On July 3rd, I put down a holding deposit for $199 at ******************** at *********. I was told I was eligible for a refund within the cancellation period and emailed the agent that helped me. He emailed me saying that the refund was going to take three weeks. A month later, I still haven't received the refund. I was then told to call the corporate office. After trying to contact them after three days (with no response or callbacks), I was told that it would take ANOTHER month to give me my refund. I wasn't given an answer when I asked if the refund was even in the process. It is now September, and I still haven't received my refund of $199.Business response

I had submitted a holding deposit on June 6, 2022. I was told that I would receive a refund on my holding deposit within 3 weeks. On July 15, 2022 I contacted the property to ask about my refund. They stated the refund had been processed. I followed up again in August to let them know I still had not received my refund. They told me my file was misplaced and could not locate anything. I then sent all documentation that was given to me and they found my file. They assured me they processed it and would send my refund ASAP. It's been now 2 additional weeks and I have not received my refund.Business response

This company has came and towed all my vehicles from where I live 3 days before Christmas and they have done it 3 time before as well they are harrasing me and making my living here very traumatic and traumatizing. I don't feel comfortable at my own home and can not sleep at night because I am worried they will strike again they always come after midnight when everyone is asleep and take there vehicles. This is a very inhumane act and no one deserves this treatment where they pay to live.Business response

Thank you Mr. *** for bringing this matter to our attention. We do not tow any vehicles from the property. We contract out with a vendor for courtesy patrol. We also have parking rules that are established in the lease agreement.You are allowed to park one vehicle in the carport. If you have an additional vehicle that you would like to park on the property, you would need to contact our parking vendor to have the vehicle registered so that you can potentially be issued a parking permit. Any vehicles that are parked on the property that are not in accordance with the parking rules will be towed at vehicle owners expense. In the instances that you mentioned your vehicles were towed from the property because you were not following the parking rules.Customer response

It was 1:30 in the morning the person called 4 tow trucks 2 to make sure that I was unable to stop them from towing my vehicles I was present for the tows I was not allowed a drop fee so that my vehicles would not be t Towed but instead they call anothertoe company to come and get a police tow on it so that way I pay $320 to get a police Release on top of the towing company's feet This was 1:00 in the morning 3 days before Christmas 4 tow trucks directed directed towards me targeted me and my vehicles so I had no I had no chance of getting all of my vehicles in a safe place because regardless of what I did what I did I was gonna get told by the police tow company or by The toe company that was here harassing and intimidating me and it did not stop there last night 2 more toke trucks here for me I have video of the tow truck Going after my vehicle not even parked in the apartment complex but on the street when they seen me they fled they fled coincidence I think not harassment I think so One day prior to that all my tools were stolen out of my truck so now I can't go to work So I'm just supposed to go park my stuff on the street where people can steal it says the security guard is only here to tow cars and not to protect our stuff but to make sure it gets taken away that doesn't seem like a fair deal for something that I pay to have safety I do not feel safe and I feel threatened I can't even rest thinking peacefully because of all the trauma I have sustained from trying to take care of my possession. Rules or no rules there is still is ****** humanity and there is still customer service there is still peace of mind and there is none of any of that at this complex I have to stay up at night and take turns with people that live in this complex to make sure our stuff is secure because not only does the security guard take our things but there's people that come into our complex and steel are things that we have to keep track of on our own And we pay to live hereBusiness response

My name is ********************************* and I visited Arnel's property The Cape in **********, viewed an apartment and put down a $199 holding deposit on 7/30. I cancelled this hold within the cancellation period and have not received a refund although it has been several weeks and I have followed-up several times as well. This is not acceptable. I was originally told it would only take 2 weeks and here we are approaching mid October.Business response

The Apartment Manager took my $200 application fee, denied my application... I was then told I would get the fee back but now no one will return my calls or emails and no refund in sight. I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau website and they have a history of doing this.Business response
