    I came in on May 17, 2024 to look for a used car. I test drove a few cars and I was curious about a plug-in hybrid to see if it would qualify for the $4K tax credit. The salesman, *****, said that he didnt know, but he could check on some IRS website by using the Vin number and asked for my SSN verbally. He plugged in the information and he never informed me that my credit would be checked, and I never consented. I was told that the car did qualify for the Tax credit and it could be applied to the down payment. I wasnt set on buying the car and wanted to think about it so he told me he could put it on hold for me and made up a fake contract because someone else was going to look at the car tomorrow. I felt tricked into doing this contract to hold the car in case I changed my mind and he made it sound like it would be gone the next day. At no point did he tell me that my credit would be checked nor did I authorize it. I never signed anything saying that my credit would be checked when I was at the dealership that day. While I was at the dealership, I got an email from Experian saying that my credit was checked and I asked them about it. They said they didnt check my credit. I asked, why does it have your name on it then? Since then Ive called the dealership to have the hard inquiry removed from my credit report a few times now and they tell me that its not possible. I asked to speak to the manager, and he doesnt answer the phone. He doesnt call me back either. I called Experian today and they told me that I need to called Aaron **** to have them send in a letter to remove the inquiry. I tried to get a hold of the manager again and not answer so now Im filling a complaint against them. Im tired of getting the runaround from Aaron **** and I want something done. This could be considered fraud on their end.

    I recently had a very terrible experience at Aaron ***** The lease on my **** Lariat Tremor was coming to an end and **** was relentless with the calls and asking me to come in. They finally offered my 35K for the truck and buyout was 32K. Once i got there, the sales manager told me they couldn't buy my truck. It was explained I would need to buy the truck from **** then sale it to them. I was also told that after I bought the truck, **** added a provision to all leases. The truck can only be sold to ****, even if I recieved other offers. I would have to accept their mid offer. Basically **** made me buy the lease out for 32K, however with all the taxes and fees the finally selling was 35k. **** then bought it for 35k, erasing every ***** of equity. They were very deceitful just to get me in the dealership and could not explain the process correctly. Eventually the internet manager and GM spoke with me and actually explained it properly. At the end **** Gets the 2021 Ranger Lariat Tremor with technology package and I lose 3K of equity at a minimum. Definitely some great people there like ************************** and ****** but also a few others who were rude and dismissive. This has turned me off from **** and Ive been leasing vehicles for the last 15 years and id never get a **** again. This process seems illegal as i should be able to sell the vehicle anywhere. Theres no difference in me buying it vs dealsership as **** Motor Credit still receives the payment. Just a super scammy process that was never mentioned until the day I walked into the dealership.
