I brought my pony to be cared for with an urgent need matter. I was told by the staff there that they needed to euthanize her. I wanted to take a locket of her hair and let them know I wanted to take it with me. The staff told I will get a hoof print along with braids from her mane and tail in a nice pretty box and not to worry about cutting her mane to take it with me. This all happened Tuesday afternoon on august 8th. Today I received a card with her hoof print but no hair. I called right away and the veterinarian hospital told me they did not have anything noted that I wanted her a price of her name! They have already done the necropsy and disposed of her body. I was devastated I needed to have my beautiful pony euthanized. Now I am left without her mane. I was going to create a painting and add the mane to the painting. The staff were well aware I wanted the mane and tail and braided it while I was there. The receptionist continues to talk over me, I am not able to talk to a supervisor. They have no phone numbers or email addresses to contact ANYONE there. I want something done with this negligent behavior from this huge veterinary hospital.

I've never used the word bratty to describe a vet before, but there's a first time for everything. This was the most disappointed I've ever been in an "exotic" vet before. *****************************. She was condescending from the second she walked in the door, and clearly in a bad mood. I was told over the phone that the exam would take place with me in the room, but was informed after I drove three hours to get there, and after an hour and a half wait, that that wouldn't be the case that day. My rabbit is a rescue with a history of trauma and abuse, and isn't comfortable being handled without me present. She demonstrably had no experience with rescues, and it didn't appear any with rabbits, either. I found out after the fact that she is only a resident. I said that I wasn't comfortable with him being taken to the back without me, so I decided to take him home. The vet was agitated about this, and clearly expected me to give in and let him be taken back. I have never been to a vet that doesn't do the exam in front of the owners. It allows the animal to be more comfortable, but also allows the owners to get a good read on the quality of the vet and the way they handle animals. Her obvious disdain for me even requesting this was a red flag. Her passive aggressive demeanor continued in telling me that if I have issues with exams, that I need to call ahead. I nodded along because at that point, I knew I wasn't going to let her anywhere near my rabbit (who she never once touched, talked to, or interacted with), despite knowing that had already done that. There were rude and passive aggressive comments thrown in throughout the conversation. She was all but rolling her eyes, and I did catch a few faces being made. If a doctor had this kind of demeanor with me, I wouldn't let them near me. The lack of respect and professionalism was astounding. The icing on the cake was her gossiping about me to the receptionist on my way out.
