    Date of Incident: August 28, 2024 Location: ******************************** Parties Involved: Evolve ************************** (***** *****), Nationwide Insurance Claim Advocates (**** Guldshtadt)Description: In August 2024, I sought quotes for roof repair following storm damage. ******************* approached me and claimed they would manage the insurance claim "from start to finish." A contract was signed to initiate the claim process. Evolve Construction failed to communicate adequately and did not attend key appointments with the insurance adjuster. Progressive Insurance approved a payout of $14,165.75, made payable to Nationwide Insurance Claim Advocates AND ***** ***** AND ***** *****. However, Nationwide cashed the check without obtaining my endorsement, which violates banking regulations. Multiple attempts made by both homeowners and Progressive Insurance to Evolve Construction and ***** ***** multiple without response or resolution.     They are attempting to collect 35% of an estimate they say that they wrote and I haven't seen because I was ghosted by the adjuster l signed some paperwork in June 24 And didn't hear anything until 8/9 when I was sent DocuSign statements which I didn't sign because I wanted to talk to someone about the project.I called numerous numbers attempting to talk to someone so in September I began looking for another company to do the job, which I did and they came out and completed the job.This week I was called stating that they were ready to start and I let them know that the roof was ******* insurance company needs a Letter of Release from them so they can move forward with the new company.Again I am just leaving messages.I was told the contract is bogus

    We contracted out to **** because we had roof damage that eventually damaged the interior of our home. They were suppose to make sure our home was repaired correctly. Through the process I noticed they did little to no work and my wife and I had to make the calls and send the emails to our insurance company **************. When ************** sent our check **** would endorse the checks without our permission. The last two checks sent 1 for $3276.30 personal property and $3689.57 continued repair. On October 3, 2024, they cashed the check and supposedly sent us our portions. We found they sent the checks to the wrong address.and one of the checks was cashed fraudulently. I requested they reissue the checks and they refused to do so citing we had to wait until the bank completed their investigation. ***** the accounting department manager will not respond to our email request or phone calls. This has been a nightmare and **** should be held accountable to make this situation correct.

    As Public Adjuster, our primary responsibility is to make sure insurance pays the fair settlement to our clients.  The case of Mr. ***** **** is no exception.  Initially, client's Insurer, ************** only agreed to settle the repair portion of the claim to $3,473.50. There were so many back and forth negotiation behind the scene take took place between our office and Liberty Mutual as we believe that the $3,473.50 initial settlement payment from ************** is not enough to cover the loss. Then, on July ************** agreed to pay an additional settlement payment of $3,435.13 which includes $1,491.84 towards repairs.  Still we insisted with the insurer that this additional payment is still not enough to cover for our client's restoration work.  We went back again to **************, they again agreed to pay an additional $5,978.16 and $3,689.57 in August 16 and Sept 18, respectively.  In the end, from an initial settlement payment of $3,473.50 towards restoration/repair, our office was able to successfully secure increase the settlement to a little over $17k excluding client's claim towards additional living expense and meal reimbursement.

    As for the check that was fraudulently cashed, when we found out that check was altered and cashed, we immediately reached out to Mr. **** regarding this matter because we suspected that someone else took possession and cashed of this check that we mailed out to Mr. *********** Upon confirmation from Mr. **** that he indeed did not receive the check, we immediately reported this to our bank as fraud and also reached out to he **** Inspection Service.  Our depository bank immediately conducted an investigation. We informed Mr. **** that we will send the replacement check upon the conclusion of our bank's investigation which we were told will take at least a week.  Upon the conclusion of our bank's investigation regarding the fraud, we immediately reached out to Mr. **** last November 6 and informed him that the replacement check and the other missing check will be mailed out to him that same day.

    On 5/31/24 NICA Roof Claims asked me to electronically endorse an additional check for $5157.33 so they could have Evolve Construction replace the gutters on my house after they replaced the roof from an insurance claim. On 6/4/24 they cashed this check, then called me to tell me that ******************* does not do gutter work, and that I would be reimbursed this money so I could find my own ************* is now 5 months later and I have yet to receive payment, updates, or even a response. I have called and emailed on a weekly basis since then. Not a single email reply, and when I get someone to answer the phone it is answered in an overseas call center. The conversation goes the same each time. They apologize for the lack of communication, and request an update from their accounting department. Each phone call ends with them telling me that I will receive an update within ***** hours, and I never get that phone call.5 months in and I dont see anything coming of it. They stole over five grand from my insurance company and I am now responsible for replacing my gutters out of my own pocket. I know of one other person in my local area that had the exact same thing happen to them. Fix the roof, ask for extra money for gutters, gets a check, then complete loss of communication. End of the day, I cannot stress enough to never use this company. Its a total scam.

    I am rejecting this response because: I have yet to receive an "update or resolution". Its the same response I get when I call the overseas call center. I am always told it will be ***** hours and never receive a call or email back. Its been going this way since June. There has been no resolution in the slightest.

