My car was illegally towed while parked on the street in front of my own house at 2am in a private neighborhood. The car was not blocking any drive way, fire hydrant, and is not protruding to neighbor's house. There is no "no street parking" sign on the street. The reason provided was that it was a "stored vehicle/non operational". The car has current active registration, and I work from home, so I only drive once every other week.

The nature of this dispute is a wrongful predatory towing violation. My vehicle was observed at 10:45am and towed at 11:18am, meaning that it was towed after only 33 minutes. The California Vehicle Code Section ************************************************************************************************************************************************* interfering with an entrance or exit. My car was not in violation of any of these. The area where I was parked was not designated for a specific individual either. The warning signs to the entrances of the lot were obstructed by plants and not written in a high contrast font (it was orange text on a white background). It was not visible from parking spaces which means it was not prominently displayed and easily visible. The towing company was not notified to tow my car, which leads to the conclusion that there was an illegal spotter trying to take advantage. This is also illegal and evidence of predatory towing. In summary, the wrongful towing violation is due to inadequate signage, illegal spotting, and towing the car less than an hour after being observed. I am simply requesting a reimbursement of my towing fee, even though I am legally entitled to twice the fee I was charged. Thank you.

This tow company illegally towed a vehicle with a disability placard displayed on the front from the ****** Apartments in *********. They charged us $600 to get the vehicle out of impound once we brought the vehicle home on a Sunday evening. We realize they had broken the shifter on the car and try to fix it with duct tape and zip ties.

Southside Towing performed a "Predatory Towing" on 11/22/23 on our private property. First of all, Southside Towing does not have agreement with our property. Secondly, they do not have proper authorized signature for the towing ticket. (see attached). Thirdly, most ironic, they towed the property owner's car!! Southside Towing knew they had towed illegally yet they still insisted payment in order to release the car. We had to make a payment of $293 with credit card to the car back. They have caused cancelation of the owner's schedule that day and wasted 4 hours of our time to resolve the issue due to their illegal practice.

Bad business, filled with thieves! Horrible service and misinformed representatives! Our vehicle was towed on Thanksgiving 11/23/23. The tow was warranted and we did not argue it. Although, the representative informed us that if we picked up the vehicle that evening, the fee would be nearly $569.50, however, if we waited until the next day, during normal business hours (Friday 11/24/23), we could pick it up for $418.Long story short, after so much practice, these crooks have their scheme detailed. We arrived the next morning and was told, the worker did not know what he was talking about, and the fee was nearly $570. The two front desk lady's behind the window are horrible to say the lease. The company as a whole is unwilling to admit to their mistake and correct the situation. It's plain and simple "predatory practice's" and law-suit worthy.

I was unfairly targeted and Forced to pay this fee to get my car from this tow company. My car arrived and I picked it up less than 20 min after it arrived. I did not agree to be charged for this. I reached out to ********** who is the owner of the plaza with the contact us page and he never answered that request. Details of the incident:On Saturday October 21st 2023 at noon I visited ***********. I parked in the *********** Plaza parking and was towed after approximately 30 minutes. I was forced to pay a fine of $303 dollars for the tow, ****** for Gate fee and $85 a day even though I picked it up before 2pm. Signage is in this area is deceptive and unclear. I visited multiple stores that day and for them to assume they even know where I was going is wrong. As I have mentioned I walked right past the attendant and he did not ask me where I was planning to travel to. There is no clear distinction between the two plazas on ***********. Signage does not clearly state which stores you are able to go into. Because of this confusion I was unfairly targeted and forced to pay a fee to get my car out of Southside Towing in **********.This practice is unfair and unreasonable. Signage should clearly state where patrons are able to go or attendant should ask people parking in the area where they are going before parking in so they are not towed. I have visited this area quite frequently since I recently moved here. I have never had this issue in the past and I just visited on October 18th and parked here and visited Circle and Hook for dinner.

Vehicle was towed illegally. They were called out by a home owner across the street saying it was parked on his property and the towing company did not take the time to verify the deed properly line remember across the street I was parked and the towing company illegally predatorily towed my car and said I was in the wrong which i was not I was parked on private property owned by landlord were qe both reside i had to get the police **** onsite at the towing company as they were insisting I was in the wrong and wanted over 300$ to get the vehicle out. After 2 hours of wasting my time and the police investigation they were releasing the vehicle to me. This is so wrong the company has so many horrible reviews of thus happening. They hung up on the landlord who's was willing to prove that it was her property several times this company needs reprimanded and is acting in bad faith over and over with no consequences! Please help then I had to pay for transportation from my house to there company to get my other vehicle I drove down therr my time is not free and this should have never happened if the company was performing in good faith and not in this corrupt manner I was never apologized to and when I wanted to look over the vehicle for any damage as they had to drag my vehicle sideways to tow it they threatened me if I don't sign the release paper now they don't have to give me the vehicle back I was in fear from thus large male employee and pretty much forced in my car and left in fear

Oh the early sunday morning of 7/9/23, my car was towed from a private apartment complex due to an expired permit that guests have to "renew" daily. Multiple permits have been used for my car over the last year and the tow company can see this. Naturally residents can forget to renew the pass over a weekend, and the tow company knows this and has access to the garage, and app which the permits are renewed. The total fees to retrieve my car, roughly 4 hours after it arrived at the tow yard, was $569.50. This includes a $333 tow fee, an $85 storage fee for a full day, and an $151.50 charge for a "gate fee," which is an extra fee imposed just to pick up your car on the weekend. They claim that they are "closed" during these hours, however their business is operating as usual towing cars of course, indicating that they are not in fact, closed.Obviously all the fees are exorbitant, but the "gate fee" and "storage fee" are outright unethical and inherently extortionate. They pretend to be "closed" to charge an extra $151.50 just to open a gate, and if I were to wait until monday to avoid the fee (knowing most people can't because of work) it would incur an additional $85 daily "storage fee." You are screwed both ways and they take advantage of this fact. It's the definition of a "junk fee." Additionally my hood was covered in grease. The entire practice is predatory, unethical, and gouging, holding your car ****** knowing most people can't even pay the fees to get their car. The resolution I would like is a reimbursement of the gate fee, and a pro-rated amount for the time (4 hours) it sat at the tow yard. In general tow companies need to be regulated from these predatory practices in the future.
