached (technician confirmed the sensor would not have fallen off from car vibrations or other normal use, that sensor is very strongly attached) during scratching underside of bumper from perhaps a driveway or curb.Escalated to manager, technician admitted telling Honda warranty simply that it had physical damage, so they declined to cover the repair. Manager admitted outer cover did not appear damaged, that only the clip holding the sensor had broken inside. This is not consistent with damage to the car, but rather clip failure. ****** says Honda warranty came out to look at the car and has declined coverage. Called Honda Warranty and was told they cant help, that they rely 100% on the word of the dealership.