    On 10/15/24 I sent a picture of the front and back of our depreciation check to Summer so she could send the check to the financial department for the business we had replace our roof. She said they would take the remainder of the balance with Evolve Construction and send the rest of the check back. We have not received the remainder of the check nor will Summer return or answer my calls.

    On June 20. 2024 I hired PA NIC Advocates (specifically ********* GULDSHTADT) to assist me with an insurance claim I had opened with Nationwide Insurnace. In doing that I had nothing but problem with them day one. I asked ******* times for rescission papers for the fact that they were not answering me or my nationwide insurance adjuster to get the ball rolling on the claim. For 3 months they did nothing and still have very little to no contact with me or my insurance adjuster. Nationwide very neglectfully sent them my awarded amount ($11,762.42) for my insurance claim to PA NIC Advocates when it was supposed to be sent to me in only my name and my mortgage company's name. I was just told by nationwide today 10/10/24 that PA NIC Advocates cashed that check. which one of 2 things happened, they forged the check by signing my name and my 2-mortgage company's name or the bank did not do their do diligence with checking the names and signatures on the check. I plan on filing a police report, along with the Attorney General complaint file I have already submitted. This company should not be granted a license to operate this business. By the number of complaints against them this is outrages how many people they have frauded. I take responsibility for not doing more research into this company, but this should not be happening to people that are just trying to get help.

    I was approached by a sales agent with *********************** for roof repair. After a huge debacle I decided to cancel the contract. Now looking for my refund I was told that is in the hands of ****. Ive been trying for almost a year to get ahold of ANYONE There has been no attempt to answer my calls or my emails from them. I have a claim number and the agent named ***** is **** Ive written several emails to ******************************************************** and have made many calls to the numbers *************, ************* with no answer and they are now avoiding my calls. Upon checking the BBB it shows its an uncredited business with an F rating and the way they operate their business definitely reflects that.

    Ive yet to receive any communication or ETA concerning the supposed check. Ive written several emails to Nationwide Insurance Claim Advocates and reached out by phone only to be unanswered. This has been one of the most aggravating refunds Ive ever had to deal with. You should reconsider your business dealings with ***********************, they have repeatedly put the blame on Nationwide and offered no help or resolution after getting NATIONWIDE INSURANCE involved. If I receive a check I will update but until then this is where were at.

    My upstairs bathroom was leaking and the water was dripping downstairs. I contacted company called NICA (Nationwide Insurance Claim Advocates). The construction department was WD contractor services and now it is called master plumbers is the sub division of NICA. sent two people to do the work. The workers put the tiles in the bathroom and put the shower pan. They did the flooring work in the bathroom. WD contractor services person, ******, called me and told me that insurance is not covering downstairs carpet, but since the downstairs carpet is very wet, it developed mold so we will cut two big pieces in the carpet and send the sample to insurance company and then they will cover for the carpet. He also promised me that he will patch the carpet if insurance company does not cover the carpet. Well, insurance company still denied the carpet claim. I told ****** that at least finish the carpet work upstairs since insurance company already paid for the carpet. ****** kept telling me that they ordered the carpet, but it is out of stock. I selected a different carpet and told ****** to install that carpet. ****** said that he will have ********** install the carpet. After this conversation, ****** stopped taking any of my calls and respnding of my texts. Last, I talked to him was on 8/07/2024. After that, he stopped answering my calls, texts and it seems he blocked my phone number. I called him almost ***** times. I emailed NICA manager **************************************** . I also called ****** on the weekends because he told me that he is busy on week days. He did not install the soap dish in the bathroom, did not install the carpet in the bedroom and did not sew the patch in the living room carpet.

    In March 2024, I was approached by a sales representative named ************************* from Evolve Construction. **************** assured me that Evolve Construction, in partnership with ****, would assist in managing repairs to my roof at no out-of-pocket expense to me. It was represented that my homeowner's insurance policy with Allstate would cover all costs associated with the repairs.On March 27, 2024, I entered a contract with NICA. The following day, March 28, 2024, a public adjuster from NICA visited my property and identified areas requiring repairs due to water damage. Subsequently, on March 29, 2024, contractors made cuts in my walls as instructed by the public adjuster. Throughout this period, the public adjuster from NICA was in contact with Allstate to negotiate an insurance claim on my behalf. Allstate eventually approved an estimate for $18,345.64 to cover water mitigation, asbestos, and lead testing invoices submitted by WD ************************ The check issued by Allstate was made payable to the public adjuster, me as the insured, and WD ************************, and it required endorsement from all parties for deposit. Despite this, I never endorsed the check, and I have not seen any of the funds as of the date of this complaint.Furthermore, the repairs conducted by Evolve Construction have been incomplete and ineffective. As evidenced by the attached photos, water continued to leak into my home even after a tarp was installed and water mitigation efforts were allegedly completed. As of May 2024, my house remains uninhabitable with unfinished repairs and exposed areas, which I later identified had mold. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated by the lack of transparency and accountability demonstrated by NICA throughout this process. Their failure to deliver promised services, failure to disburse insurance funds appropriately, and inadequate repair work have caused significant distress, financial hardship, and unresolved damages to my property.
