At the end of June, I ordered a new ***** Rifle from Turner's Outdoorsman in ********. In late August I called to check on my purchase. I was told "the manager would call me when it was in". I finally got the call at the end of Oct. some 4 months after my order was placed. The next day I went in to start the 10-day waiting period. When I asked why it had taken so long the manager said, "they didn't call you? It's been here for a couple of months! Sorry about that". 11 day's later I went in to pick up my new rifle. With the manager watching from a distance, I pointed out the scratches on the side loading gate. I was told "oh they test fire them, that's probably how those got there". There was also a significant amount of visible oil on the breech. Not at all like a new rifle would come from ***** Rifle's or anyone else. I swabbed the rifle out when I got home: been cleaned but there was still some residue on the swab. Not factory fresh to be sure. I had special ordered this rifle and so they had a 1/3 deposit of my money. So, I dummied up and walked out with the rifle knowing I stood no chance to get "all" my money back. I write this so hopefully no one else gets sold a used gun as a new one. I've purchased two guns since then, none of them oily, from someone else and their prices are always lower than ******** too. Do yourself a favor and don't shop there.
