Address of the business:****************************** Coronado, ** *********, ** ***** ************* Phone: ************** E-mail: *************************** Date of transaction: July 9th-July 10th 2023 Amount Paid: $833.70 The business was committed to provide me with a clean and disinfected hotel room during my stay The nature of the dispute: After a long day of travel Sunday July 9th I arrive at the Coronado inn at approximately 10:15pm and check-in.As I was walking the 20 feet with my luggage to my room, (17) a cockroach scurred on the bricks within 3 feet of the door to room, (an outside opening door). I understood this as ********* is a warm climate, so I was quick to open my room door and get my luggage inside before any bugs could get inside. Prior to unpacking I looked around the room and found ***** p*** in every drawer in the bathroom vanity and when I moved a trash can to glace behind the mini refrigerator, a 2-inch long cockroach fell on the ground and quickly ran into a space under the bathroom vanity. I screamed and went and stood on the bed. Having any bugs in a hotel room is unsanitary and unacceptable! I quickly got my laptop out and called around the area for another hotel room. It was awful to have to call multiple hotels in the area to see if they had a room available for the 5-night stay I had originally requested at the Coronado Inn from booking on-line. I found another hotel room for the week and left my room at approximately 11:45pm. I used an ************ for transportation to The Holiday Inn Express in *********, **.I phoned the Coranado Inn the next morning and spoke with ******. After placing me on hold several times, she informed me that she could cancel 4 of the 5 nights. She told me I must pay for the night of July 9th, ($372.90) a $75 change fee, and another $372.90 fee for a total of $833.70 I was in room 17 at the Coronado Inn for less than 2 hours, most of which I spent on the phone trying to find another hotel for the night.
