was at the la *************, today 7/09/24 .. had gone when they first opened in 22. for ear wax issue. wait times were ok. doctors were very helpful too. but not today.. close to 2 hrs with only 4 other patients in the waiting area. after seeing the doctor i had to wait another 15 -20 min. when no one came to flush out my ears i left. Urgent does not deserve to be in there name. another case of poor management. not enough staff to service even 4 patients.

I went to the exer facility in ********, ** on 4/11/23. In June 2024, I received a statement for the April 2023 visit. Not only did exer take over a year to bill me for a balance due for the brief visit, exer also said the amount was past due. On what planet does exer's inability to bill me for more than a year after a visit constitute a late payment on my part? When I called to question the bill and why I was just receiving it, the incredibly rude agent flippantly replied that it was exer's prerogative to send a bill when they wanted and that they were within the law to bill a patient whenever they wanted. I also reached out to exer via their exerpayments portal twice regarding this issue and, while they state in writing that someone will contact me within 24 hours, I have never received a response to my valid billing concerns.

This was the worst experience with medicine I ever had. I visited the ****************** location on 6/14 and was diagnosed with a calf strain. On 6/14 I learned my prescription was not at my pharmacy. I called the *************** on 6/15 and was told it was at a pharmacy that was closed until Monday. On Monday (6/17) I went to the pharmacy and was told there was no prescription for me. We returned to the office on 6/17 and were told that in fact my prescription was never sent. This is very ironic considering I asked for a receipt on 6/14 and was told it was all done electronically. The front desk person told me that the person who diagnosed me was not in and I would have to wait for her to come back. Apparently there was not a schedule for her to check for when she would be in?I recommend that nobody trust Exer with my medical needs again.

My daughter went into Exer Urgent Care Westlake Village location on January 28th. She was on a trial medication and started to have severe side effects like vomiting and weakness. She told the assistant that she had a prescription for Zofran for nausea, but it didn't work. She was told by the front desk assistant to go Emergency Room because the providers didn't prescribe any other medication than Zofran for nausea and gave her a tough time checking in. She tried to refuse her medical treatment. After having that unpleasant experience while you are not feeling well and seeking treatment, she finally agreed to check in. She called me in tears and had to leave work and go there to find out what was going on. She was rude and said she didn't want to argue with us. She is checked in and will be seen by a provider. She was there because she wasn't feeling well and had a really hard time given by the front desk assistant to be approved if she qualifies the criteria to be seen by a provider.

This is the worst urgent care place. On July 1, 2022 I walked into Exer Urgent Care in Culver City to get my TB test done for my work. My TB test was done around 2 pm and I told the nurse who did my TB test that I will be back on Monday, July 4th 2022. The nurse informed that I could come back on Monday before 2 pm. The nurse NEVER EVER told me that all Exer Urgent Care will be closed on Monday. This place is called Urgent Care and they told the customers that they open 7 days a week. Today I went there around 10 am and found out they are closed. I called other urgent care locations in West LA and all other urgent care facilities are open except Exer Urgent Care.
Other urgent care facilities told me that they cannot do a follow up paperwork regarding my TB test reading because it is a different urgent care facility. So I tried to be connected to Virtual Exer Care online and I can see that ******** is available to assist me online. I've been waiting for 2 hours and no luck. This is the worst urgent care ever and trying to get just $$$ from customers.
I was willing to drive to other Exer Urgent Care locations today but ALL Exer Urgent Cares are closed today. However, other company urgent cares are OPEN today.

I a m 38 Y/O with Anthem Blue Cross Insurance, I entered the urgent care at approximately 6:45 p.m. on the complaint date, complaining of excruciating back pain sustained earlier in the day while working as a utility locator.
Upon speaking to the receptionist, I was told that I could not be seen because the site had met its quota and needed to drive to another location.
I demanded to be seen informing the receptionist that I was in too much pain, I was barely able to drive myself to their location enduring the excruciating back pain. Keep in mind that there was plenty of time for me to be seen, given the Urgent care did not close until 9:00 p.m.
I sat in the empty waiting room (Videotaped), listening to chatter, laughter, and talking about plans for the weekend from the medical staff.
While waiting, I watched three patients quickly come into and leave the urgent care following been seen (I assumed)
After some time, indeed, before closing time, when the staff realized that I was determined to see a doctor before leaving, they sent a doctor to speak with me two times (lasting about ten minutes).
The Doctor did not come out to make a medical assessment or even offer any general suggestion for relief for my back pain (hot/cold pad, over-the-counter medication); Rather was bent on getting me to leave the urgent care. The Doctor informed me that they could/would call 911 for a paramedic to take me to emergency room or police to remove him from the property.
I tried to reason with the Doctor informing her that I did not want to utilize a paramedic or go to an emergency only to tie up the service when others could have a greater need for it. I further informed the Doctor that I should be able to be seen at this urgent care site.
Instead of providing medical treatment for me, the Doctor/ Exer Urgent Care called the Police on me asking me to leave because I was on private property. I left in excruciating back pain, upset, shocked and Disappointed.
Shock and Disappointment because of the following reason.
      1. Instead of the Doctor spending approximately 10 minutes trying to get me to leave the property, the time could have been used to evaluate and treat me medically.
      2. The Doctor found it easier to call law enforcement on me
      a. We all know how those calls can turn deadly when dealing with a black male who might be perceived as dangerous because of his skin color and size.

      The Backstory:

      a. I don't like going to the Doctor, I had to be convinced repeatedly by parents before I was finally convinced and agreed to do so. To be refused medical treatment when I made such an effort to obtain it is insulting and hurtful.

This is another reminder to Black men and women, you still may experience health care disparity because of race even when you are gainfully employed with Health care insurance.
The irony of the experience is that I as a Utility locator, surveyed the very property of this Exer Urgent care in Manhattan Beach, CA., before it was built. The same site that refused me medical care.
Lastly, to follow-up with the unacceptable experience I had the following to calls made:

Voicemail provided requesting a return call, never got a callback

So much for the years of medical training and Hippocratic Oath:

"To treat the ill to the best of one's ability... follow that system of regimen which, according to my ability and judgment, I consider for the benefit of my patients, and abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous..."

Horrible place just was there a saw dr flashbom? Not sure how to spell his actual name I went in there because I thought I had a sinus infection and he accused me of going in the once a year for the same issue. Well unfortunately once a year I get this around the same time and he told me that I come in here too often and the national drug administration is following doctors that give out prescriptions for sinus infections and since I've already come in here last year I cannot get another prescription for an antibiotic this year he only recommended over-the-counter medicines which I told him I have already taken it doesn't work. He was very rude cause me to feel inferior I will never be returning there again I will be reporting this doctor to the medical board. As a doctor you take an oath to help patient whether I come in there every week every month or once a year your job is to help patients and not make them feel like **** for coming in for medical help especially during a pandemic when everything is crazy in the world right now coming in for a simple sinus infection shouldn't be that big of an issue for a doctor to help you with he's a horrible doctor and should've never got his license to practice medicine.
