How can an award winning paper have such an incompetent billing department??? For some reason the Los Angeles Times carrier that delivered the paper to our home suddenly did not feel safe delivering the paper in the early hours,The Los Angeles Times NEVER contacted me to inform me that I would no longer be receiving the paper delivered to us, After about four day of no paper I called to ask what the problems was. This was when we first discovered the carrier was no longer going to deliver the paper. The Los Angeles Times gave us no other options, so we paid what was owed in March. Then 3 months later we receive a bill from them for the paper subscription. I sent and email regarding the problem and they apologized,Then! In July we received another bill for $4.28 for current plan charges!! I just don't understand how they run their billing department??Their statements never show the balance and payments posted.Their statements never show credits for papers not delivered. All other business that send customers statements for services they provide are constantly improving their statements for their customers to clearly show simple accounting principles. I love having the paper in my hands to read and enjoy the sports section or current topics in our country! For some reason the Los Angels Times subscription department has forgotten simple basic customer service.Los Angeles Times

Thank you for contacting the Los Angeles Times. We are sorry to hear that we failed to communicate that service was no longer available in your area due to safety reasons. Please accept our sincerest apology for any inconvenience this may have caused. We appreciate your feedback on our billing statements. Rest assured that the Department concerned has received them. Our records indicate that you paid your final bill of $51.00 on March 21, 2024, and no other bills have been generated for the subscription associated with the Hawaiian Gardens address. However, we were able to locate a different print subscription associated with a ********, **, address that was started in April of 2024. Further review of our records shows that a cancelation request was processed on June 18, 2024, and will be effective on July 28, 2024. Please disregard the billing notice for $4.28 associated with your latest subscription because the notice was generated prior to your cancelation request.Wed love to have you back. If you change your mind, we have a couple of great digital-only offers for you (a replica of the printed paper.) Please visit- latimes.com/subscribe.Review fromDae Yun K

I am upset with the cancellation of the daily Sports on TV and radio feature. I am an avid reader of the LA Times (for 50+ years) and would depend on seeing when my favorite teams would be playing and especially what channel.I also appreciated seeing when other sports were playing their games. Please restore the Sport's Schedules in the Sports Section. Don't need the larger photos It was sad enough when you took away the daily TV programming.Los Angeles Times

For years I received the Sunday Times on my doorstep before six a.m. every week. I put a vacation hold on delivery for two weeks in late March/early April. In the four weeks since, I have received no paper, called the customer service line, and have been told the paper would be delivered that day. No paper. The third week I asked for a supervisor and was told that I would receive a call back by the following Tuesday. No call or message. Today, I called to cancel and was transferred to a supervisor who asked me to give them "another chance." They said they've had no contact with the distributor (the one who has delivered faithfully for years). They said they would contact the distributor and call me back this coming Sunday. They said their system is fine and that there is no way to contact the distributor prior to Sunday to find out what the problem is. Four strikes and you're out.Los Angeles Times

Please accept our apologies that the issue was not addressed to your satisfaction. We would love to have you back. If you are interested in restarting your subscription, we will work closely with your local distributor to first determine what was the reason for the non-delivery and ensure you receive your scheduled delivery moving forward. We are looking forward to hearing from you.Review fromAmber P

I respect the LA Times and I think they have great articles. That being said only because I needed an article for doesn't mean that they can charge three times only to return one payment back. I needed that money and they tripled charged me. I use the artilces for school. This was not fair how I was treated especially at a time where money is tight and I lost my job. Its not ok to do this without a warning. It was not even in one bill it was three separate bills they need to fix that and give me a full refund and also to give options for students. I just want my full money back its not ok they need to do better.Los Angeles Times

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience our actions may have caused Ms. Pena.
Several attempts to charge her credit card for her existing digital subscription were unsuccessful. For this reason, when her card was updated in October, the past due charges on the account were processed. With review of her account, it indicated that Ms. Pena was only disputing the last charge so this charge was refunded.
We have since processed an additional refund of the two other charges of $16.00 each. These should be back to the her visa card ending 8019 within 3-5 business days.
ThanksReview fromCatherine B

1 starInexplicitly, you have stopped my already paid for, LATimes delivery.
When I phone, if I get a human, they assure me that I will get a refund. I HAVE PAID FOR A PHYSICAL PAPER!
I am not on the long list of Zip codes that you no longer deliver to. ( *My neighbors get the LATimes delivered to their door.)
Today, I received a Sunday paper from the Daily Breeze, to which I do not subscribe.
Your on-line paper is impossible to navigate, and frequently they tell me I am not on that list. (Have been for years.)
No one from the head office has responded to my MANY emails, first sent on Tuesday, the 15.
